Why complicate the matter? in heaven as well as in Zion there is only the will of GOD. All those who chose to not do it...are choosing as the angels of old have done. It all depends what you want to do. If you are worried about being in Love do not worry about it. "Unconditional Love" is a giving Love. And falling in Love deals with "Conditional Love". Which is based on how we feel according to what the other person does for us or brings into the relationship. Sooner or later "Conditional Love" fails...today it seems to happen within the first 12 years of marriage. It's Wonderful to fall in love and marry. But remember our dismal record on marriage is far worse than some cultures who have arranged marriages often to complete strangers. If the marriage is to last, at some point the couple must leave Conditional Love and move into "Unconditional Love" which is love without fears attached to it. Since it is a giving Love..we do not have to worry about it being returned to us. We do not do it for any reasons other than the person is our Spouse and so deserves our love. This type of Love is an act of will and over time..we become in our heart as we think. For it is written as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. First I am glad you are trying to work things out. You are doing what you can and this matters a lot. God still loved Israel when He let them go into slavery. IF a person want to grow into the Life of GOD then that person must lose himself/herself in the service of others. The best cure is volunteering and working with the poor the sick and helpless which is losing oneself in the service of others. What that person will find within over time will be worth more than friends and time fillers that does not get one closer to GOD. We are all on different levels Spiritually. Jesus said if there be two intelligences together....one will be more intelligent than the other. It is the way of things. So do not worry about this. Such assertions if they were meant that he is superior to you, normally comes from fear. And God calls fears darkness. The Repentance process? One does not need to wait on a Bishop to do this. One should begin immediately upon knowledge of sin. Why? we cannot guarantee how long we will live. Death can come to any of us at any time. It is my experience that women are generally more spiritual and forgiving in nature than men. So they are always ahead of the game. IF your boyfriend thinks he is higher spiritually just because he has begun the process...he does err. The law of heaven on remission of sins is also dependent by how much we are forthright in forgiving others, and having a serving nature and being meek. Most women are already there now. Hi. The account is interesting. The changes must first come on your part. However, I hope to give you a picture of what is happening so that you can start to fight Spiritually the woes that are in your life. 1) First. You cannot force change on your wife. It is against God's law. But you can begin to understand her and see your way clear in dealing with her in a righteous manner. From your post, your wife appears to have a controlling personality. And anger and hurt comes when things do not proceed as planned. As it is impossible to control our environment and people to the extent one wish it will always lead to anger, hurt feelings etc. These type of problems results from frustrations caused by many things and fears. And these reside in "Conditional Love". 2) Now, you need to gently assert your authority and leadership over your family and it will take time. Remember it is you whom GOD will first require an account of your family. Yet, it is not wise to do this until you first learn to live "Unconditional Love". 3) "Unconditional Love" is what we give to our spouse regardless of what they do. This is a giving Love and does not care if it is returned or not. It is the same Love that enables Jesus to love even His enemies. With this love you will learn all things that is needful for you to overcome. And it will begin to free you. 4) When you understand a bit how to live in "Unconditional Love" Then you will not be so easily led by your wife, it will be much harder for you to lose control and you can break any cycles that leads to disputes, dissentions even dis-harmony and then you can begin to work on your wife fears. For as long as she has those fears she cannot change. It will take time as this Type of Love is gentle, and does not seek to force change on people. If you have some activities outside of the home..one must be careful to balance it. Each case is different. However, by asserting that you love her will help with her fears. It is very dysfunctional for any spouse to exert control over another using negative means. Asserting ones authority and leadership is a work if done righteously that should eventually lead to receiving Loyalty from our Spouse. Force is not the answer. Israel had already went down that path. And the Lord had also rehearsed to the people what would happen if Israel elected a King. The sin is that we do not profit from the errors of Israel. You will not understand the post if you do not understand what happened to Moses. When we are in the presence of the glory of GOD our body needs to change. For it is written that no man (natural) has seen the face of GOD and lived. And this is true. The natural man cannot see the face of GOD in his glory and live if he is not changed into the Spiritual man. Only a man who have received the promises can survive the burnings of the Lord. The Light which Israel was afraid of...was Called the Shekinah which took 3 days for it to leave Moses. When we are in the Light as Moses was..we do not need to eat or sleep or do not get tired. For our cells becomes filled and are sustained by Light. A person receiving those promises permanently does not grow old, nor is required to eat or sleep. Resurrection is about making all things new. The process is not started over again with this world. At the end of the Millennium there is a great war between the children of the Light and the children of darkness and it is in this final battle that this earth is destroyed and dies. (At the Second Coming this earth will be restored to the Glory it had in the days of the Garden of Eden.) But Jesus shall resurrect it..into the Celestial Glory. This earth