Right!  People don't change just because they are dead.

The scenery may change but people are still people.

most of the events that humble people that a person can be in, are limited to this world only.

I believe that there will be a great many more individuals that will accept the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the spirit world and will desperately await their baptism into Jesus' Church.  Some may even have visited this forum - perhaps even read this post -- but will not seek baptism until they are in the spirit world and have spoken to some of the the original apostles and many other of the saints of that era.

If they hear and reject the modern prophets, they won't listen to Moses either.

Luke 16 [31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

There is a strong difference between the scenario of spirit prison vs. New Testament Israel.  The Jews all believed in the prophets.  For several generations a messianic expectation was evident.  Jesus came and fulfilled prophecies that Jewish people all agreed on.

Modern LDS prophets have generally not been heard, at any depth, by those outside the LDS world.  The vast majority of people--even U.S. Christians--have not heard a clear presentation of the LDS gospel.  So, even though many in spirit prison might think, "Oh, there's those Mormon preachers..." they are not likely to have actually heard what they had to say in mortality.

Now me ... what to say of those who've heard, but never sensed a confirmation of the Spirit?

From a broadly Christian point of view, those least likely to convert (in mortality) are those who camped at church, but never actually embraced the gospel.
