Hi! My nickname here is Rico, I have learned the hard way not to give out too much information about myself on a public forum.

I am an American living outside of the US. I am studying with the missionaries and I have never found or felt so much truth before. I just want to share and have fellowship with likeminded people. I am on a tough walk to our Heavenly Father, but I trust him and I trust the Truth that I have been reading. I have known it was the Truth deep down my entire life and going to church feels like going home.

Nice to see you here. This is a very good place to talk about the gospel...You find different forums to be a part of or just to read and learn... See you around!

Thanks for everyone for making me feel welcome. Today, the missionaries invited me to see another new member be baptized. This should be interesting. With God's grace, my wife and I will be baptized on March 15th.

That is such and awesome intro. Your testimony is already strong. Reminds me of Alma chapter 32 in the Book of Mormon (if you're bored and feel like reading).

Welcome to this forum. I, too, was very happy to find it and associate with like-minded people! ^_^

Congratulations Rico. I'm happy for you and your family. You've made a great choice, and I wish you all the best in your new walk with Christ. You probably already were walking with Christ -- because you were open to accepting the Gospel, and now you've just made it official. Take care!!!

I thought I would update everyone. This weekend is stake conference for our stake. I felt very honored to give the invocation prayer for the new member meeting. My wife has been practicing with the stake choir for a month. She had a nice time singing in the choir for several songs.

During the main session this morning, I heard something about priesthood and my name was called. I was a little surprised, so after a bit of hesitation I stood up. I thought it was because I was a new member of the Aaronic Priesthood. After all the names were called, the Stake President asked that we be sustained as members of the Melchizedek Priesthood. I immediately felt honored and a little concerned over whether I am worthy or not. I was very surprised that it came so fast and had no idea it was coming at all.

Heavenly Father has truly worked wonderful things in my family's life. I have seen many small miracles in our lives over the last few months. Before I learned about the Restored Gospel, I had a different idea of faith: I believed that you just had to blindly accept things. Now, I know the truth, rather than just believe it. I have seen the evidence of the Truth in my own heart.

I think it's time for a bit of an update on our progression. In the first week of July, I was called to be the executive ward secretary so I have been learning a lot and doing a lot more reading over the last month. Also, a couple of weeks ago, my wife was called to serve in the Young Women.

And last week, I got to personally ask Elder David A Bednar a question. His answer was so perfect. It was truly awesome being in the presence of an apostle of the Lord.

Of course all of that is a distant second to how my testimony has grown. I see each and every day how imperfect saints are perfecting themselves on a journey to the Celestial Kingdom. I discover more and more truth as I learn more and more of the Gospel. I am truly looking forward to when my wife and I can be sealed in the temple. The Restored Gospel has positively impacted the lives of me, my wife and our children.

In the Philippines. He did a Q&A. Of course everyone was too shy to be the first to ask him a question. But encouraged by my wife whispering, don't you dare ask a question, I rose my hand, stood up and asked a question about any advice he could give about reaching out to family members who are Catholic since his father was Catholic.

The Q&A lasted two hours and my wife and I left with no question unanswered. We both knew that we had been in the presence of a true prophet, seer and revelator of God.

Of all things that he talked about, the one that most impressed me was about being an answer to our prayers. You need to be willing to be the answer to your prayers. There was just so much wisdom there. I am so lucky to have been shown the Restored Gospel by the missionaries.
