Connie Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 True Oregonians love rain. I do.I LOVE rain (wonder if this has anything to do with my mother being born in Oregon), wish we got more of it in Utah. Oh well, maybe when California drops in the ocean. Quote

Iggy Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 <<snip>> what it is, not what I think it ought to be.Aha- that is the key - what we think a place should be. I have always had the assumption that Utah should be the crowning glory of the LDS Church. That EVERYONE living there should be perfect, active, LDS members. Well, guess what- they aren't. No city, town, state, country, etc. is going to be like that. Not even every Ward or Branch is going to be like that. I would love to visit Utah- SLC mostly. To vacation there. So, one has to get past what one thinks a place should be so that they can actually see what it is really like. Quote
Moksha Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 "Who am I, sir? A Utah man am I A Utah man, sir, and will be till I die; Ki!Yi! We're up to snuff; we never bluff, We're game for any fuss, No other gang of college men dare meet us in the muss. So fill your lungs and sing it out and shout it to the sky, We'll fight for dear old Crimson, for a Utah man am I." Quote
