So I'm Going To Serve A Mission

Yesterday I finally got the answer I've been looking for for an awfully long time. I hadn't received an answer as I've been praying about it over the past couple of months and I had doubts as to whether I would actually be able to serve a mission. So yesterday I decided to pull one of the tactics used by some prophets in the Book of Mormon and I prayed until I received my answer, which I did.

It was undeniable and the confirmation I needed to move forward with it. I know it isn't going to be easy but now I know for sure that it is what I need to do.

:D

I knew a guy, real social, but I dont think he really had a testimony. Said he wouldn't go on a mission. I remember because several of us were praying for him to be inspired to go. and then two days after he said he definitely wasnt he received a strong answer that he should. it took him nearly 8 months to get the papers in and get his call. But once he knew the Lord wanted him to go, he went. It was amazing to watch. Now from what i hear, he is on fire.

Don't be discouraged regardless what happens. Just remember the revelation. It will sustain you and you will see miracles happen.

I'm very happy for you! B) Don't forget that answer. You-know-who also knows that you got such an answer, and has some nasty tactics to discourage you.

I grew up never wanting to go on a mission. No way. Wasn't gonna do it. Couldn't see myself spending 2 long years knocking on doors. But I did. Went out almost a year late, but I did it. And am very glad I did.

Well certainly.

Finished my papers about a week and a half ago, sent them to the bishop, he finished them and I have my interview tomorrow. Then it'll go to the stake president and I hope that he can have them done by the end of the month. Preferably by Christmas if possible.

Great!

I got my mission call today! I'm so excited right now. Nice to come home for lunch and have my call waiting. So I opened it up and read that I will be going to.....

The Florida, Ft. Lauderdale mission. I leave for the MTC in just under 4 months. Something that I am looking forward to will be the weather. Here I am in good old Canada with a bunch of snow sitting outside my window. And I'll be going to sunny and warm Florida.

I'm very excited.
