  1. I thought he would do a great job when I heard he was getting the joker role, always liked him, but when I saw the movie I hated it mainly for his portrayal of the Joker. I thought he was terrible. I can't bring myself to watch is again it was that bad, but then I love the first and third movies.
  2. That is the gold pendant picture!
  3. I guess it could only have been that then! Thanks for clearing that up for me.
  4. Would information like which tribe you belong to be in another document? That is the only thing I am 100% sure was in the letter I received.
  5. Though I still don't get the connection?
  6. Thanks! That was it!!!!
  7. Found an LDS 4 pictures, 1 word on google play store a few days back which is fun but has a few difficult ones throne in! I'm stuck on one at the moment and don't have any points left to reveal any letters so was hoping that one of you lovely peeps could help me out! Been stuck for nearly 2 days and it's driving me nuts!! The pictures are: A driving license. Golden pendant with Salt Lake temple and bee hive on it. Sweet sweet 16 (no image just the words and numbers). An old looking photo of a couple sharing what looks like a milk shake I used my last points to reveal a letter and the word starts with a letter L. The letters are: E,A,Y,I,R,R,L,N,G,U,L,G. Its a six letter word beginning with L, hope you can put me out of my misery!!
  8. I've submitted a request already, it was after submitting that I began to think that maybe I may not of had one done.
  9. That's my problem, I remember having a few meetings but cannot remember what they were about or what happened. I just have this vague memory of getting this letter which contained details about what tribe I was from and some other details I cannot remember. My memory is a bit hazy about details from 26 years ago
  10. When I first joined the church way back in 1987 I remember getting a letter a few weeks after my baptism that had things in about me like what tribe I am from. Was this my patriarchal blessing or am I getting my wires crossed?
  11. Why would you be surprised that a 12 year old having a red belt? In the club that I attend red is the belt you get after white! What system of eskrima was it? I'm a Doce Pares man myself. EDIT bit of a mistake on my behalf, red isn't the belt you get after white that is yellow and then its red!!
  12. The only time that I remember ever seeing one is in the film Greece! After reading this thread I googled drive in cinema's and found that there is one in the UK in Manchester! Might just have to take a trip down to try the experience!
  13. Christian, and if they ask which church I attend I would say LDS church.
  14. Welcome!
  15. Azog is mentioned in the Hobbit, Gandalf mentions him in conversation with Thorin, 'Your grandfather Thrór was killed, you remember, in the mines of Moria by Azog the Goblin,' to which Thorin responds 'Curse his name, yes'. Incidentally, this is the only place that Tolkien refers to Azog as a "goblin"; in the The Lord of the Rings Tolkien describes him as a "great Orc." This is not a discrepancy however, since as far as Tolkien was concerned goblin is merely the English translation of the word orc, not a different type of creature, and in The Hobbit almost always referred to orcs as goblins. The main sources for info on Azog is in the LOTR's appendices and the Silmirillion.
  16. Just wondering with so many high profile/famous people being part of the Church how do they go about attending Church? Do they attend regular wards with all their bodyguards etc or is there special sessions held for them? Do the likes of the Osmonds and US sports stars etc just mingle with the ordinary people of the Church?
  17. Going to give the email a day plan a try. Do you know if they are bringing this to android?
  18. That would be great if it was on android
  19. Does anyone know of a good Scripture reading plan apps that gives daily readings to read through the whole of the Scriptures in say a year which links directly with an electronic copy of the Scriptures? I'm thinking of something like the you version app but for the LDS Scriptures. Oh for android platform as well!
  20. In what way is he an idiot? Why is his opinion worth nothing?
  21. So what is the correct way of calculating your tithe?
  22. I wouldn't know about that as I don't live in the US, what are your thoughts on what has been said?
  23. Another quote from the same person. Many of my fellow members make false assumptions about tithing. You know what I'm talking about, we have the people who preach to tithe your "gross" and quietly you have the majority with more intelligence, who tithe their "net." The problem though is both groups are wrong because tithing is not an income tax and never has been. It's actually a 10% sacrifice of your new wealth (hence the reason the Lord used the word "interest"). Translation: subsistence funds are non titheable. The wealthy don't have to tithe their food/clothing/shelter budget because they're so wealthy, and guess what folks, the poor are not required to tithe their food/clothing/shelter budget EITHER. Anyone who actually believes that poor people should treat tithing as an income tax and tithe their food/clothing/shelter funds, is massively misinformed. The problem is church leadership avoids the issue entirely. They've even gotten more vague over the years. Current church publications have the vague and pointless word "income" all over the place, which leads many to falsely assume that tithing is an income tax. Of COURSE you use your income to determine your interest. Duh, What else would you use. The part that is never explained, is that it's possible to have income, but not titheable interest. I know many people who fit this. Sadly, ignorance reigns supreme, and most cars at the temple are rich people cars. Poor people, who need the strength the most, aren't there for the most part. I've noticed a disturbing behavior among the poor: they'll pay tithing (using the false income tax method) for six months so they can go to a relative's temple wedding, then they'll stop (because "income taxing it" as I call it, is UNSUSTAINABLE FOR THE POOR-yet closed minded people love to tell the poor to "just have more faith" which is why we're the bankruptcy and foreclosure capital of the nation).
  24. Read this in the comments section on a blog for the Salt Lake Tribune, what do people think? Tithing is not, repeat not, an income tax. It never has been. Many uninformed people in the church IMPLY in their talks that tithing is an income tax but they are profoundly misinformed. Subsistence funds are non titheable and never have been. Tithing is a 10% sacrifice of your new wealth (hence the Lord's use of the term "interest") and is NOT an income tax. There's never a discussion in the church about what it titheable and what is not titheable. Any discussion of method of calculation is avoided, and as a result, most of the church sits in ignorance, and poor people falsely assume that they have to tithe their food money and money they used to replace/repair things they already HAD. The church stays vague. In years past, the scriptural term "interest" was used in church publications, but now, the more vague and scripturally meaningless term of "income" is all that's used. SO HOW DO YOU CALCULATE TITHING (the people who go from their "gross" and the people who go from their "net" are BOTH wrong because again, tithing is not an income tax and has never been an income tax. I know many people who have an INCOME, but who have no "interest" to tithe because they have no new wealth whatsoever (all their money goes to food, rent, utilities, the DMV etc). Wealthy people in the church love to get on their arrogant high horse and tell poor people to "have more faith." Well that's easy when YOUR tithing doesn't come from your food/clothing/shelter budget. Article is here!
  25. It seems they were bought out by Deseret Books 2 years ago, so I've emailed them to see how I can get access to my content. Not received a reply yet
