Budget got a reaction from SpiritDragon in Accepting Pedophilia: Is it going to happen?
I remember reading about this as well (a couple years ago I think).
I am also thinking that as Muslim culture comes to be more accepted in America the child-bride issue (accepted and justified pedophilia) comes with it.

I agree with this... (but absolutely do not agree with writing checks when the money isn't the account, believing they will somehow be covered).  When our kids were tiny and I looked at our income and outgoing in a spreadsheet, the math didn't add up as outgoing was more than incoming.  But we existed, we lived, we paid our bills, we made it.  However that was of course due to me paying the 'important' bill, putting off one or two until the next paycheck, robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak sometimes... but it all worked out in the end.     Just not on paper.  LOL.

Please, please, please... don't write checks you have no money in the bank for.  That's fraud.  You can go to jail.

Dude... writing checks when you don't have money in the bank is ILLEGAL.  Big banks will slap a fee instead of take you to court depending on how good a customer you are to them.  But, the people you are writing the checks to CAN have the cops put you in jail pending a court case.
Yes, she may have been told by the Spirit to do it anyway.  That does happen.  But those kinds of stories should not be shared as a Faith Promoting Story.  It should be kept in your own journal as a testament to your faith.  Unless instructed by God to make that story known as with the story of Abraham trying to kill Isaac making its way into Scripture.

It's a commandment to multiply and replenish the earth. I believe the Lord will provide a way. But, the Lord will help those who help themselves. To me that means the parents have learned the skills to provide not only for themselves but for their children. And, I agree with Anatess, we don't always need XYZ to have children. IMO, the biggest component of providing for a family, whether there are children or not, is shelter. If there is a home then food and clothing can be economically provided. Children do not need their own bedroom. Rooms can be shared--even beds. In our current culture that seems to be so taboo, but it has been the norm for ages. Growing up, I shared a bedroom and the same bed with an older sister. I admit, my older sister probably didn't appreciate sharing with a younger sister, but that was life back then.
I have an uncle and aunt who had 14 children and lived in a small two bedroom house. They probably could have afforded a larger home because they had a good income, but they chose to stay in their small house. They retrofitted the back porch into another bedroom, and then when the boys were teenagers, they fixed up the largish shed outside into two bedrooms. One of the boys even fixed up the attic for bedroom space. Their home was the cool place to be. I loved visiting them. Also, keep in mind, by the time the younger children were born, some of the older children were already young adults and living on their own. Their home was sometimes a little chaotic, but love abounded, and I don't think any of them would have had it any other way.

And just a piece of advise - it's difficult to learn anything unless you listen to the other side.  I'm not saying you should trust Trump.  I'm saying, there is going to be a new President of the USA and right now there are only 2 most likely ones.  Might as well know what these people are saying so you will have an idea of which of the 2 is more likely to hinder your trip to Zion.

Besides... Heavenly Father becoming Man... nowhere in any teaching in all of Christendom is it ever believed that Heavenly Father became Man.  Rather... Jesus, a person in the Godhead, became Man through his mortal birth through Mary.

Just in case "espoused" is contributing to the doubt about adultery, "espoused" is similar to what we might think of as "engaged" (though more culturally binding, from my understanding, than we tend to think "engaged" is).  So when  it says Mary was espoused to Joseph, no, she was not already married.

