MormonMike
I had a problem with pornography which I confessed and talked about with my bishop but now I've fallen back into that again. He said that If I did do it again that I should just start over and not give up but, does that mean that I confess to him again. Thank you, any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. estradling75
Around these parts questions asking should I talk to my bishop about this sinful action are answered with.. "That would be a good question to ask your Bishop" This is because of a simple fact... no one on this forum is your Bishop.. no one on this forum is holding the keys to help you with your repentance. Our opinions do not matter... whereas your bishop's opinions and answers can bring you peace of mind (or not depending on what the answer is) LeSellers, Backroads, zil and 4 others

The fact that you are here wanting to get better speaks very, very highly of you. Proud to call you a brother, for sure.

If the confessing one is sincere and follows the bishop's counsel, it will bring peace of mind. That's the nature of repentance. I was thinking more along the lines of him not liking the answer the bishop might give

Indeed, it seems likely: repentance is harder than anything else except not repenting. Lehi SilentOne and Backroads

Lehi Sometimes I think forgiveness might be harder... when what is needing to be forgiven is quiet grave... and great harm has been done LeSellers

Go and see your bishop. The Atonement has you covered, but you have to go through the necessary steps.

Guest
Pray about it to Heavenly Father and see if Heavenly Father wants you to confess to your Bishop again or if your confession to Heavenly Father is good enough.
jewels8
Its been said, that if someone repeats the same sin, that the former sins return. I am not your bishop, but maybe just be on the safe side, where you don't have to wonder, pray about it, and it wouldn't hurt to see him, but it may hurt if you don't. He can always guide you. eddified and seashmore
