I find the YouTube videos by FairMormon to be very comforting. These people are often lds university prof who study anti literature and explain the falsehoods. I like their dispassionate approach.

I am doing better on my wishes. I have persuaded Student Services to put together a slide show on how to dress for interviews. My statistical results are looking better. The economy here is still bad but economists hope that if our currency continues to slide that exports will improve. Not too shabby!

All the above suggestions are great. I must remember Anatess's binder idea. Sometimes you need to lower your standards.sometimes leaders are called who are seriously flawed. They lack initiative, intelligence, basic knowledge of how the church works - yep I am describing myself many times there! The Lord calls the hapless to serve until they get better, which means they maybe serving for a long time! I once taught young adults where one of the young people kept disrupting the class and insulting others, really drove out the spirit. Teachers kept resigning. All the other teachers took a passive approach, tolerated the nasty little demon for a whie and then quit. I took an active approach. Spoke to both parents, and the Sunday school coordinator, didn't make a bit of difference, actually made things worse. Nasty little demon hid in the bathroom ( I was thrilled!). Now the nasty little demon is inactive, not working, living at home with parents. If I had hung on, and eventually quit, I bet demon would have made more friends and eventually changed her ways! My bad. Most of the time in the church you just have passively wait it out. Yes leaders are inefficient, disorganized and incompetent - that's why God called them!

I wish...that the data that I am working on at work would gel into a significant result so that I could stop work at a decent hour and go to the gym. That my students would stop dressing like prostitutes and homeless people during job interviews so they could get the jobs they need ( my poor rust belt students have never had a college grad in their family so they have no idea what to wear, the people who are paid to teach them what to do are too hidebound by a culture of political correctness to tell them. I told one young woman, wearing an off the shoulder dress that she could not wear that to a job interview and she cried), I wish that the economy in my country would improve so my students would find jobs.

We have lost two former bishops in the last few years and a former elder quarum president. I feel your pain.

Am surprised to hear that Utah does not have a couple of missionaries per ward. Is this because there are so many wards per square inch? I had heard that there are many baptisms in Utah.

I often wonder why these military details are included in the BOM. What is the Lord trying to tell us?

I use the squeeze bottle during allergy season. It helps me a lot. I hate getting all wet though!

we pin a piece of paper to each sister's back. Each sister writes something that they admir about the sister on the piece of paper. Everyone seems to like this. We ask each sister to contribute a shoe. We try to guess who contributed the shoe.

Would you ever serve alcohol? If you hosted a wedding would you serve alcohol to guests? Would you offer alcohol at a dinner to nonmormon family? Would you buy alcohol for cooking? To take to a party? I have bought alcohol to take to a party . I bought one with a cartoon cat on the label Called "cat's piss". I have bought alcohol for relatives coming to stay for a week at Xmas. I am not sure that I would any of things today. What are your views?

The worst I have been told is that Mormons never change their underwear. A professor told me this. Some strange reference to temple garments is my guess. Maybe they are too sacred to be washed? And that Mormon women do not enjoy sex. Reason for supposing this? Because they have so many children. Again from this professor. Go figure.
