In November, yes. I think most leftists will as well. I also think that a lot of us will be using the "uncommitted" option today (or yesterday in my case) to send Biden a message.

Almost all my liberal friends are swallowing a bitter pill and voting for Biden. If your side is wise they’d ride the GOP civil war to Bidens second term and laugh for the entire ride.

National Review is good for conservative commentary and insights. What I like about the WSJ is that it's news section is rated as moderate, while its editorial section is moderately conservative. It hasn't joined the Trump Train, but still leans into a pro-America, pro-free enterprise perspective. It's faith friendly, though not specifically religious. I just searched and found out that The Weekly Standard still exists (editor = Bill Krystol). It's conservative, but I'm sure Trump would label it Globalist. I always remember one colleague saying that I cheated when it came to news because I read (rather than listen/watch). 😉

I generally go to the Wall Street Journal, but sometimes read the Federalist, New York Post, and Real Clear Politics. What better source(s) do you have in mind?

I totally agree with you. Before j6 the overwhelming majority of conservatives were law and order types who would be appalled at such behavior. Now, Trumpers either endorse it, wish it went further, or try to downplay it.  Most old school pre Trump conservatives might not be comfortable with what happened, but will point out violence the left has done to try and reconcile their views on J6.

It’s part of his plan. He knows his followers thrive on hate and anger. He knows his enemies thrive on hate on anger. So why not use both of them for his own political gains?

Trump is many things but he isn’t stupid. He knows how to manipulate people.

If we were looking at a repeat of Trump's first four years, this would be easy. A super majority SCOTUS. Excellent. The problem is that we have our judges and Trump presents as an isolationist. Further, he's driven away some of his most redeeming supporters (Pence and Barr--remember that BOP was under the DOJ during Barr's tenure--he was a solid leader). I support Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan--I'm not sure Trump will. Biden's weak--but at least he's on board. Harris? All bets are off with her. BUT Trump is an isolationist and a protectionist. He also seems to feed the worst elements--both his supporters and his enemies. Those 80% of us in between just watch in horror.

Agree. In politics perfect really is the worst enemy of the good, but 2024 is the most depressing choice in decades.

I’m seeing people tell us to vote for Trump because, correctly, a staying home or going third party is voting for Biden.
However, most of these people stayed home or voted third party in 08 and 12. Now they are trying to act like the pragmatic realists lecturing their idealistic friends. It’s astounding how politics changes people.

I don't think I have EVER been in a ward with 100 active adults 😆
Even counting kids Im not sure tbh
the problem I see with this is if wards grow too geographically big, it will deter people from going, either thru barriers (winter in Canada, lack of public transport) or apathy. Some People here already drive 45-90 mins to attend a unit, will they drive HOURS each way every Sunday?

I hated voting for Trump in 2016 and 2020. For reasons outlined by @JohnsonJonesI might not be able to do it this time. If I vote for Biden it'll be my first Democrat vote for President since I began voting (previous millenium). God is good. This election is tough.

It is definitely a very big sign.  Almost over?  No, lots of things still have to happen, that is just a big red flag warning in my opinion.

To you, someone who believes that Jesus was God, it seems like a stupid question. Nearly 70% of the world's population do NOT believe that Jesus was a divine being.
To be clear, I'm not saying that Jesus was racist. There's no reasonable evidence for that. I'm just saying that a majority of people on the planet don't hold the views of him that you do, views that make the idea of Christ being racist inconceivable.
I forget the exact reference(s), but there are stories in the apocryphal "gospels" that tell of a young Jesus using his divine powers to enact retribution on youth that had teased him. I know that isn't worth much because it isn't canon, but it's an interesting tidbit for those who believe that apocryphal texts have merit.

How can an eclipse be a sign of the end of times when eclipses have always occurred throughout history?
Hear ye, hear ye, in the end of days something will happen that......has happened since the earth, sun and moon were created and put in their orbits. But....you know...THIS time it's a sign....

I don't necessarily argue with this. However, I remember the saying, "The favorite doesn't always win but it's still the best bet." Those who give themselves over to the discipline of formal study have a higher chance of exhibiting intelligence than those who won't.

Yes I’m fine. Just getting older. We moved back to “Zion” from the east coast 21 months ago. My husband started working from home in 2020 and that allowed us to make the move. We’re up to almost 11 grandkids and all but two kids married now. Empty nesting is a bit dull but we have trips in the works. Youngest just left for her mission 5 weeks ago.

A big part of why we're spending so much money on our military is because our ostensible allies spend so little on theirs.
