  1. though I must say, all this talk about what love is, certainly makes my job as a writer easier, and I thank you all for that. And yes, the key to my heart would be Peter Gabriel too... amongst other things
  2. The daemon said that he would take me home To the pale, shadowy land I half-recalled As a high place of stair and terrace, walled With marble balustrades that sky-winds comb, While miles below a maze of dome on dome And tower on tower beside a sea lies sprawled. Once more, he told me, I would stand enthralled On those old heights, and hear the far-off foam. All this he promised, and through sunset's gate He swept me, past the lapping lakes of Flame, And red-gold thrones of gods without a name Who shriek in fear at some impending fate Then a black gulf with sea-sounds in the night" "Here was your home," he mocked, "when you had sight!"
  3. with all this talk about astral projection and candy... I should find my drums
  4. oh those candies were... I donno... i liked the popcicles though... they had a dumb name
  5. that's just one thought, different people have different thoughts. That's the thing about a lot of new age idea's there are many different ones that can pertain to the same thing, or different beliefs on the same thing (such as where we go when we die, how many deities there are, what one considers a deity, if there is a deity one can talk to, how prayer is conducted, all sorts).
  6. omae wa mou shindieru okay that...no that works (roughly translated) you must already be dead
  7. does someone have to have someone else coming to their home that wouldn't exactly work for me
  8. that's deep, still couldn't imagine myself with a family though
  9. I know, I was just going into the science-y mumbo jumbo of it:lol:
  10. does one have to have visiting teachers
  11. he never told the son of Jor'el to kneel, he is no Zod
  12. as the center of my own universe, I am not fit for the ideal marriage:lol:

  14. oh well that is a good start
  15. since I am not LDS that is not my area of knowledge. but working out doesn't do anything for the mind, the mind still wanders it is good to keep in shape, but the mind is important too.
  16. well bishop aside, methinks you should get a hobby or something. something forfilling, which also can help with depression. I myself paint miniatures, write, read all sorts- I recommend something where you can see a result upon completion (like painting) I know what both those things are like (depression and watching pornography) and like to think I am... better at dealing with my feelings these days
  17. yeah there was a scienfeld episode about that
  18. lucid dreaming is harmless, since all it is, is you are almost awake (or almost asleep) and your mind still is active enough to control your imagination. since most of my novels come from my untainted dreams I leave them alone
  19. Though as a Wiccan I never partook in astral projection, I knew about it and those who did. The mind is a powerful tool and things like that should never be done by those who do not fully understand them. I have never heard of someone just separating from their body like that, typically such things need a great amount of focus, and that just happening, sounds like garbage to me. I hear these things quite often, and as someone who has seen and lived in neo paganism, there is so much trash cited as fact and people think its evil. Though I may not practise it anymore I still hold dear many things I learned and still learn from it. I've been meditating for years and can barely come into my "positive zone" (as I call it, the state of my supreme calmness). It takes more then simply buying a book to understand and practise the craft, just like buying a Book of Mormon and not drinking tea doesn't make you a Mormon.
  20. as well they should I am quite mad:lol:
  21. I often found my beliefs span across more then one religion (much like my political views span across several ideas) no unkind words to the missionaries i talked to but they don't seem to understand some of my questions (not that I blame them, I know they have never met a sort like me before... I probably warned them too)
