I have created my own channel on youtube.  Basically I am using my best videos that I use in apologetics,  and other videos that the church has released,.  Trying to broaden the audience with fresh titles.

One successful title is "The Mormon church and Syrian refugees".

It appears to me that she cloistered herself from the world, hoping that would resolve her spiritual issues.  In effect, the temple became her convent.

I think she would have had better results working with the YM activities, serving at a food bank, Cub Scout volunteer, active in the PTA, etc.

When a person focuses so much on their inner daemons, it becomes unhealthy.  Let's call it  "spiritual suicide" -- you're dead but don't know it.

Let's look at it in another way.

Did Joseph Smith really say there were men on the moon?  In both cases there were reputable men who wrote something about Joseph Smith decades after his death, but unconfirmed by anyone else.  And in both cases they did not give any sources.

It really helps to have experience in translating the classical languages, such as Latin and Greek.  Verbs are placed at the end of sentences, nouns and adjectives separated by entire phrases, etc.  Just another day at the office.

English has the annoying habit of being constrained by where words are placed, rather than agreement by case and gender.  Once you learn the endings of verbs and nouns, things just fit together regardless of placement.

I would like to point out that this record was clearly written by someone with a very sophisticated familiarity with ancient languages, and not by somebody whose sole language is English.  Its awkward structure belies a sophisticated understanding of this language.

On the level of "good, better, best", the law of compensation, for me, is on the bottom rung of any motivation that I may have to live the Gospel principles.

For example, we would all agree, I suppose, that living the law of tithing would be accompanied with a spirit of rejoicing rather than bean counting.  This is demonstrated by the absurdity that tithing is like fire insurance.  Heaven spare us all from such spiritual twinkies.

We go to the temple to do the work of exaltation for our ancestors.  It is work, it is service.  If we personally gain from it, that is wonderful, but we shouldn't deem it a failure if we don't have some profound spiritual experience, anymore than if we had worked at the bishop's storehouse.

Let me say again, I have a very dry sense of humor.

But I would observe that while Hitler and Obama had very different strategies, the goal is basically very similar.  Both want to marginalize and destroy their enemies, Hitler wanted to rule over the world, while Obama is  satisfied with ruling over just one country.

He was very serious about that "third term".  The thousand year reich is quite a realistic goal for him as his ultimate legacy.  For example, "climate change" is not about the weather, but all about power and control.

    Essentials?  Scriptures are it.

Extremely useful?  I'd start with the Church's Mormonism 101 study manual "Gospel Principles".  It's available in e-book form free from LDS.org, and I think Amazon, App Store etc (though I could be wrong about that).  If you'd prefer a hard-copy, your local LDS church will be happy to give you a free one (you can find your local LDS church via this link: https://www.lds.org/maps).

I'd stress the importance of in-person interaction (Mormonism is a lot about community).  Feel free to stop by your local LDS church any Sunday or most weekday nights--  visitors are always welcome.  If you'd rather meet at your house or somewhere else, local missionaries or just regular missionaries can do that for you (you can reach them either by calling the number listed for your local church, or simply ask the on-line missionaries to connect you at mormon.org/chat)

The Destroyer of the Constitution, with Reid's support and assistance, was then elected as President.

Have you thought about why they are crying?  For many this is not just an emotional outburst.

====Let me give you an example.  I was recently driving to the temple.  I was on a side street and suddenly the axel broke and the car immediately stopped.  The wheel of the car was jammed up against the bumper, and was frozen in place.  The car could not move at all.
But everything was fine, except in about 15 minutes I would have been on the interstate driving 60 MPH.  If this had happened just a little later, I would not be here talking with you.  The car certainly would have flipped over in a serious accident.

=====My teenage daughter had been invited by a couple of guys that she knew from school to drive down to the lake that evening.  She like to run around, but this time she turned them down.  Later she found out that they had invited another girl, then murdered her and burned the body.

======My oldest daughter and her husband and family went to a wedding a few miles away from their home.  This wedding had been postponed several times and finally the day came.  One hour after the family left, a tornado struck her neighborhood, it missed all the houses in that neighborhood except hers.  It was totally destroyed down to the foundation.  If they had been in that house, there is no question that they would have been seriously hurt or killed.

======My son was working on a construction site in Alabama.  The electrician on the job got a phone call from his wife to leave because there were reports of a tornado.  The rest of the crew wanted to keep working, but they couldn't do anything with their only electrician gone, so they also left.  A short time later a tornado hit the very same area where they were working, and there were several casualties.  He told me that he could see alot of dead bodies when he visited it later.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord has protected me and my family.  When I pray to Him, am I just "being emotional" if I cry in gratitude for what He has done.

You are mistaken.  As one of our best and brightest suggested --  a 90% tax on the wealthy.

That should solve the problem, although a 100% taxation rate would even be better!  These are the future leaders of America.

RULE #1  You won't find the truth here in a discussion with us.

Read the Book of Mormon with an open mind and pray to God whether it is true.  If it is true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet, if not, then he was no better than any other theologian or scholar in the Christian churches.

The truth will indeed set you free, but that is your burden, not ours.  That's between you and the Lord.
