The dues are going up? Glad I got out when I did. They were expensive back then, I can't imagine how much they are now.

It will be great to meet all of you. There will be me and my wife, and I think that's it. Maybe my wife's sister. See you all then!!!!
-
We leave here on the 27th. I believe she meant the 29th, at least that's what she told me.
-
Sounds fine. Let me know when and where and we'll be there!
-
The 29th would be good. It could be lunch or dinner, either is fine, and where ever as well. We have our car, so we can get anywhere.Moksha ~ that was funny, but it doesn't get that cold where I am. We have what they call "Chinooks" that warm everything up for a few days.

My brother in law is all set to be based there (Ft. Hood). They are moving on Monday. This was a big shock. I'm glad that they waited until Monday to go, and not last week as originally planned.
-
I'm a little too wide to squeeze through. That sounds good. We arrive on the 27th and leave the 30th or 31st. That's all I know for now. We will be driving, so we can go almost anywhere.

So it looks like we are heading down to Salt Lake City the week after Christmas (27th -31st). We plan on seeing all the Church sites and a few other things that my wife has planned. Any other suggestions? I have been there many times, but I am looking for something new to do as well. Plus if anyone wants to get together, we'd be up for that as well.

This is what I drive (without the trailer): Most of the time we drive this: Ours is the base model so no ground effects or fancy wheels. I would LOVE to drive this though: This was taken at a track day for owners of exotic cars here in Calgary. I was there because my wife won a ride-a-long for me. I went out in and NSX not this car, unfortunatly.

I won't tell you how it ends, but I will say this. It drags on way too long after the conclusion. And yes, he does strike me as a bit of a twit that way, but he knows his stuff, if he was a real person.

Admit it Pam, you are a closet Raider fan.I think the socks are hypnotizing the opposing players. That's the only wa I can figure that Denver is 6-0.

I heard that Oakland signed the pigeon to a multi-year contract. What ever that bird did, it worked because they won a game!!!!!!!

For a minute there I thought that this was an old thread that I had started. I went through pretty much the exact same thing, except with less children, only 1. After 7 years of marriage and 15 years together, my wife told me the same thing. We seperated, and she started to see someone right away. It took me about 4-5 years to begin to date again, and I was lucky enough to find someone. All I can say is not to put too much pressure on yourself. Me and my current wife met through ldsmingle.com, and I met some other nice ladies on there as well. Don't rush it though. I was on there for 2 years before I met my wife. Just be yourself and have fun. Good luck!!!!BTW~I never served a mission either, and it didn't matter to my wife, but I did find that it mattered to some women, but I wasn't interested in them, when they told me that.

Overall I like it, but when I'm at home on my iPod, the bar at the bottom prevents me from scrolling down any further. Any ideas???

So, does that mean that because Republicans hate Obama, that he's doing something right? Nope, didn't think so.

Sometimes people complain that we only try to befriend others to try and covert them, so it could be that they are "gun shy". Of course, we are also just regular people, and maybe everyone in your neighborhood is just rude?
-
For me personally, sometimes it is and sometimes it's not. I've had everything from a "warm, fuzzy" feeling to hearing someone telling me "Yes" (asking if I should marry my wife). Mostly though I get a tingling sensation whenever something is confirmed to me. Recently I was called to a position and I was questioning the calling. I asked in my heart if this was what The Lord wanted for me. Immediately I was all "tingly" and felt very much at ease with it. I had my answer. This was not a calling that I desperately wanted, so I know that it wasn't my own feelings.Does that help?

Me and my wife had been on holiday and we missed the following week (total of 3) and our Home Teacher called on the 3rd Sunday to see if we were OK. I explained that we were still not recovered from the trip. He asked if there was anything that we needed. He was a great Home Teacher. He didn't do it out of "having to", but he was genuinely concerned. The Home Teaching routes were recently re-done and he is no longer our Home Teacher, but he always says hello to us and asks how we are doing, and if we need anything. If only everyone was like this. Since the routes changed, we haven't seen or heard from our new Home Teachers. That was 2 months ago.

Proper attire for Sunday meetings
Canuck Mormon replied to funkenheimer's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
All I can say is WOW. 6 pages of bickering after someone asked his brother why he didn't wear a tie to church. Here's the way I see it (ie. NOT DOCTRINE), I look to the example set by our leaders. If they are wearing a shirt and tie, why shouldn't I. Do I always wear a white shirt? No (I only have 3 that fit at the moment). Do I always wear a suit? No (I have none that fit). Do I wear dress pants and a dress shirt and tie? Yes. I recently had an interview about advancing to a High Priest with my Branch President, and he commented that he noticed that I was wearing a white shirt more often and he thought that was good. Does that mean I'm only going to wear white shirts to church from now on? No. I think that people need to calm down, and not read so much into what others are wearing to church. If you are dressed your best, it's your best. No big deal. -

Me and my wife have used it several times and it works well. We use it to make DVD's of TV shows that we recorded.Does your computer have the audio/visual hookups (red, white and yellow) for your camera? If so, you should be able to download them right into Movie Maker and start editing. -
I have the same on my iPod, plus the other scripture app. I find it much easier to use.

I hear that poem every year at a Burns Supper as my Mom is Scottish. She's actually from the town where he died (what a claim to fame).Back to the topic. This is why I don't watch anyone else take the sacrament. What I don't know wont hurt me.

This is one of the main reasons why I go. It helps me to focus on what I need to do, both spiritually and temporally. If I have a particular question, I find it easier to get clarity of thought there.I must admit however, that it has been a while since we last went. We keep planning on going, but something usually comes up, recommends expired, etc.

The Raiders will surprise everyone and win it all this year. They will go undefeated all season and finish it with a Superbowl!!!!!! Wow!!! That's some powerful delusions I have.
