Online Scriptures in foreign languages
Kirajo replied to checkerboy's topic in Scripture Study Forum
Would 8 different languages not fall into the category of the word " variety"??? How dare they... -
Wow I'm really sorry about all of that. I'd feel the same way in your shoes and I've had my days of feeling wierd..uncomfortable, ect. at church. Then I realized that when I was at work I had no problem being more outgoing getting to know the other co-workers, asking about their family, how long they'd worked there, if they like it....so I tried to apply those simple questions and use them on the church ladies. It actually helped! When I was sitting next to someone in RS, It was like pulling teeth but I'd eventually ask "Remind me of your name??" and she'd tell me and I'd be like Ooh okay I'm Kira, how long have you been in this ward? I'm kind of new. I'd just do it little by little. It was not over night that's for sure. The only person that can personally change you, is you. You sometimes have to step out of your comfort zone and throw out all the negetivities and frusterations you have to move on. There's also a Big Brother/ Big Sister program that I'm sure you could use with all of your kids!! :) If you'd like the information on that just email me I'd LOVE to help.

Specify if you want, but even if the child is born with a less priveliged life that leads him/her astray, that's what we're here for. We're here to do the Lords work and find these people and teach them. But anyways I still say donate. :) haha

Donate Donate Donate!!! Poor little things just want a body to grow and learn whether they're in the church or not! :)

You know what's kind of cool to do when you read the BOM? If you just read it like it's an actual book (real or not) you learn to really enjoy it and listen to the stories. It really is my favorite " book ". Instead of looking at every verse with a " yeah right" attitude...it's just more fun that way and I gained a better experience from it! Just something you can try if you're interested! :) Welcome to the site it's fun getting new people!!

I think you're more mature now then you were then so you can handle more and are more disciplined. Who cares what age you are as long as you're doing what you love and are happy?! :)

You know I would..but I don't have 15 bucks either, nor would I qualify to sign up for an online dating site honestly haha. Good luck buddy.

Breaking Dawn After The 754 Pages- BOOK SPOILER
Kirajo replied to StrawberryFields's topic in Book Club
It wasn't the first chapter that was leaked it the first......oooh....14 chapters? I read them all. Hahah, you can read them at StephenieMeyer.com -- The Official Website of Stephenie Meyer i liked it better than the original twilight to be honest. Although it wasn't finished. -
Okay my favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 and just a cute little saying (works well with missionaries who have families that are particularly torn about them leaving home for 2 years), " As long as you are close to the Lord, and I am close to the Lord, we're not that far apart." :)

Either get rid of him and find a way to get help or find a happier environment for your kids. They're being abused. I could care less about what you want right now, I care about what your kids need. And what your kids need, is best for you too.

I didn't grow up in Utah, I moved here from Idaho (Not much difference, but I somehow dislike Utah a great deal and still love Idaho haha). That being said, I've always envied members that have lived outside these bubbles and grew their testimonies in places where they were really tested in teaching by example. I've always felt that their testimonies were much firmer and stronger than mine (Not saying that's the sole cause for my weaker testimony, just something I've noticed). My kids will actually grow up most likely in New York or North Carolina and then move back to Idaho when they're around 10 or so years old. I once heard a story about a girl that moved from the East to the West and she was told that where she was moving there would be tons of LDS kids her age. She got so excited and said that she'd be able to guess which ones were LDS just by looking at how they acted and the examples they lead. She was dead wrong when almost all the kids acted the exact same...and not in a good way. It dissapointed her beyond belief. So, I too wish that if it is true that Mormons in Utah refuse to live outside this little bubble atleast for a little while, they could open their eyes and see the great possibilities and experiences they could gain. Me being one of those bubbled up people, I'm nervous to move away but I'm really excited to feel the difference and grow up a little so to speak. :)

So basically Repentant1 needs to try a few different ways of washing them to make them last longer. :)

They recently did a survey in my ward about womens garments and our satisfaction with them actually I think they try their best to fit everyones needs. As far as "top notch" fabrics, they definitely would cost a higher price and that's fine if you're willing to pay more for them. Have you tried the other fabrics long enough to see if they'll wear out as soon as the ones you currently wear?

Haha! Oooh man Amber, I took early morning my senior year. It was rough but I learned just how determined I can be! haha! Love you girl hope your first day goes great!!! :)

I like people like you. Keeps me on my toes and makes me think! I think most people here are accepting of others no matter what religion or beliefs and what not. Although I am definitely sure some will lose their dang minds the second you say something as simple as " so...how about that Joseph Smith?" haha. Welcome to the site!

Anti-Mormon Protesters outside Temple in Twin Falls, Idaho (8-16)
Kirajo replied to SSEiYah's topic in Mormon Videos
A lot of the ancient prophets were known to not be toooo calm about it if you know what I mean. " REPENT!! REPENT NOW!!" haha. I'm sure they mean well, but you're right, they spend more time saying why we're awful instead of explaing to us why they're so great. :) -
Thanks for the post, I agree! I definitely need to work on this one.

I'm not at liberty to discuss what will happen to you if you read them backwards. And just a minor hair trim is all thanks for noticing haha.

I personally love Harry Potter. I can understand why some would hesitate at them though, they've gotten darker and more evil towards the end of them and it has a peculiar resemblence to the idea of Voldemort being like Satan and Dumbledore being like Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ. Whether JK Rowling meant for it to imply these ideas I don't know. But if you don't get too invovled with them and just look at them as a good read, it's not something you'll burn in Hell for reading. I promise.

Agreed. The dress the size of a pillowcase isn't what I'd call the best idea in the world but sunglasses and a puppy purse and 80 dollar haircuts?? Find some new people to judge. On the other hand I know what you're saying about Leh's vision. Such as the destruction of cities, the verge of an economy crash, the evils of the world being seen as acceptable (gay marriage, pornography, children being exposed to sex, drugs and violence at an earlier age every year). We've got a tough road ahead.
