Echo2002 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 What's creepy is being 34 and having only 50 and 60 year olds looking at your ldssingles profile. In our midsingles group I think there are some people in their mid to late 20's because they don't like being around a bunch of 18 year olds. I wouldn't sell yourself short and only date 25 year olds. Quote
Drpepper Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Maybe your in the new ward for a reason, have some faith brother and see why you are really there. Quote
Bini Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Oh boy. I'll be 30 in a couple years. Quote
mdfxdb Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Maybe your in the new ward for a reason, have some faith brother and see why you are really there. ?? the reason is you turned 31...no faith required. couldn't be helped unless you have a fancy way-back machine with a flux capacitor in it... NeuroTypical Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Hey you mormon people who found another mormon to marry! Just out of curiosity, how many of you met your spouse at an LDS singles get-together of some kind? Or at least the church singles program was involved somewhere along the line? I know niether was true for me. Quote

When I used the websites, I wound up dating boys who were in the same ward. Awkard. Quote

slamjet Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 My wife caught my eye when I went with the elders quorum to help move her ex-husband & his parents out of state. I saw her and said to myself "Yea, I can handle that!" not having a clue it was her ex I was helping. How utterly wrong I was with that statement. Quote
Guest Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 We were in single's wards when we met, and we met at a party thrown by someone in his single's ward, so kind of. Quote
ClickyClack Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Does BYU count as a singles program? Are you kidding? It's THE singles program! But my favorite description of single's wards came from the bishop of one... "It's a bunch of sixes that are looking for tens." Quote

Guest Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 I met one guy over LDSSingles.com. The story behind that is called How Eowyn Was Stupid and Could Have Gotten Herself Killed. Quote
annewandering Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 By the way, just so we are clear on this. 31 is not middle aged for women either. 31 is adult. Or so we hope. Quote
slamjet Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 I knew I was old when some kids offered me their seats on the subway. I graciously accepted and when I got home, I immediately got depressed and OD'd on chocolate ice cream. Quote
