  1. Yeah normally, on any other forum when someone interjects in a friendly conversation with more angry or something taken completely out of context, I would just either ignore them completely, tell them to get lost (abit with more swears) or be completely honest about how I don't care about them or their opinions. But here I felt I ought to be a tad more civil, delving into my actual beliefs without any humour (in terms of belief, I inject my humour most everywhere else) was new territory for me and a unique undertaking. While inside I can still be a crude, uncaring person, I try and rise above it for civil discussions.

    Noah

Well on that note, how do you explain all the religious myths in other cultures talking about sky beings and flying chariots and ships? Yeah way back, some king could have experienced a large flood that flooded everything he could see, and assumed it was the end of the world (though it wasn't) and other cultures liked that, which is often the case, and took it as their own. I can and will never believe without evidence (and there is none) that a world wide flood happened and that we (and all the animals) are all the offspring of a handfull of people. The story always makes me ask questions like; what about plants? what about animals that live both on land and in water? What about animals that eat those animals (killer whales and seels) How did they all get to where they were going, across the ocean (eg anything here) You can't site religious myths as science, science requires facts, not just "a diety no one can see or prove exists, caused this to happen and bent the laws of a planet to let it happen" Like creationism, its not science, and it never will be science. I believe in a creator, but I don't believe all this "all things are possible through God" stuff people tell me when they have no proof to anything, but the fact one cannot disprove God (one can disprove him as much as one can prove him). But my beliefs in diety are for another chunk of text entirely.
  3. that's just a gif image
  4. I make a stock from the peels and whatnot of vegetables, and soup from bones and the like.
  5. Coffee makes me sad after I drink it...I feel drained and kind of sick
  6. I like it, much more sleek, no laugh button but I have a gif for my laughs
  7. oh you can read me like a book!
  8. I got my gif for that, and no one else can have it! Fits my laugh perfectly!
  9. I'll finally get to make the Forbidden Planet of the Siv's...but if it was truthful to its source material, the universe would have to fall under my rule...then I would be destroyed/banished, because the Siv answer to no force.

    Noah

Total myth, there are many other stories of global floods from other religions and cultures, dating before the Noah one came about or was supposed to happen. I refuse to ignore the science behind it and how impossible something like a global flood is.
  11. less case of atheism and more the classic saying "the book is always better"
  12. I never liked the Noah story, feeling it to be one of the fakest sounding of the bible stories. The movie looks so CGI that I won't get into it, not interested-maybe if it was given to me for free...but even then...
  13. I don't like alcohol, and abstain from it despite not being Mormon. I would cook with it for others, much like I cooked meat when I was a vegetarian, but didn't eat it. Who am I to tell people to live my dietary lifestyle?
  14. Well since my facebook is dedicated to a doll and not me, it works a tad differently, mostly nonsense and seldom anything of real importance. Last three posts I had were "My Flaffy punched the heck out of Miltank! It wasn't even a challenge for her!" (relating to pokemon crystal and a tough-normally tough-gym leader and my electric sheep's fire punching of a happy cow) "Put a Fedora on a dog and it instantly becomes funny!" (its true) "All dolls are racist, difference is we ball jointed ones admit it!" Doll arguments are common and many feel the ball jointed variety perhaps doesn't hold the top of the standings, but many believe they do. I hold the belief, as do many of my friends, that dolls are racist towards one another. BJD's would see Barbie as cheap trash, porcelain as outdated junk, and Monster High as a sick, twisted joke! Doll segregation for life!
  15. as you may expect I have something crazy to add, I have a Lamb Chop hand puppet I talk to and (more often) use it to talk to others with, call it my One Lamb Show, my friends oddly think its funny. Put little hats on it, she sings some songs. All good fun. I'll post a picture of it someday.
  16. I wonder too what the LDS' membership numbers will be like in 10-20 years, religion in general The church has its work cut out for it, what with my finicky, iphone obsessed generation
  17. I generally say what comes to my mind, and don't dwell much on it
  18. I finally got an avatar, obviously it is the doll I am named after- could have picked a different doll and changed my name accordingly but I didn't feel the need
  19. I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemies, letalone people I actually respect. I like missionaries, haven't met a bad one yet, and the net would have you believe they are all really annoying and pushy. My tip, bring a nice sweater or wear something with long sleeves-church is freezing, and after 2 hours I am shivering and wearing my coat and having to go outside to stand in the sun like a common lizard lol
  20. Yeah there are things I have noticed LDS people can be a tad hesitant to discuss, mostly because people either take it out of context or just hear one line and their imagination goes all wild. I mean how can you tell-especially online, if someone is genuinely interested, or someone is just there to try and stir things up (like that Quaker on the Moon question thread).
  21. I like the layout, especially all the articles-I often just find something to read before I actually get here. Some nice things, all not threatening!
  22. I have a strange set of beliefs, the LDS church has given me many good things-and I thank it for that. I joke here and there-as I do with everything-but I am capable of serious thought lol
  23. I guess I never understood it like that since my parents always told me I would never be a dissapointment to them, so there for I got an additude of \"if someone loves me then they can\'t be dissapointed in me\" I never felt I could displease God, because how could I really know what it wants? Eh its early-something to ponder.
