Blackmarch Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Okay, Christmas is approaching...I need to know what you guys think the funnest Wii games are (for adults).hmmm..... I think my favorite wii games were he Mario Smash Bros series (basically a nintendo celebrity deathmatch, king of the hill style), and the metroid series and the zelda stuff.but out of those the only real party able one is probably smash bros. Quote
jerome1232 Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Are you looking for more single player or party play? (just dance is only fun when you have a group and can laugh at each other dancing) Quote
ldsz Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Definitely Legend of Zelda (Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword). My 50 year old mom even likes to play those. Quote
ldsz Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Also, there is Donkey Kong Country which is just like Super Mario too, also very fun! Quote
sister_in_faith Posted December 11, 2011 Author Report Posted December 11, 2011 It's just me and my boyfriend (and our dog)... no other players... I got mario carts, zelda princess, nascar, and some wwII flying ace game... I'm thinking about getting one of the big game hunter games with the gun, and another mario brothers game. I want to get him a hockey game too, and I would also like to do something like need for speed (played that on the computer, where you can be the cop or the bad guy, and you try to chase each other off the road) I got two of the little car wheel things. mirkwood Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 My wife and I like Tetris Party. Quote
sister_in_faith Posted December 16, 2011 Author Report Posted December 16, 2011 Come on people... work with me here. Don't let this thread die. 10 days til Christmas!!! Quote
sister_in_faith Posted December 16, 2011 Author Report Posted December 16, 2011 Oh, so I also got Cabela's Big Game Hunter, and Cabela's Survival on Katmai (or whatever it's called), oregon trail, mario brothers, zumba (sp?), and need for speed... Actually that may be enough for now. I think it will take us a while to get thru all those anyway. Quote
annewandering Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 some games you never get through or at least not for a long long time!! FFXI took me 7 years although I am going through some withdrawal. arg lol. Quote

sister_in_faith Posted December 16, 2011 Author Report Posted December 16, 2011 I'm actually REALLY stressing about it... I got him a Wii and all this Wii stuff, and I just hope he doesn't open it Christmas morning and go, oh, I wanted an X box. Haaaa! Have to go to best buy and return everything!!! Quote

annewandering Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 xboxes break so regularly that if you mind dealing with the constant returns to get them fixed then you might not want to get one. Quote
jerome1232 Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I love mario galaxy myself, actually most mario titles are next to amazing. Metroid is also a great game. If it doesn't come with Wii Resort, I'd recomend it. That's where the majority of my families time get's spent on. If it suits fancy grab a classic controller and invest in some snes games from Nintendo's online store. I personally love the nostalgia of those old games. Quote

miztrniceguy Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 well, my kids don't know that Santa is bringing a tv and Wii for Christmas. Their Grandmas sent 3 kids games, it came with Mario Kart, and today we ordered Just Dance 3 and sports resorts. Anybody got opinion on the Wii motion plus? Worth the money? Quote
sister_in_faith Posted December 17, 2011 Author Report Posted December 17, 2011 nice guy, sounds like you and me are going to be having a very similar christmas!!! have fun! I'll be thinkin about you!!!! Quote
jerome1232 Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Anybody got opinion on the Wii motion plus? Worth the money? It comes built into most remotes now, as to your question, it's useless if you don't have the games that supports it, required if you have games that do (since they won't let you play without it) Quote
Spartan117 Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 I bought a Wii just to download old Nintendo and Super Nintendo games. Surf the Wii market once you get it set up. Super Mario 3 is worth the price of the Wii alone. Quote
Blackmarch Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Really wish someone would port MYST over... And Riven, and Exile. Those were awesome games as well as very family friendly without being childish. Quote
