My head starts spinning when I see one swallow or one little taste of something left in the fridge. Just finish it off so I can get some more! If I see the container, I think there's enough in there and don't add it to the shopping list.

Dishes in the sink instead of the dishwasher have been known to set me off as well. Why is it so hard to put the stupid dishes in the dishwasher?

I'm a "grammar and spelling Nazi". I can't stand "l33t" speak, or "IM" speak or anything that takes away from the proper use of the English language.

Oh, and that includes text messages or posts from a cell phone. Just because you're on a phone doesn't mean you shouldn't have to type out all your words. (Yes, it's truly my pet peeve.)

Of course, everyone knows the way you comfort a grammar & spelling Nazi? "They're, their, there." :)

I always have to think about affect and effect. And, I think my spelling has gotten worse because of my spell checker. The constant use of the GPS makes it harder to learn my way to new places. I noticed the effect while living in Painesville, Ohio.

I don't know what the law is in other states but in Utah, if a police officer has a car pulled over on the freeway, you must move over into the next lane.

My pet peeve are those drivers that ignore this law and put not only the officer but the people in the pulled over car in danger.

My pet peeve would be apologizing even when I am not at fault. I don't know why I do this but, it becomes impulsive. Maybe, someone might know a solution to stop me from saying sorry, I apologized to the police officer when I was reporting that I was being attacked by someone. I have this sense that I am a burden when I talk with people in general.

Also:

I'm sure I have other things that qualify as pet peeves, but the only one that is coming to mind right now is when kids (or anyone really) lie to you about something you witnessed them doing, as if they think you don't already know the truth. It's like an insult on your intelligence or perceptive skills. It happens to me a lot at work, since I work at a middle school and have lunch duty, and it really bothers me.

Examples:

I witness a child pouring his milk over the food of his neighbors tray. I get his attention, and before I even say anything the first words out of his mouth are "I didn't do it".

I tell a child to pull up his pants, and he says "But I'm not sagging." ... when I can see his boxers as plain as day.

There are many others, but yeah... It really gets under my skin when kids try to lie their way out of something I know they did.

You are so incredible, to take on a task such as you do. I see how much kids need their parents to teach them and guide them. I live in the East bay of California, and I am blessed that I am able to participate in my kids school activities, a lot of the students ask my kids if I am the mom or sister. LOL! I love being around children some are so willing to be taught, others have been taught to be rude. I respect that you’re doing what some parents should be doing, and that’s to counsel these kids. I know parents who would be mad if their child is being told right from wrong, it’s unfortunate we are living in a time where knowledge has no wisdom, wisdom has no values, and values have no morals. God bless you!

Yes, my wife often does that just before she beats me without mercy. But I try to be patient. It's a hard thing, especially for a limbless man, but calling the cops on my beloved is simply out of the question. As long as I still have sight in the one eye, I can type with my tongue and make due, so why should I begrudge her telling her little fables on the interwebs?

My pet peeve is people who make up silly, self-referential posts in a desperate attempt to be funny.

Okay, okay! I'm not really a kick-butt middle earth princess who killed the witch king. If I was I would have made Aragorn leave Arwen for me, anyway.

Again? Argh.

I understand the satire, but I don't find anything humorous at all in joking about domestic violence.

Stuff like this adds to my "pet peeves" list:

19 Things That Will Drive Your OCD Self Insane

Almost all those things would drive me nuts, including the title since 19 is an odd number. LOL

Pet Peeves: People, aka family, who don't put things back where they got them from.

People aka family who wash their dirty hands but really don't get them clean and just wipe the dirt off on the fresh clean hand towel in the guest bathroom.

Places in the grass missed by the lawnmower.

My car parked crooked in the driveway.

The toilet paper or paper towel roll put on backwards.

And finally this: You have included 10 images in your message. You are limited to using 8 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Those things bug me too.
