SMG Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Congrats! We could use more enthusiastic educators! Many good wishes and prayers for your success in school! =) Quote
lizzy12 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Report Posted July 15, 2010 Prayer to study the right things. Prayer to be calm. Prayer to remember and fasting. I know it helped. Quote
Snow Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 So if I hadn't prayed for you, maybe me and a few others, you think you might have studied the wrong things, but because we did, God made you change your mind about what to study? Why do you think God would cause you to change your mind because I prayed to him? Quote
Guest Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 CONGRATS LIZZY!!! I just finished my finals for summer term today! It helped to know there were quite a bunch of people who cared enough for my success to offer a prayer. It made me stick with it and try much harder especially after 3 hours into the finals and I was so fried that I thought several times to submit the exam unfinished! The exam was 4 hours long most of which was grueling math (Engineering Economics Analysis). Snow - don't forget to say your Congrats. Quote

I know my personal prayer and fasting helped me it was evident. Whether God changed his mind based on the personal prayers of those on this fourm is up to him. But, i do know that God answers prayers, and my prayers and others were answered based on my test results and the feelings I had during the test. Quote
Gwen Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 snow, this thread is not here to debate the effects of prayer on such matters. this thread is not a debate at all in any form. it is someone that is thanking ppl for being supportive and a place for ppl that were involved in that to say "good job". such threads are entirely appropriate. if you have nothing positive to add to this thread then don't read it. it is completely inappropriate to try to bring someone down when they have worked so hard just because you have issues with specific doctrines. this debate has been had many times on this site. your position has been stated. move on. any further off topic posts will be deleted (this is for anyone that feels a need to continue this debate when it's been clearly stated it's not the place to do so). If not, then we bother in doing it in the temple (Prayer Circle)? Lizzy, don't let anyone tell you different. Quote
pam Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 I've used prayer many times before tests and interviews. If nothing else but for the calming effect so that I might more clearly remember what I have studied and better answer questions. Good for you Lizzy. Quote
