  1. Practice modesty and there will be no issues.
  2. Thank you for this. I was just wondering this week.
  3. I'm taking this pretty seriously. I think I'm not going to wear pants next Sunday, just so I don't offend anyone.
  4. Hopefully he isn't as senseless as I am.
  5. Rabbits are AWESOME! Great prepper food. Low fat, but I love them stir-fried with rice, egg, onion, and peas. They renew quickly, too.
  6. That's awesome. I'm sure we could swap some good stories. It's why I moved where I am and started a small farm. Food in the basement is great, but a self-sustaining homestead is not only insurance for the future, but you're getting the immediate benefit of fresh food without the chemicals.
  7. I have an obligation to care for my family and community. That's why I practice preparedness in most areas of my life, including self-defense.
  8. Yeah. That happens all the time.
  9. Yeah. Maybe it's why. Or maybe it isn't why. Maybe it's because I'm sensible.
  10. I know what you were referring to, hence my response.
  11. He was killed in his meeting house. Your misplaced underhanded insults don't stand up to the facts of this thread.
  12. It rarely happens. However, it happened to him. I've never needed a first aid kit hiking, either. I still carry one. The list of precautions I choose to take for myself and my family is basically endless.
  13. Reason number 7592834623 why I carry. What a sad event.
  14. I had to learn the hard way, they can too.
  15. I hate tithing questions. Tithing was a huge issue for me durin investigation. My standard answer is always prayer and whether or not you feel complete when asked if you pay a full tithe. However, if forced to choose between your examples, I would choose example one with this addendum: Upon the sale of your house, subtract your purchase price (including interest) from the sale price and tithe that. Disclaimer: taking my advice in any doctrine related area will likely lead to excommunication.
  16. #FakeNews. By me also. If I misinterpreted his intent, then I apologize as well. However, I believe that in order to facilitate honest and engaging content, it is important that we call out content that is intended to be neither. Sometimes I make mistakes and am absolutely willing to admit them when pointed out.
  17. And then ended up being on one. Odd times, these are.
  18. Sorry to see you leave. I don't think your questions are taken out of context at all. I think you ask inflammatory or trolling questions at times. Other times your questions or insight is great. If you are sincerely considering the Church, I don't understand how some of your questions help that pursuit. If it seems your questions are constantly attacked, perhaps you should step back and look at the quality and intent of your questions. Maybe the problem isn't "everyone else". In the meantime, I hope you stick around.
  19. Didn't we throw them out a few hundred years ago?
  20. I get lost in the sarcasm and HA HA HAs.
  21. Well, if the fullness of times is the final dispensation, and Joseph Smith was the first prophet in the final dispensation, then it would seem to me that Heavenly Father would ensure that the Church, in general, is infallible. Right?
  22. I know. I find it odd that you wish for so many things that are in opposition to God's commands.
  23. So, the suggestions here are that the Church follows the commands of God because they are afraid the money will dry up, not because God wills it?
  24. I would bring it up to your bishop. Not because I think it's a crushing event, but because this has weighed on you for 9 years. You likely won't be able to put it past you until you do. I don't think it will amount to anything, but it will be a weight off your shoulders and you'll no longer question it.
  25. Herbal tea, not organic. Herbal teas aren't really tea, such as Yerba Mate, Guayusa, and Yaupon. There are also fake coffees like Pero and Postum.
