What is your point? The Book of Mormon is uniquely the book that will uniquely bring your nearer to Heavenly Father. What are you trying to convince people? That the Bible is important also? Great, we've got it. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. The Book of Mormon was given to us at this time FOR this time. God didn't appear to the Prophet and tell him to read the Bible more. He appeared and gave him what we need in our time in this, the last dispensation. To downplay that is at your own peril. To try to convince others of that is sinful.

Abortion is a sin. I don't see a problem with contraception that prevents conception. Contraception that actually aborts is the same as number 1. Stealing from someone under threat of violence is also bad, regardless what you do with the money.

I've seen people cry because they didn't get into OSU and several other schools. It doesn't have anything to do with the church, really. It's about having a goal and not meeting it.

My brother married a lawyer. She makes a ton more than he does, so he is a stay-at-home dad and she works. He's a great one, too. Now that the kids are older they are in school and he works during the day.

The HUGE issue with your examples is they were never declared doctrinally wrong that I can find. The same is not true with same sex marriage. Giving us more information through revelation is far different than saying "oh yeah, that thing I told you before? Forget about it. It was wrong."
