Just curious why our Fourth Estate watchdog media are not decrying

We are now the media.

Think about it.  "A republic, if you can keep it."

The people are ultimately the government's keepers.  We have to do the work to keep them in check.  And with platforms like Twitter, we now have the technology to do so.

the most corrupt administration in fifty years? That's just a real head-scratcher.

It is because they were (and still are) invested and very much a party to the corruption.

Many like to think that with Trump's reelection that all of a sudden, the corrupted swamp of waist and abuses will be banished from Washington DC and all other places of our federal government.  I am of a different mind.  I do not believe for a minute that when corruption is exposed; that it will just quietly disappear into the night.  It would not surprise me that the works of corruption will be doubled (perhaps even to taking lives) to avoid losing power and influence.  I am quite sure that the watchdog media you have referenced will roll over and do whatever tricks that they have been taught right on cue from their masters.

Head scratcher indeed.  I mean, surely if we revised this old chart, there would no longer be a problem, right?

I just heard a rumor that the Hallmark Channel just beat out CNN in the recent ratings sweep.  I don't know how to check that.

Sara Carter agrees. Whoever Sara Carter is.

EDIT: Apparently based on The Gateway Pundit, which was based on a Forbes article.

I am guessing that murr-diddley-urderizing the legacy/dinosaur media will be one of Trump's greatest legacies.   Rush Limbaugh made a 35 year radio career pointing out the flaws and hypocritical lying biases inherent in CNN and the 'big three'.  But they were doing well surviving the ascendancy of twitter and social media citizen journalism - until Trump took them head on.  Viciously.  Personally and by individually.  Accusing them of asking stupid questions, being bad reporters, working for fake news.

Dude is not within a million miles of being worthy of this comparison - but he really channeled a Jesus vs. the Pharisees vibe when he took on the media.  It was beautiful to watch.  It'll be interesting to see his relationship with the media after 4 years of dinosaur media decline.  These days people invite a dozen hip TikTok influencers. It'll be fun to look for CNN, ABC, MSNBC, and CBS and not see them.

I heard CNN lost to the cooking channel during Trump's presidency, during one time slot.  That was the beginning.

the key thing people forget about Rush (mega ditto, btw) is that he made it funny. He didn’t just whine, play the victim or mindlessly rant about conspiracies like Alex Jones.
