There are certain jewish groups that have accepted Christ. They don't constitute the majority, but they are there.

I believe in the revelation that Jerusalem will be rebuilt prior to the second comming of Christ. (Both new and old), and a literal gathering [which I think includes non-lds ] That implies to me that at some point the tribe of Judah, and the other tribe's will be (or are currently) granted divine allowance of that land.

My gay best friend wants me to attend his wedding

This was hinted at earlier, but I would also like to note that just because all people aren't perfect examples of gender roles, doesn't necessarily mean they are of the persuasion ____ sexuality, contrary to what gender they may be genetically. I know plenty of men who like to cook, dress dandy, good with children and are emotional. I know plenty of women who like video games, camp/don't mind dirt, build things, and are not very emotional. There is more to gender and sexuality than just a few gender roles. -
I am generally of the persuasion that the sin's of the fathers shouldn't be placed upon the children. Rather than pointing fingers of who's fault it is. How can we improve the peoples lives who this has all affected? I'm not saying that it would be fair or completely just, hopefully God will make up for that.

I like the spirit I feel in the buildings dedicated to worship.

I don't know if i'll ever be in such a situation, and I pray I don't have to be, but if my best same gender friend were to have a gay marriage and invite me I would probably want to have a personal talk saying something about, How hurtful it is to see someone do something that I believe would limit their potential in the eternities, and how conflicting it would be to celebrate something that I feel condones something that would hurt them so much. I believe I have a good enough relationship that would be all that I would need to say. I'm pretty sure I would feel sorrow... If not, it would still be a hard thing to decide upon. -
Gradual exposure for some people to certain allergens can help build up immunity or cure the allergy in some people. Though i'd only recommend trying such a technique under supervision and guidance with a qualified Allergist. (It's kinda sorta maybe what you are describing) Might not be such a great idea to do on your own though. It is your body, but it might be nice to avoid hurting yourself since at the very least it may cause emotional pain to the ones close to you that see it. (Also maybe you are craving a high protein/cholesterol/choline source? Do you like fish? [which in some countries is a breakfast food] )

Risk would be relative to the skill of the person. For a highly skilled person the risk probably isn't all that much greater than say for other mundane things such as driving a car in the united states.

If the medium of contact causes noise, limit the time of day. (e.g. email at night, texting maybe since it's noise is normally limited) IM and chat mediums are generally used for near instant feedback (technology is generally built so as not to have delay...normally), If it has a video feature it is probably for instant feedback. (Can drop messages) Email, and other such communications should be seen similar to sending a letter, don't expect timely feedback. Email while being sent can be delayed (has to do with the technology). (Will not likely drop message, will warn you if can't be sent) Texting, facebook, twitter...etc is an in-between depending on person. (There may be delay geographically as databases update. Texting follows the reliability of cells, so yeah) Important News should be shared individually. Often preferable is in person, letter (formal), phone, and facebook/twitter/diaspora/etc... lastly so the news spreads.

Will it cause an arms race? What evidence is there for this? (Not that I agree with militarizing the police)

I like hearing the different view points.

Well one of my big goals would be World Domination so pretty much anything else might seem small compared to that. Okay that isn't really a goal.... or is it! lol

Transgender issue in Idaho. I'm conflicted...

This is probably one of the best ways for people to get along. Let communities govern themselves, if you don't get along find a community that suits you. Still a couple problems with that though. -
Normally I keep to myself a bit in IRL, and don't go out of my way to bring up controversial topic's...but if someone starts talking to me about it i'll let them know where I stand. Things only become a problem when the next response becomes a criticism of a viewpoint. The only difference is that people seem more likely to bring up controversial topics online, and often the people most interested in responding also have strong opinions.

I was informed of the "AK47's" and "M16's" being held and used by kids by a Palestinian himself that I attended an educational institution with. (Who is very anti Israel and basically hates Jews, and celebrates when they have problems...deaths..., just like the Israelis sitting and celebrating bombings. Other than that he seems to be a good guy) While these images may be used as propaganda in some circumstances it is very much a reality. It is also true that most kids do throw rocks rather than shoot at Israeli forces (same guy as source). Which rock throwing is also used as propaganda.

Children running around with essentially military grade weaponry is pretty common, even if such a photo is doctored.

This discussion actually strikes me as a good example of something that borders black and white and is a gray issue. Is it wrong to celebrate something good? No! It's good to celebrate something good. Is it wrong to compassionately avoid upsetting people? No! It is good to be compassionate. What happens if they come into conflict?

This is why some delineation of gender roles is actually sometimes just maybe a good thing. When the boundaries disappear, the ability to tell the difference between on thing or another; how do you define things? Context disappears. (Trending towards brave new world?) -
You are quite right, there are some terrible things happening to the Palestinians. I've heard about it from some native palestinians themselves. I've also heard about the horrible things that are happening to Israel from some jews. I don't think this issue is completely black and white.

They probably keep track of embassy warnings and relay that to the missionaries. Spy stuff is cool :-) but I don't think they have the FBI or any other country specifically working with them for this stuff.
-
The church statistically does pretty well keeping missionaries safe. I don't know exactly what the church could do to protect them from this though.
