I don't think this is the destination. At least, if I'm understanding what you're saying correctly. The destination as visualized by the people supporting unrest such as CHAZ is not distrust in the authority of the current government. The destination is the destruction of the foundation of the USA so as to invalidate the notion that the USA is the beacon of light on the hill.

Yep. Bikers for Trump is the name of the organization. They planned on celebrating July 4th at Capitol Hill. I haven't heard that the event is cancelled. Hell's Angels was going to join too. Anyway, CHAZ came down because they realized they need a "white person who has a background in security"... check the vid below. It's hilarious.

Let's replace it with "funds". I read @Just_A_Guy's "well spent" comment as on the sarcasm side - maybe I'm wrong. Giving funds to an organization that mismanages funds is sarcastically "well spent"... in a babylon bee kinda way.

The article stated that there's mismanagement of funds in the leadership of the Utah Pride Center. From what I understand, the Church is not donating food. The Church is donating funds towards providing breakfasts. If there's a problem with mismanagement of funds, this donation is possibly affected. If I were in charge of appropriation of Church donations, I would probably start my own Pride Breakfast Club rather than have a 3rd Party to do it for me. But, that's just me.

And old lady in my ward joined us for sacrament meeting yesterday. Her great grandparents on both sides were slaves. She grew up in Mississippi and she was 8 years old or so when she looked out her bedroom window and a man was hanging off the tree across the yard. What's more, her sister in Maryland died last February of cancer, her brother died of Covid in Chicago in March and her cousin died of Covid in Mississippi in April. She has been on chemo for the past 5 years due to complications with lupus that I don't understand. This has caused her bones to be very fragile like that Shyamalan movie causing her to have several fractures all over her body. Talking to her yesterday gave me hope for the future. All these terrible things have happened to her and continue to happen to her yet she is the most positive and upbeat person I have ever met in my life. I asked her about race relations today and she said, direct quote, "these people don't know what racism is".

Corporatism is the enemy of Socialists, not Capitalism. Unfortunately, Socialists seem to think it's one and the same. Whereas, the Capitalists think Socialism is Corporatism on steroids. What these innocent socialist (Bernie Bros) and capitalist (Trumpers) young'uns need to understand is that they are fighting the same entity in government permeating all political parties, especially in the local level.

It's a virus. It's not going away. I don't know what the metrics is for "being over". But if the metrics is "zero infections", you're never gonna get there. If "being over" is achieving herd immunity, social distancing is not how you do it. What I'm really more concerned about is everybody putting all their eggs in the basket of a vaccine. That gives waaaaay too much power on the hands of that one person/organization/entity to dictate the direction of the entire planet. That's very unfortunate. Times like these we need to cling to the promise of Christ of eternal life.

With measurement processes having drastically changed between April and June, especially in the availability of testing, I wouldn't look at that graph to base my concerns on. Rather, I would base my concerns on the Case Mortality Rate - because, that's the significant number that's not affected by measurement changes in infection rates. See here:

Well, since the OP seems to have abandoned this thread, I'm going to take this opportunity to add more material for discussion into it for anybody else interested. Here's an interesting viewpoint by Eric Metaxas - I know him as a conservative christian radio host but most people know him as the author of Martin Luther.

Because men's ability to objectively reason their way out of danger or sacrifice themselves for the greater good is instinctively impeded when women are within that blast radius. Many movies have illustrated this quite accurately. GI Jane was one of those movies. And I firmly believe we shouldn't try to wipe out those instinctive qualities out of men. Especially our soldiers.

An apology made after such eggregious accusations simply to save face is not a sincere apology, nor is it really an apology. Let me see him go back to Don Lemon and passionately state this apology in the same manner he passionately accused people like me of being racist. Twitter apology that is easily swept under a 2 second news coverage after all the mess he created fanning racial divisiveness going on those news rounds is either insincere or cowardly. And where's his mother?
