That depends. If you are a man then yes it is a commandment not to marry any man. But if you are a woman I know no commandment

Replace soda and juice with water. That alone will shift your calorie intake. talk with the Lord. You can't build a strong marriage without Him. Court her again. The purpose isn't to get sex but to remind her why she married you. keep the commandments and get things right in your life. You'll have more energy. do some core building exercise and you'll see results quickly

My elders quorum is very small. I would like to lift my brethren in the quorum more. I don't currently have a calling. Any advice on needs or any service I should look for?

Live the standards of the gospel the best you can. Repent of any sins you have. some hearts take much fasting and prayer to change. I would say fast and pray about what you will do next. Let the spirit guide. Talk with the Lord about the feelings of your heart. then I recommend following the advice of some of the others about asking him about his concerns. You can't do anything about his concerns until you know them. act in faith. Remember that the believing spouse can sanctify the unbelieving. be kind to him. Be respectful. Remember d&c 121

Sounds like her testimony wasn't really there to begin with. But have faith. Ask her to study the scriptures with you. Keep praying for her. The Lord loves her and you and will watch for her.

I'm not sure why but I feel impressed to tell you to read the Book of Mormon. If your husband will read it with you even better. I'm not sure why I am telling you that other that the Spirit is whispering it to me. But I know there is power in the Book of Mormon to remove the scales of darkness from our eyes and bring us to Christ.

Sounds like she is struggling with her testimony of the Book of Mormon. Study that with the children as well and testify. God loves both of you. You can't threaten her though. Show her more love. People have mentioned D&C 121. It truly is a roadmap. Show her you love her by bring kind and doing acts of service. Show your children that you love them. Especially when you want to be angry. my wife isn't a member. I understand how the conflicts can be. But the Lord will bless you if you follow Him and show love and kindness.

Us men are commanded to love our wives like Christ lived the church. Christ loved us so much that He gave His life for us. He didn't love us because we loved Him. He loves us even when we don't love Him. the Lord gave us our wives to love, cherish, and honor. If there isn't love in the relationship it's our responsibility to seek the Lord and figure out how to restore it.

less slavery? I hate to burst your bubble. I really do but there is just as much slavery. It's just underground and in other countries. The sex slave trade for one is particularly nasty and unfortunately very strong. people home and abroad are being oppressed too. Governments not listening to the people. Isis is one of the most oppressive governing body in a while but there have always been tyrants and dictators. not to mention slavery and oppression from sin. The only thing that will save this world is Christ's return

To be honest, it really doesn't matter to me whether the Lord is counseling or commanding. I think it's probably a good idea to follow it regardless.

Conference weekend is this weekend (yay!). A thought came to me that I should study the talks and then write down every command or piece of counsel our leaders give and use them as action items for the next six month period. After that I figured, why stop at me? There might be others who see things I don't, and vice versa, there may be others who dont get to see conference for a while. Maybe I should get some people all working on it. That way we can help each other and strive together to do what the Lord wants us to do. So I am going to do what I can to take action items from the talks. Anyone is welcome to join me, or if you want to also record the blessings we can recieve because of the counsel. I am really excited about conference. Even if you don't like my idea, watch!

I've been thinking about President Packers talk from last conference about the Power of the Priesthood. How we have been good at spreading around the authority of the Priesthood but not as effective with the power of the Priesthood. I find that there are still many who don't realize that the authority of the Priesthood and the power of the Priesthood are completely different. It should be the goal of every Priesthood holder to be worthy of the Power of the Priesthood. The Authority doesn't mean much without it. D&C 121 is a key. We need to learn those instructions if we want to recieve power with our Priesthood. What else can we do to recieve it? Because this world needs the Power of God more than ever before.

The Bishop has certain keys that he has an obligation to exercise in order to bless the people under his stewardship, IE people in his wards boundaries. These keys provide the Bishop with the right and duty to direct people in service of others. This can come through commandment or exhortation and invitation. That depends fully on the Spirit. The Stake President, Elders Quorum Presidents, Teachers Quorum Presidents, and Deacons quorum President, likewise have keys as local leaders to direct and command those in their stewardships.

Talk with the missionaries or with your Bishop about it. And pray for the Lord to enlighten your understanding by the power of the Spirit.

Let's see. Ive been in prison twice this month already. I'm going again tomorrow. Course, I'm only there for a few hours every week. I get to walk out by lunch. haha

It is interesting to see what topics get the most attention. Not surprising though. However, if we think there are better topics to be discussing, it might be wise to just ignore the other discussions we don't find relevant and talk about those.
