Pam as I now understand it. Jesus came not to annul the Abrahamic Covenant but to make it better. Were once one was adopted into it by Blood and it excluded others....Jesus came and modified it to Include The Spirituality aspect of men. To be sure there is a lineage of the flesh but there is also a Spiritual lineage. Each of the twelve tribes had weaknesses and strengths that was particular to it's own tribe. This goes hand in hand with the Spirit aspect of it. For what is on the Earth is second to the Spirit. Today blood may be taken into consideration when the Spiritual temperament matches the blood lineage...but mostly it is the Spiritual temperament that decides into which tribes one goes in, even a Repentant gentile who may not have one drop of Israel, may be adopted into a tribe by faith. To be sure the Spiritual temperament will decide into which tribe that person goes into. Do you know why knowledge is important?...like I have said knowledge is not righteousness yet it is very important because, it helps in forming our vision. The Lord said my people is dying because they have no vision...First come knowledge, then come the vision created by the knowledge, then follows the hope of it and then comes faith and works. Every Elect has an unquenchable thirst and hunger for the righteousness of GOD and they shall continue on in their path until they have received the promises if they are not interrupted by death. We are never static either we are rising to newer and greater things in thoughts, knowledge and wisdom or we are regressing. That is way of things. Whether we increase or decrease in all things it is up to us. That is where the prophet of the Church comes in. He can set goals for us for which as a people we may have a common vision, by which the faith of many can be added so that it may be made manifest in time. And finally...Knowing about Christ is not knowing GOD. A man can learn about Christ all His life and yet not know GOD. God said of these that they are always learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth. The symbology for this...is the carpenter's Square. L To know GOD we have to cease just learning about Him which is the illusion and the horizontal leg of the square. To actually know GOD is to raise our knowledge heavenward by experiencing. - Which is walking in the way of perfection. (walking in the light as Christ is in the Light NT) Now you noticed that eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil brought death to Adam and Eve and the world fell to what we have today. When this happened GOD sent an Angel with a fiery sword to protect Adam and Eve from eating of the tree of life. So that they may not live forever in their sins. Death, woes, diseases, famines, accidents, plagues, corruption and aging etc came into the world to kill men and this is of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil. The tree of life is characterized by the gospel of perfection if you read Hebrews chapter 6....we are to "THEREFORE leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection...." There are basically two gospels. One for each of the two trees of the garden of Eden. The Gospel that belongs to the Tree of knowledge of good and evil is called the gospel of repentance. Which Christ said that He came to call sinners into repentance. As long as men keep eating from that tree they need to stay in repentance. Since they value "judging" more than non-judgmental-ness. The only true way to judge good and evil is to taste it. And when we taste evil..we need to repent. The self righteous judge good and evil by pre-judice...so these are not any more advance in their knowledge of good and evil. This is as far I will go and I hope you can see where I am coming from. Giving others this knowledge is a beginning and all can build on it ..and after gaining a vision,,,they can progress to hope and after that to faith and works to make it a reality in their lives. Knowledge versus belief. A belief becomes knowledge when we have experience it. A truth not lived cannot set anyone free. Truth shall only set men free when they adopt it and live it in their lives. The only way, we can know about good and evil that does not require "Tasting" (touching) is when the Lord tell us. And the Lord has given some commandments of things that we may never touch in order to find out if it is evil or not..such as to "Not Kill" for example...the rest where there is no commandment given...we are free to partake and realize it by fruits. It is much better to learn to walk in the Spirit then to spend our time tasting whether a thing is good or evil. There is no limit under the heavens to good and evil...and we could spend all of eternity in judging good and evil and we would never have complete knowledge of it. bert10