belongs to Jesus and shall be the Mansion of Jesus. The same power that is used for resurrection is the same power that is used to heal and to restore. When Jesus came to Paul...Paul saw a great light just before He was blinded in the flesh. Your wife will teach you many things that will turn out for your good if you trust GOD. Adultery is pretty near to murder. The Ancients whenever a wife became unfaithful...Though they would forgive the wayward wife they still would cease to have any sexual intimacy with them. For Example when Reuban slept with Bilah Jacob had her put away....saying GOD is not a GOD of confusion. It is serious...because the Woman is the keeper of the Spiritual line as well as the physical line of the family.And also Adultery in the flesh is preceded by adultery in the heart. Her heart is hardened and there is nothing you can do until it changes. Separation is an option. I have written on Spiritual divorces and it is hard to get from GOD. However, when repentance is not forthcoming...GOD can put asunder a marriage. As for your brother...he is an enemy. For he behaved as an Enemy. Do not be deceived in this..the Lord defined what is a brother, sister, mother, father to each one of us. I am not advocating for you any course of action....it is important that you understand what is going on and why men and woman do what they do. Understanding will lead to forgiveness and mercy. And we are to also listen to GOD. "Forgiveness" and "Unconditional Love" are not options. We are to give it out. A modification to the marital covenant may be in order such as Separation for example. However, as for going to the temple and being sealed with your wife...wait until GOD says to go. Being sealed to your children is one thing. But being sealed to your wife is another. If you begin to Live "Unconditional Love" Which is a giving Love...With this love one does not yell at his wife...is patient etc. AND IT WILL BEGIN TO FREE YOU. This is the truth that will set you free. And you will be able to see more clearly and hear GOD more clearly. Trial by fire? Then the Resurrection for the earth. For the Lord's Spirit in its fullness is a consuming fire to them and those things that are not clothed with Light. Moses survived only because GOD raised him in glory. Yet the Scriptures said that it took Moses 3 days to stop glowing (emitting light from his body and had to wear a veil and stay in his tent until he stop glowing) I guess glowing in the dark is more real then people think. Deuteronomy 4:24 - For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. The earth as already received it's baptism of water. What is left is it's baptism of fire and it shall die and be resurrected and all things that GOD created shall need to undergo the change or else it will not abide in the new Glory which is the fullness of the Light of GOD. LDS are not the only ones doing this. However, when we do it...it means that we are aware that we come from a Heavenly family. That GOD is literally our Father of us all in heaven and this does not change just because we are born on the earth and GOD has removed our memory of it. Well first of all it is not your fault. Your wife inability to love you is not your fault but her's. "Unconditional Love" is a giving Love. And as a person thinketh so is he® in their heart. She could love you if she put her mind to it. True Love is first an act of will until the heart is converted ...then one has true love for the Spouse. And your wife is saying that she doesn't love you is her problem not yours. She is still looking for Conditional Love which GOD has called darkness. Every spouse is deserving of "Unconditional Love" simply because that person is our spouse no matter what they do. Now for you the Spiritual consequences will not be as severe as for her. And men are allowed to have more than one wife if God permit's it. Earthly Divorce even by government decree is not an automatic Spiritual divorce in heaven. It is Ironic that today many Christian men condemning LDS Polygamy...are living in a polygamous relationship and do not know it. How's is that possible? They may have received a divorce by law..and have re-married since. But they did not understand that we are divorced only when GOD says so. First of all, A Spiritual divorce in heaven is not based on what government decree's here on the earth. A legal divorce is not a spiritual divorce. God said let no man put asunder what God has joined. This includes decrees of government. These woman divorce their spouse because they have let "Unconditional Love" die in their heart are the foolish and do act like Israel who have put Idol before their Lord. It is of these women of whom is written if they re-marry they commit adultery. GOD is not a marriage broker. The Term UNTIL DEATH DO US PART....is a very real application of marriages but today seems to be lost to this generation whom no doubt GOD calls..wicked and adulterous. That still does not solve your problem. If you do not receive the Good News...which gladdens the heart. Grief and Sadness over time can bring on some really negative health problems such and as depression. Jesus is not just God...He is also our Helper (David) Counsellor (ISaiah) Comforter NT. Any Marriage where the two spouses live unconditional Love towards each other cannot fail...and Satan will try very hard to break up such marriages..but they cannot fail. This type of Love in a marriage is the greatest threat to Satan's kingdom. Understanding why marriages fail is the first step to healing even if we are divorced. Because "Unconditional Love" is also a very powerful way to live...since it is a giving love and the more we give the more the stream of living waters within us grows to accommodate our giving. It does not matter if at first a man has only a trickle..with practice over time...that little trickle can grow into a mighty river and such is pleasing unto GOD. Why? Here on the Earth we use oil to to Anointings. More Specifically Olive oil. If read Revelation the only two things that GOD commands the Angels to not hurt are the Olives and the vine. These two elements are used for Sacred purposes. Now, there is the earthly ordinances and there are ordinances done in heaven. The goal is for us to learn to walk in the light as Christ is in the Light. Which mean eventually we are also given Light. Also notice when the blood cleanses us from sins. 1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Becoming partakers of the divine nature is required. WE are to receive unto us...Exceeding great and precious promises. 