I was wondering why they removed "mormon church" from Mormon.org

I really enjoyed the talk! However, I feel like it will be used as ammo against us. As a non-believer for a short season I can see how people will pick that talk apart. He said either the Book of Mormon is of God or devil. Non-believers will say well he just admitted its of the devil because I don't believe it. Then the comment about those who read the Book of Mormon will automatically believe. There are many who have read the Book of Mormon who don't believe. What does everyone think? I will say that the talk hit home for me and eliminated all middle ground. What an amazing session!!!

Since I joined the church my Grandpa has always said that if I even thought about leaving the church I would lose my family, property and life. The first two have happened so I struggle answering his question about getting my life taken. He says the Danites are going to come after me like old times. Can anybody help me come up with a solid answer for him because I am struggling?

I really enjoyed the feeling of the Temple and feel like I understood most of it. It is fun like solving a complicated puzzle and gets my mind going. However, [other aspects--removed specific reference. --JAG] still make me wonder.

What do the posters think about islamic women wearing veils? Is that oppressing to women?

I know that through the atonement I can change any behaviors that cause issues to make it work. If she doesn't want to try again atleast for my next spouse.

I agree King Benjamins address is amazing. It converted me when I first joined the church and I read it today well fasting and praying. It was what I needed to sit down and pray with a full heart.

I prayed and fasted; I now know the church is true. Today I had a stronger manefestation then I have ever in the past. Divine tentacles were pulling me back to the church. I know that God lives and loves me because he hasn't given up on me. I am tears right now because I know how blessed I am that he pulled me back into the fold. I really had no reason for him to save me abd mouthing the church and all. Maybe I should get ex communicated to pay for my sins. I deserve it.... I just wish my wife would realize that I have a testimony and forgive me for anything I did wrong. I am in repentance right now, so very sad thinking what I have done. However, am very happy that God pulled me back. What a blessing I am astonished how true it is. I hope God can forgive me and everyone else can forgive me.

I understand where they are coming from something along that lines is within the Temple ceremony. If you disobey your covenants the wrath of god will come upon you. I just didn't know anybody believed that. Nonetheless it has solidified my wanting to get out of the church, so I appreciate it.

I have been threatened by many people that the wrath of god will get me because I am not a member. Is that church policy? I though the devil was the evil one? So who does the bad stuff the devil or god?

If we could get all the money we lose per white collar crime we wouldn't be in debt. It would bring in way more money then we pay for any welfare program. It's a shame that people don't understand how much money USA loses because of white collar crime.

Free Masonry is not a religion it is a brotherhood that believes in God. The prerequisites to be a Mason is a belief in God and be an honorable man. They go as far as to do a background check before they let you enter. Not just a employment type background check, but a military clearnce type background check. .

Has the Priesthood always been age based? As far as when you are a certain age you go up in the Priesthood. From my scripture study it reads like the Priesthood was suppose to be set up a little bit different. Mainly, less age based. I'm interested in dates, talks, scriptures etc.

I went for the first time a couple months ago and thought it was great. Keep two things in mind beginning to end and progression. I love this gospel!

My understanding of secondary emotions is that they are emotional reactions to other emotions. In the situation I explained anger was the first emotion. No other emotion preceded anger or caused me to be angry. Which means anger is a primary emotion.

When I am woken up I get angry. How is anger a secondary emotion in that case?
