  1. in Canada English and French are official languages, mind you French is only common in parts of Ontario, Quebec (obviously) and a great swathe of New Brunswick
  2. yo while I have never met anyone who understands me, the church is nice to me and its really me and my anti socialness that has kept me away (I'll go back, then vanish then go back, its a spiral) and they'll come to see that nothing I can really do about that
  3. yeah here we put "must speak English and French"
  4. I was in scouting when I was young, course its a tad different in Canada, and the religious aspect is heavily downplayed (only prayer that was ever said were at the end of the "multi troop" camps, I forget the specific name for those-area camp? I donno its been many years). so many foods roasted over the fire
  5. I can't recommend it enough, I do think my story this year will be better then the one last year (I felt it was too all over the place)
  6. I have 14 ball jointed dolls:lol: I could have all sorts of doll related hilarity. Doll birthdays, doll graduations, doll mission calls, doll weddings, dolls who collect smaller dolls (who collect smaller dolls-dollception) well the faerie ones wouldn't have birthdays or mission calls...heck you get what I mean lol
  7. something like that would never fly in Canada, not that I think we treat our natives any better, but we like to pretend we do. We also have a very different attitude towards foreigners Never went to Quebec and was told to "parlas en francais" (not that I really can, despite living on the boarder of the province all my life, though I can read it and get the jist of what is being said, as I discovered at a French doll show)
  8. I have nothing personally against the echidna, but it is a strange animal and there is hiumour in that. What about unicorns? They are mentioned in the bible but, sadly are either all gone (moved to Equestria, murdered) or carried off by the west wind
  9. reading bout all this makes me feel kind of bad for how I'd handle such people, I simply say something along the lines of; "no part of me cares less then I do right now" but I'm often miserable and unwilling to be told of people's success
  10. they don't, usually I tell them to "get out" (litter profanity as necessary)
  11. Oh jeez, the kitchen brings out the worst in me, I go all Gordon Ramsay on people lol
  12. People tell me I have a very "uncaring" aura about me, and rarely try and show off anything because their achievements mean little in my eyes. While no one at church tried to "let me know" how great their family is (I think such a thing would be an odd thing for someone to just go up to an investigator and say, especially one without a family) I have met those sorts of people before. Though church is really the only place where my cruel and spiteful thoughts go away for a short time, but I am pretty anti social and bring out one of the BJD's if I feel the need to be left alone:lol:
  13. everyone brings out the worst in me, but knowing this is the first step to coming to terms with it, and perhaps moving on
  14. someone finally says that and I can't give the proper rebuttal
  15. Well methinks I have decided a story for nanowrimo, it is, somewhat based on the BJD's and the characters I have made for them, but is non canon to the other stories. (For example, some of the characters are different, have different powers and leaves out the Polyamory thing Faeries have, which I am glad to know the word for a marriage with many wives and many husbands all linked together). Even found someone to draw the cover! It's my most PG story yet.
  16. what's best anime?!
  17. growing up made me care less and less for it. I was never close to my friends back home so if they ever had parties, I wasn't invited.
  18. I donno, though I get paid for my job, I loathe it with every fiber of my being, have almost been run over, and it commonly tosses me down into depression spirals I probably wouldn't have a seething hatred for missionary work like I do for the regular sort
  19. I would never convert to marry someone I also never understood why polygamy bothered people. I hear a lot of "they're trying to hide things from us/you" when, while the church doesn't talk about these things, it's not made any effort to hide its history. The Catholic church hides its history, a lot (for example).
  20. don't even have to put your shoes on to go on the internet, ... welcome
  21. I had the same thought, mind you I never took the plunge and fell away for some rather greedy reasons (and depression) Someone once told me that I would never find a religion I would agree with 100% (I don't know if he meant me or people in general), and I think that holds true not just for me, but for many people. Though I also think it can change a situation depending on what you disagree with. I hope they didn't remove that pipe, I lock my bike to that
  22. If was raised Mormon I know I wouldn't have gone at 18, or 19- knowing what I was like at that age (and the health problems I had) Truth be told I still don't feel my age and I am nearing 25, I still feel 17
  23. or echidna's which are anteaters crossed with porcupines with a pouch like a kangaroo, and they have eggs
  24. It never bothered me, the only thing that raised an eye brow was the Cockatrice thing in the BoM, that question was easily answered
  25. Yeah it is certainly easier then it was a few years back, I do refuse all medications, I don't want them messing with my mind and perhaps changing how I think and destroying my stories
