bcguy Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 I think this is the first time that CNN has shown the faith in the center with a large image. I think this is going to get alot of attention globally. CNN.com - Breaking News, U.S., World, Weather, Entertainment & Video News Quote

lafrenieredianne1 Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 I think this is the first time that CNN has shown the faith in the center with a large image. I think this is going to get alot of attention globally. CNN.com - Breaking News, U.S., World, Weather, Entertainment & Video NewsI can feel a change coming of late....it's happening slowly but the tide is turning and brings me joy. The Prophet is the Lord's mouthpiece and has been giving sound advice to all the Saints around the world. Love your enemies, even those that hate us and persecute us......in otherwords, turn the other cheek and don't seek retaliation, turn to these people with truthfulness and love....express who we are in a peaceful way as the truth will always prevail. Satan will eventually lose this battle.I was fearful how the broadway musical on "Mormonism" would affect the Saints but it now looks like the membership will increase as the result of all the publicity and how it was handled by the Presidency of the LDS Church. Guest tbaird22 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 I, too, feel a change coming. Maybe a presidential candidate is just what we needed for people to look at our faith for themselves and get rid of all those bad stereotypes. Quote
Tyler90AZ Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 I think political diversity among membership has really helped get us coverage on all news networks. Quote
bytebear Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 I am just happy that they (mostly) get the official church name right. Rarely do I see the Church of the Latter Day Saints, and that's a huge improvement. Quote
Carl62 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 I see now where Brandon Flowers of The Killers is on the "I'm a Mormon" campaign. Interesting. Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 That was a good article. I read it yesterday. Very fair and balanced with no judgement in it at all. Then I read through the comments.:( It always amazes me how people try and tell us what we believe. And if we argue with them, they call us brainwashed. Very sad. Quote
Backroads Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 It always amazes me how people try and tell us what we believe. And if we argue with them, they call us brainwashed. Very sad.Of course they do.EVERYONE knows that anyone who does not believe exactly as so-n-so believes is brainwashed. Quote
Blackmarch Posted November 4, 2011 Report Posted November 4, 2011 Of course they do.EVERYONE knows that anyone who does not believe exactly as so-n-so believes is brainwashed.hmm i think i'll name my fourth pet So-n-so Quote
PrinceofLight2000 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Can someone link to the article in question? The link in the OP directs to CNN's home page. EDIT: nevermind, found it in one of the posts. Quote
drr456 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 They just don't get it! Hopefully someday they will! I love our church! I've NEVER felt so complete and that's the truth! Quote