2 Peter 1:4 - Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. There are Earthly ordinances and there are heavenly ordinances. Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Acts 9:17 - And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, [even] Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:4 - And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance John 12:36 - While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. To become children of the Light we must ourselves become filled with Light. Ephesians 5:8 - For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light: There is much more in the Scriptures and in the BOM. I use mostly Biblical references so that the Christians who read the post will not be able to say...that they were not made aware of these things. They who reject the BOM it shall be to their hurt. To become Children of the Light is to put on the whole Armor of Light and this is also to be made partakers of the divine nature. I do know....and I have given the key when I said all things are of and from the Light. Sometimes the word Spirit means "Light" which contains all things...however in the OT when specifics are mentioned in the OT such as for example...Spirit of understanding, Spirit of knowledge and Spirit of wisdom. When specifics are used by GOD it means that men like Solomon for example...did receive the Spirit of wisdom, which is not all things that are contained in the light but only a partiality of it. Moses for example was made as God over water. Water would obey the voice of Moses...yet the Light Moses used came from GOD and Moses did receive many gifts that were contained in the Light...but not all. Spirit also means at time...the Spirit as in "Ghost." So the word "Spirit" can mean the "Being of GOD", or "Power of GOD" and it can be used to specifics such as "Spirit of understanding" which means the other gifts that are of the Light are not made manifest into that person...When a word can hold more than one significance.... It can caused a lot of confusion. And this is not all.....The Spirit which can also be called Light...is in all things above all things, etc. But also all things are made out of light. There is not any matter whether physical or Spiritual that is not made from the Light. All matter whether Spiritual or not obey GOD because GOD is the source of the Light. Therefore even rocks are made from light and the Spirit of God (light) is in all things above all things...see doctrines and covenants....The Spirit of Life is in all things and all things are living things. All things even rocks have intelligences according to their nature...and their intelligence is given to them by the Light of GOD which is in all things. Joshua did say one day the the stone had heard their words and it would stand as a testimony before GOD. Moses called the heaven and the Earth as witnesses that He gave Israel the Law of GOD. Two things were required to happen before the world were framed. First faith and then GOD SPOKE. Faith and works go hand in hand. So yes faith is a tool to be used for good or evil. A good movie to watch on this is "faith like potatoes" or "facing the giants" There isn't a billionaire alive that has not dealt with faith. Instead of becoming a Spiritual leader they used all they have in acquiring filthy lucre. Donald Trump one time explained what he had to go through to get where he was. And in the describing the qualities needed to become a billionaire were the very same qualities that everyone who become successful by worldly standard used. Perseverance in the face of adversity and failure. The ability to pick onself up from catastrophe and to rebuild etc. This is what the prophets did. Also To never give up...to be driven even to the working 16 hours days on end perhaps for years. My friend who was an immigrant from Italy did this. He became a millionaire in about 20 years owning 2 Restaurants, pizza shop and flower shop. The price was high though. It cost him his first family. You ask a good question...perhaps the answer lies in ONENESS And Individualism...for both exist in the GODHEAD. On DSN 9 Constable ODO a shape-shifter whose natural state is a liquid...comes to the realization that He can exist as a drop from the Sea when he is away from the Sea or as a whole when he is in the Sea (Liquids of shapeshifter) Now in order for anything to exist there must be its opposite and then we can have a reference point with to measure, to weight and to evaluate. Also the laws by which Creation and heaven and eternity are predicated upon...are unchangeable. In this sense GOD is unchangeable. Well, it is written that those who are found worthy...shall be Heirs with Christ and shall be GLORIFIED TOGETHER. After those who are worthy are presented to the Father by Jesus, then these like like Jesus afterward can have direct access to the Father they being also Gods. Jesus is not just our Brother but he also holds the Birthright over us....which is authority over us....However, the Father said that it would be His enemies that shall be for His footstool...not His friends. In Debt to...implies a servant relationship. This changes for the Elect as they become HEIRS With Christ and are Also Glorified with Christ. And we shall always be grateful to the Lord and to the Father for their gift of Salvation. And they who receive the terrestrial kingdom shall be ministered by Christ and those whom He shall send on missions into that Kingdom. These shall always remain debtors unto Christ. As I was explaining to Pam in another post...each tribes had their own weaknesses and strengths. Though blood may play a part where one is adopted into when it matches the Spiritual strengths and weaknesses of the individual....It is mostly the Spiritual composition of the individual that decides into which tribe they go into. The New and Everlasting Covenant is predicated on BETTER PROMISES than the old one. The Old one is not done away...but today...the higher standards apply and since the days of Jesus it is the Spiritual aspect of it that counts. Not the letter but the Spirit of the law. bert10
