BenRaines is so old that he doesn't have a belly button. BenRaines is so old that when he heard his first joke he fell off his dinosaur and broke his stone garments.

Investigation, secrecy, documents, Oh My!

The sad part is that this will never be announced because it is not news worthy to promote good news. -
I'll have to do this from memory as he is in Florida at the moment with his mother. "He's the best Dad I've ever had!" "He has bags under his eyes." "He is always silly and making silly jokes." This was from a report that he handed in to school on his Dad. Always check your child's homework before they hand it in.

Welcome back GR!!!! You have been missed. I'm not on his list, but I'm secure in my own self that I don't need to be on lists.

Don't you hate it when you have to e-mail IT to tell them that your e-mail isn't working. True story. When I phoned IT, I was told, by IT, to e-mail IT about my e-mail not working.

Did you fix it by going back to an older version of Word. That's what we did. My wife couldn't stand 2007, so we switched back to 2003. Problem solved!

I've been on the other end of a blowout and I'll tell you it is demoralizing. You think "Why are we here?" "Are we really that bad?" When you are up 50-0 you shouldn't be full court pressing, or taking 3 pointers, that's rubbing it in their faces. How many of those girls on the losing team wanted to go to practice the next day, or play the next game. BTW~We lost 115-45 (IIRC)(a long, long, long time ago)

Hey, don't knock it. I found my wife this way. We "chatted" for a bit online, then decided to meet "face to face" and the rest is history.

I think your math is a little flawed. $1 million + $52 million does not = $152 million. Enjoy the day Elphaba.

Your understanding of Financial Bailouts
Canuck Mormon replied to BenRaines's topic in Current Events
True GM is known as a builder of trucks and SUV's, however, they are also the company that offers the cheapest mid size Hybrid (Malibu and Aura). They have sunk billions into 2 mode hybrid technology and in 2011 will introduce the first range extending electric car, the Volt. But that's not the topic of this thread, Sorry Ben.(please don't beat me).I think that part of the public is also to blame. We are all trying to have the bigger house, the newer car, the latest gadget. These companies provided a way for us to have them, even though there was no way we could afford it. The greed of the Banks + The materialistic Society = $700 billion. -
I agree 100%. Kick the bum out and change the locks. He's made his bed and now he has to sleep in it (no pun intended). If you are going to do this, do it quickly, like a band-aid. Make the decision and do not second guess yourself.Good luck.

Your understanding of Financial Bailouts
Canuck Mormon replied to BenRaines's topic in Current Events
The auto industry is not in trouble because of outdated technology, it is because of mis-management and union contracts that have legacy clauses. These companies have to pay the health care costs for workers who have retired, where as the imports do not. GM addressed this with the unions and in 2010, the union will start to pay the health care costs, but it's too little, too late.Plus they are not "bailed out", they were given a loan that they will have to repay, but the banks do not have to repay, or be accountable to where they spend that money. I'm not exactly sure what happened to the banks, but from what I can gather, they got greedy and approved people who have no business being approved for a home. Just a my Canadian perspective. -
I disagree, not everyone deserves a shot. Only the best should. Everyone can try, but only the best should be in the Championship. Should the Detroit Lions be given a shot? No, because they aren't the best. That's the whole point of competition, the cream rises to the top.Now I'm not saying that Arizona doesn't deserve to be here, because they are playing some great football, and it would be nice to see them make it to the big game.

Why do the drive up ATM's have braille instructions????

I also have 2 callings at the moment. I am a Sunday School Teacher (16-17 year olds) and I'm on the activity committee for the Elders quorum. Granted the second calling is very easy (no meetings yet and it's been 2 months), and I team teach with another Elder in the Ward, so the burden isn't that great. I'm not sure that I would ever turn down a calling, unless I felt extremely bad about it. Funny story: I was sitting in Sacrament meeting a couple of years ago, when they called my name and announced to the ward that I was the new Singles Rep for the ward. This was a shock to me, as no one had talked to me about it. I was sustained, then quickly whisked off to the Bishop's Office afterwards to see if I would accept the calling.

Those are pretty big ifs. Philly is on a roll as well. Donovan has been on fire since he was benched. I've never liked Kurt Warner, for some reason. Seems a little arrogant. As far as the AFC game, I think it will be a low scoring affair, as both sides have excellent defenses, but I think Pittsburgh will pull it off.

Would love to come, but unfortunately have to be at work the next day, and it's a 15hr drive. We might be down this summer though, my sister is due sometime this summer. Have fun!!!

The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are this year's winners: Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late. Hipatitis: Terminal coolness. Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you. Glibido: All talk and no action. Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.

Yes, we do. Alberta was the last hold out Province, but gave up when the Supreme Court of Canada ruled it illegal to not allow it.

Then why even bother commenting on it? If it's so ridiculous, what keeps brining you back. Seems to be a recurring theme in your life.