True LDS temples dot the globe and yet the people do not enter into the Lord's rest. Why is that? Why is it that I see this people becoming more and more entangled with Babylon? As an Example do not today, we see our young sporting tattoos, piercings and nose jewels? And what did the Lord said He would do to the daughters of Zion whom today have fulfilled what is written? Do not those who are wealthy dress in clothing far exceeding the regular price of clothes? Do they not drive Luxurious cars and live in mansions instead of giving the money to the poor? What you say is true...however, we are not to keep quiet or else people shall say to the Lord why is it we were never told about this? In the Early churches people were prophets, healers, seers etc. and these joyously shared what they knew for the edification of the whole congregation. Also I release stuff as info only. Which make it the responsibility of the hearer to act on it or not. But the wicked do not rejoice in hearing more on the Lord, because it prevents them from continuing in their lifestyles. You are your own judge. I do not know what you know. Only you and GOD can know what you spent your time on. I simply told the truth. And the truth is ....we are given what we ask, seek and knock for. Again in case you have failed to understand my posts....is that Knowledge does not equate to righteousness. So how can be I judging others on their righteousness when even fools can walk on the way of Holiness and not err therein. Righteousness is doing the Right by GOD's Right. And to do this a person need to do the will of GOD. And in order to do the will of GOD one must hear Him in our hearts. In fact...Isaiah said even a fool need not err in the way of holiness. The way of Holiness is not based on Knowledge but on the Spirit of GOD. What is righteousness if it is not ...doing right by the Lord's right. If we are not careful...Knowledge can be an impediment rather than an Asset. They who are righteous are they who learn to be led by the Spirit of God. It is written in Galatians...To be led by the Spirit is to not be under the law. So righteousness is doing right by the Lord's right. This is listening to the voice of GOD and we are commanded.... Hebrews 3:7 - Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Hebrews 3:8 - Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Hebrews 3:9 - When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. I may know more on some subject but am not more advance as in better than anyone. The Lord cautioned us in thinking like this. Like I said...the duality of Knowledge and Ignorance is not lost on the righteous. Which is the more we are given the more we become aware of how much we do not know. Suzie Individually curses can be overcome by faith. A perfect example is Ruth the Moabite whom by faith eventually married Boaz and became an ancestor of Jesus. One Lord, One faith, One Spirit One Baptism. You are right you should be worried concerning myself. Because I am not held back by the Lord in teachings what I know like the Leaders are. Because once the leaders give something by virtue of their office it becomes Scriptures and law for us. And the Lord only allows them to give slowly to the general Church. The Church can only go as fast as the majority is able to understand and accept. But GOD has never prevented anyone from going ahead of the pack always fulfilling the promises. So have I been blessed and I Continue to live the promises of Asking, Seeking and knocking. Does it mean because you have been blessed that I should follow your way?...or that because I also been blessed concerning many things...that you should follow my way? The answer to this is no. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. On a personal note.... It is good that people are Learning to be obedient. It is a life long endeavor and requires us to walk on the rocky path. Also, I would not judge you on your worthiness... Actually no one should. This was one the sins of Israel. And since you are in the LDS church guess what? It is proof that you are still with Israelites and it is normal that we should find some of the sins of Israel in our church. The actions can be judged if it regards us.... but not the person doing it. it is not up to me to do this nor anyone else other who God appoints to be your Spiritual leader. One thing I do know...is with "unconditional Love" one is led to judge less and less as He becomes more aware of how little he really knows. The duality of knowledge - Ignorance grows side by side. The more knowledge one is given the more He knows how Ignorant one is and that things which are not likely can be possible with GOD...only when pride comes one become puffed up. For the righteous the more of the Spirit of God that is in him the less he will judge and the more readily he will offer the hand of fellowship. But if the person whom we give our hand of fellowship does not seek the fellowship of godliness in GOD we are to leave that person behind...because he can harm us even if it is delaying our own progression with GOD. In my experience some will come back to the Church and some will grow more in the hate of the Church. It is also my experience that over time...the person who continues to rebel God will permit that person be given massive trials which will take even more of our time in dealing with. And if we tamper with it...we will be shown even when our prayers are answered by GOD...that some other trials will come to afflict that man/woman. Unless there is a change in the heart....there is nothing we can do except to be patient and wait for the change. Suzie...just remember what they say...is their Testimony. Their testimony is not yours. Everyone is to get their own testimony on what they say. Church leaders used to teach for