Which is so annoying, because there is no solid line for defining what a person is, or what it takes to be human.... (of course if one argues dna, then soon as you have two gametes fuse and start cellular replication you have a human)

Good question. Not entirely sure in regards to that. I tend to lean rowards a kingdom being more as a state or phase of nature/existence more than a specific place. But thats just my opinion.

Its more of a worldly matter, seemingly important to some critics. In regards to tribal descent there are a few promises/covenants that seem to be unique to them. Also another wrench; through certain situations, it is possible to lose genetic info of various ancestral branches.

Conference Talk: When is the written account made?
Blackmarch replied to Sunday21's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
The talk is prepared first on paper, so it can be reviewed by the 12, as well as preparing the translators before conference starts. There has been a time or two when speaker said they would deviate from what they've prepared. Also being human id wager there would be small differences between the written one and the live one -

Some are. Most probable candidates are the ones found in the eastern and north eastern americas. Look up haplotype x and x2. Adena and hopewell cultures are very promising in that regard. Dna evidence is pretty difficult to use.... However the x and x2 types are indicative of some sort of middle eastern ancestry.

good message. even Christ himself said that he came to heal the broken and sick. one individual in the LDS church that i met out east who was a scholar (i can't remember what field for the life of me) but had done serious study of the church noted to me that almost all the people he's spoken to in the church who have had really strong testimonies of the gospel had at some point in their past been broken or in a dark place in some way or another. I always thought that was interesting.

Molecular shape. Certain shapes fit certain types of taste bud clls, which are also limited by how much, and how much of a reaction they can go through. Apparently theres a chef who uses chemistry to come up with really odd food combos that are real money wonners. If i also recall the industry can also use tissue samples from animals to help determine tastes.

Converts who leave the Church.
Blackmarch replied to An Investigator's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
some people live in places where even writing out the name God would count as taking god's name in vain according to local law and could potentially have bad repercussions if someone found out. G-d is a sort of a way around it. I've seen other people do this online, no idea if this is why traveler chooses to do so, but its' fine with me either way. -
Hmm wonder if that is about the amount of time people need to start seeing past the bluster and lies. (need a new distraction to crow about)

I've always found it interesting that within mosaic law if all the judges in a trial judged a man guilty, he would then be acquitted of the accused crime instead.

How are we supposed to divide our worship of the Godhead?
Blackmarch replied to a topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Yes. God the father is who we pray to and seek to please. Christ is our mediator and representative to god the father- he represents the father to us, and in turn he brings us to the father. The holy ghost is the primary means of communicating to us, but also is part of the process of being sanctified (to be able to be in the fathers or the sons presence one must needs be sanctified). He is also a promised companion, should we remain true to our covenants. (it could also be seen as the one who brings us to christ) -

Most athiests ive met dont ponder that every day, but i doubt that there are any athiests who never ponder their mortality as they understand it at least once in their life.(although i doubt their thoughts include christ in them for the most part)