Instead of relax/enjoy yourself I saw this example as a thrifty, smart and professional person who maybe doesn't have as much money as people think she does - but she still carries herself well and takes care of herself so know one knows.
I had a similar yet different thing happen at work.
I was getting a new vehicle after driving our minivan and being 'that minivan mom' for 13 years.  The van was in great shape for being 13 years old as I take very good care of my vehicles.  Still, a dealer isn't going to give you much for it so I decided instead I wanted to give it to someone.  I wanted to anonymously 'gift' it to someone who truly needed it. But I didn't know anyone in that position at that time. I called on a contact I knew who knew 'everyone' and asked her if she knew anyone in need of a free minivan? She said she'd get back to me.  The very next day she said she did.  I told her I didn't want to know who it was, but I was signing the title over and she could give it to them.
The day after, she brought me $100 in cash and told me the person who got my van insisted on giving me something for it and this is all she had at the time.  Without using names she told the person who got our minivan was a single Mom going through a divorce.  She has 3 kids, two of whom are still in elementary school.  Her truck is being repossessed and every day she drove it to work wondering if it would still be in the parking lot when she left for the day.  She cried when she found out someone was going to GIVE her a free vehicle.
    That was a Friday afternoon.
Monday morning I went to work.  I had an office inside City Hall.  The City Administrator came into my office and sat down in the chair in front of my desk. She told me she wanted to thank me for what I did with my minivan. I was confused how she knew but realized she was very good friends with the woman I put in charge of finding someone so I'm sure they talked about it at church that weekend when they saw each other.  Then she started to tear up and repeated again; "No. REALLY.  Thank You."   ???  She started to cry and said, "yes... it was me who needed the van.  I figured I had to tell you because you will be seeing it parked int he parking lot every day and I knew you would wonder."
Yes.  One of the highest paid positions in the city, who was professional and dressed to kill every day in her suits, was in dire straights financially, going through a horrible divorce, needed numerous big repairs on a house falling apart and having her vehicle repossessed.

I don't know what "an ISIS thing" is, apparently.
The shooter (who'd want me to write his name) called 911 and said he was with ISIS. He wrote a list of people to kill (groups, not individuals). He went to a mosque and listened to an imam who'd said it was compassionate to kill homosexuals. He went to Mecca.
Then he went to a night club and wounded 100 people, half of whom have died.
Nope, definitely not "an ISIS thing".

Over the past week there have been numerous stories re; the guy that sold a $40 printer...  to a habitual 'lawsuit filer' and now, 6 years later the lawsuits are still coming in and the amount was up to $30,000 in 'damages' from a printer the habitual lawsuit filer (it's how he makes his living) claims to have suffered due to a printer that didn't work.  Crazy but true. Our system is sooo messed up.

That's why I asked.  I wanted to know where he's coming from.
Normally, we (and that includes all Christendom) read that part of scripture as the importance of Repentance and Praise in the same manner that Mary, sister of Lazarus, was honored for praising Christ while Martha cooked... not as a sign of these women being married to Christ.  The marriage implication is a work by Dan Brown.

Right... but the only time that I know of that the story of the anointing is tied to Jesus being married is in the DaVinci Code where Dan Brown claims that Mary Magdalene was married to Jesus and that the Catholic Church suppressed this information by tying Magdalene to the woman with the 7 demons who is the same woman who anointed Christ with her hair, therefore diminishing her role in the scriptures... or some such.

Budget got a reaction from NeedleinA in Crystallized Honey? - Food Storage suggestion
The metallic taste is just because the air has hit the honey exposed to it. It's not really harmful but it obviously doesn't taste good.  My personal thoughts (if it were me) is I would transfer all of the honey into smaller glass mason jars - and it's up to you if you throw out the small amount of honey exposed to the air that has a metallic taste, but if you have a whole gallon of honey basically, I'd probably just mix it all together knowing the small amount with the off taste would be incorporated into the larger mass - mix well and separate into my glass jars with lids and put into the pantry.  You can warm the smaller jars to use the crystallized honey or just scoop it out as crystals and use it if it's going to be warmed, added to a warm beverage or used in baking/cooking where it doesn't matter.  You can also add a bit of hot water to the amount you need and 'melt' it into liquid honey again.

This won't stop it from crystallizing. There is nothing wrong with the honey at all. Actually this is proof that it is 100% unadulterated honey.

This entire article is well worth the read, http://www.realnews24.com/there-are-shocking-differences-between-raw-honey-and-the-processed-golden-honey-found-in-grocery-retailers/
My husband suffers every summer from allergies from the pollen's, and the cut grass. I am having a very difficult time finding honey that the local bee farmers have not boiled to death. They say they have to, I say too bad and they had darn well label it pasteurized and how they pasteurized it. Yes, you can buy pollen in the Organic section of the store, but where is the pollen from? Not my neck of the woods. I keep forgetting to ask a brother at church if the family he home teaches still raise honey bees and harvests the honey. Way back in 2002 I got a gallon of it for $5.00, IF I brought my own GLASS gallon jar w/metal lid. Used it all up by 2009. Yes it crystallized, made it all that much easier to measure out and use. .
