. . . for 75 days.

I've heard stories of those eating poppy seeds. When I worked for the Navy, one of the sailors that worked for me came up positive on a urinalysis. His wife made him poppy seed muffins (his favorite) every day and he had them for breakfast.

He had to hire an outside attorney to clear himself from the charges. If not he faced discharge after 15 years of service.

I've always thought that these kinds of stories were myths--that it would take too many poppy seeds to set off these tests. PC errs: snopes.com: Poppy Seeds Alter Drug Test Results

Many of the newer tests have threshold levels to rule out opioid levels in small quantities... But in my o-chem class the professor had us all test, then eat, then test (as a "get students involved!" Kind of activity). Everyone tested negative to begin with, ALMOST everyone tested positive afterward. Which also emphasized the different metabolism can make.

Well that's a problem in and of itself -- that's way too high a ratio!

Depends on the definitions; remember that most times, food is defined by precook weight, and a pound of dry pasta makes a lot more when it's cooked.

And then there's the months-old baby who died after overdosing on prescription meds in the breast milk. Baby has been in the hospital before for the same problem... survived. Then got in a car accident when the mom drove under the influence... survived. Both times CPS didn't do anything besides file the papers... Mom finally managed to kill her child while CPS paperwork was sitting in somebody's desk awaiting signatures.