everyone to get their own testimony. Even J. Smith one day..had to admit that he was deceived on a thing that he had said. Our Leaders have weaknesses and Satan can cause hurt in a time when our guard is down. It is up to us to get our own testimony...and it is written in Revelation ....to have a testimony of Jesus Christ is by the spirit of prophecy. We were never commanded by GOD to blindly follow prophets. That is the teachings of men and the un-inspired. We can know the truth by the Spirit of truth. Remember part of repentance is making things right by repairing our relationship whether it is with our neighbors or with GOD. I don't have the answers on how the Tattoos are going to be removed by those who have them. Society will be in dis-arry in those days. I do not know what will be working and not working. However, Once all the stuff is dedicated to the Lord.....nothing unholy (not whole) will be able to enter. Impurity applies to the flesh as well as to the Spiritual. I think the responsibility on how to remove them will be the responsibility of them who had them put on. Jesus said to make the inside of the cup to be as clean as the outside of the cup. The Jews concentrated mostly on the outside of the cup and Jesus came to restore balance. GOD is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and the Standards of purity the Lord required of His Holy Congregation in the OT before they could appear before His Presence will be the same today. Except the Lord will expect us to be holy Spiritually as well. Matthew 7:14 - Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Hi I did not mean it as a prophecy. All promises are based on the present. The power of GOD is active in the present. Faith should be in the present those who put time stamp on their faith cannot receive until the condition put on their faith comes to fruition. For example....Seeing promises afar off....These all died in faith not having received the promises....why? Because they have seen the promises afar off. Hebrews 11:13 - These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. It shall be done to men according to their faith. And if man put time stamps on their faith...then it shall become active only when the time is arrived. Any conditions put on our faith...it will put our faith dormant until the condition come about. To be anointed by the Lord is to have the Spirit of GOD....which is also Called Light. Acts 10:38 - How GOD anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for GOD was with him. This verse applies to everyone who overcome the world. The hidden manna is the way of perfection. One could call it the meat Gospel. Which is the gospel one receives after he learns to hear God in his heart. It is only hidden from those who do not hear God. The New Name ...you have example of people who have already received this in the flesh...Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel are good examples of this...However, no man receive their new name from God until God says to them to ask whatsoever they will and God will do it. This promise is only extended to them who hear God and shall ask in accordance to the will of God. And yet there is another NEW name who no man shall know except he that receives it. The Urim....all people who overcome the world receive the promises eventually. And the Urim is parts and parcel of the package. The Urim allows the person to access information much easier in order to do His mission. It allows that person to see all things that pertains to his charge. He is not allowed to "look" at certain things because of curiosity. But this is no problem for them who have overcome the world. He who overcome the world while still in the flesh shall receive these promises and more that are mentioned elsewhere in Scriptures. I do not know...show me where Jesus touched money in Scriptures? Here in this verse Jesus sends Peter to do it...and Peter pays the taxman for Jesus and himself. Matthew 17:27 - Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee John 12:6 - This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. John 13:29 - For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. If one wishes to understand Jesus better, then he had better learn to understand the Essenes and the Nazarenes. The rigourous life style and discipline worked very quickly against the lusts of the flesh and helped the Spiritual side to come forward much easier. Peter later followed in the same paths as Jesus. Has nothing to do with being better...but being different. Each one of us has different Strengths and weaknesses. We all have different weaknesses and we can all help each other, and I think we can use all the help we can get. God also uses people to help us focus on our problems and deal with them. But since Jesus when we become unclean if we touch something with our thoughts in our mind. But since the days of Jesus we can now also touch evil with our thoughts in our mind. And so we become unclean before the Lord, and we are to cleanse ourselves when we do this. In the NT for example Jesus never touched money and assigned Judas to carry the Money bag for the group. This system was also followed with the Essenes. So that the only the person who touched money needed to perform the Cleansing rituals after doing so.
