mnn727 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Wouldn't brushing your teeth be laboring on the Sabbath?Only if you are a dentist or work for one. Edited July 7, 2010 by mnn727 Quote

talisyn Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Beside brushing teeth, how many of chew gum on fast sunday? Gum isn't real food. Does fasting include really bad take-out? What about leftover pizza that has a cardboardy crust? Quote

SeekYourWish Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 You may find yourself only half baked if you start baking at 11:55 p.m. But then again, many people I have met on this site are only half baked. lolSo, we can get baked now and its not against the word of wisdom? When did they change it?! Quote
mordorbund Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 So, we can get baked now and its not against the word of wisdom? When did they change it?!I was teaching the Word of Wisdom in Family Home Evening and wanted to emphasize that while section 89 was not by commandment or constraint, portions of the WoW have become commandments through even more modern prophets - and that counsel had extended past what was in the original revelation. We talked about the hot drinks and tobacco verses. I then asked my 9-year-old brother to find where it talked about drugs. I waited while he looked at each verse. Finally, he lifted his head and said,And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man— Every herb in the season thereof Quote
