  1. If pressing F5 doesn't help them uninstall it and install this: PowerPoint Viewer 2007 If that doesn't work, then just "Kick" your machine! (no not really, just punch it or smack it a good one Oh, you might see if your browser is preventing pop ups. Mine does that, ROYAL pain in the behinder
  2. Poor Pity Me I can not go on those loop-d-loop rides at carnivals- they make me "throw up!"
  3. You can download this free powerpoint viewer, then you can open up powerpoints. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
  4. Those are the same symptoms my girlfriend had - she was diagnosed with MS. This was back in the late 70"s. In the 80's she was in a wheel chair and or bedridden. In the mid 90"s after a terrible car accident and spending months in the hospital with two broken legs and a fractured pelvis, they said her MS was in remission. She hasn't had a relapse since. Pam, have you been tested for MS? Get off the tylonal PM and go on the store brand knock-off of benedryl. That is what is in tylonal to make it the PM. Take a store brand knock-off of tylonal for the pain, and the knock-off of benedryl to make you sleepy. The cost of both pills together shouldn't cost as much as the name brand PM. I used to take which ever Name Brand PM that was on sale, to stop the pain in my hips and legs so that I could sleep. Then I was reading the labels and saw that benedryl was the sleepy ingredient. Check it out.
  5. Call the Temple in your area and tell them that you wish to put a name on the prayer roll. Then give your husbands full legal name. His name will remain on the prayer roll for two weeks. I heard a rumor that this can be done via the internet - can anyone confirm this??
  6. Maureen you forgot to mention Wikipidia! You are the Queen of finding anything via Wikipidia. That should add at least 25% more to your post count. Yeah, Post Dr T, post, post, post. Just be sure to post in a diffent thread each time. Just use a smiley that would work!
  7. I laughed out loud over that one! Thanks Hear that Dr T - go get your self some Pine Sol. "It wooks, It wealy, wealy, wooks. "
  8. Only if you want it to die a slow and extremely un-humane death. Put an ad in the paper and give the cat away first!
  9. Mine is Tinker Bell - I change my avatar about as often as I used to change my haircolor. Since my hair won't take a color anymore, I amuse myself with changing the avatar.
  10. That really works. I did it (collected my own), dispensed it along the boarder of my 5 acres! Did it weekly for several months, along with my dog - she would leave her mark next to mine! Instead of a water pistol use a squirt bottle with straight ammonia in it. Mark the bottle well so you know it is ammonia and do NOT use it around bleach. The ammonia will really repel them and keep them away. It is the equivalent of a cat spraying them. Mark your territory! If you don't become the Alpha, you will be ignored and delegated to the lowest rank in the pecking order. In this household, I am the Alpha. They were my cats to begin with. I have made my husband the second in command as far as the cats are concerned. Now when it comes to husband and myself in our own lives we are co-Alpha's .
  11. So, would you recommend taking it on a campout? The raccoons and garbage would be worth hauling a little extra weight, I'd think...I don't see why it wouldn't work - but you can also use moth balls. Not in the food of course, I use moth balls around my garbage cans to keep the coyotes and feral dogs out of my garbage. One word of caution - moth balls destroys the animals nasal passages, making them incapeable of smelling. I don't really know how this affects dogs, bears, coyotes in the long term. It will cause a cat to starve to death. If cats can't smell what they are eating they don't eat! I never knew that about Pine Sol. Did it work for bugs as well? Like spiders, beetles, etc.? It is going to be getting cold up here where I'm at soon enough, and I'm sure they are going to want to get in the house and basement before long... You know - I never paid attention to the bugs. When we first got the house, I had to remove 2 feet of cobwebs and spider webs from the ceiling. EEEEkkkkkkk, shriek, scream. I HATE - LOATHE spiders. But the beetles had more than enough food to keep them outside. They attacked and ate the slugs. Then there were the multitude of birds that ate the beetles and spiders. Had a HUGE Wolf Spider that lived up in the peak of the home, right above the kitchen window. I left her/him be - because s/he killed and ate the shrews and mice. Just like I left the underground hive of the Bumbles under the house alone. They pollenated my vegetable garden (1500 square feet of fresh vegies!) I don't think it will work on the bugs because they have a different respiratory system than mammals. For the insects I would use Sevin or any other insecticide powder/granuales/flakes for killing what ever insect you wish killed. I prefer Green Light brand. I loathe Ortho and Montcello products. They are evil, truly evil!
  12. What he said. You can also report him to the unemployment division. He has signed an agreement when he signed up for unemployment benefits that states he will not falsely report to them. He is falsely reporting. Also his SSA# is different than his Dads- and he will get caught. So will his Dad - for aiding and abetting.

    Dnar

My Grandmother had DNR - she had an abdominal anuerism. When it burst the Dr gave her enough morphine to take the biting edge off the pain. Two hours later she passed on. We were surprised she had DNR - but not against it. Grandma had been suffering for years with her rheumatoid arthritis and she was so tired and so ready to go. She was 84 years old. Both my husband and I have DNR, as does his mother.
  14. Don't go against your husbands wishes. The church does not advocate being sneaky and doing things behind your spouses or parents (if you are a legal minor) backs. Live your life as though you were baptised, go to church if you husband does not object. Pray, read the scriptures, etc. Pray for your husband and put his name on the Temple prayer rolls - but do not go behind his back. Talk with the Bishop/Branch President about this, and follow his advise. IF the missionaries are pressuring you to get baptised, get to the Bishop and tell him this, STAT! They are NOT to pressure you, and they are NOT to encourage you to go against your husbands wishes.
  15. Your post made me review my life, CK. I totally understand the addiction of cigarettes and alcohol. Been there, quit and made it through the withdrawls and have been 100% successful in not succumbing to the cravings. In april of this year I was diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic. Not much surprise there as my entire family are type 2 diabetics - it was bound to happen to me. I have been going to a diabetic specialist/nutritionist to learn what to eat, when to eat it and how to keep from having to take injections of insulin. I want to get better, not just maintain. I have been on a low carbohydrate diet. I am to eat 45 grams of carbs per meal, three meals a day for a total of 135 grams a day. This is a bit high for women, but the normal for men. I real labels now - and I am doing a fairly good job of balancing the carbs. I also have to have 15 grams of protien and 15 grams of fat per meal. Protien and fat slow down the absorbtion of sugar and also get the sugar to the proper organs. I was going in to see either the Dr or the Specialist on the average of every two weeks, and at each visit I was weighed and my BP was taken. At each visit I had lost 1 to 3 pounds, and my blood pressure was slowly coming down. On the 17th of July I had lost a total of 12 pounds and my blood pressure was in the normal range (can not remember the numbers.) My husband absolutely loves vanilla ice cream - and I generally have a half gallon in the freezer for him. I like an occasional cone maybe once every few months. I prefer chocolate bars and no I haven't been eating them since my diagnosis. Well, I had a dish of ice cream the other night. One solid scoop of vanilla ice cream. It tasted like ambrosia to me. Rich, creamy and delightfully sweet! Almost too sweet. 4 months of not having any candy or sweets - no jam on the toast or pbj sandwiches, so sugar in the pero- use splenda now. I was up all night on such a sugar high! My ears were ringing, my blood count was clear up to 297!! My average is 137. I didn't get sleepy until 8 pm the following night! YIKES - All this rambling comes to this part of your post: I can not handle sugars anymore. Sugar in ice cream, granulated, powdered, brown sugar, honey, molassas (love that stuff!), candy, syrup, etc. I have to have carbs so my body can produce the sugar to energize it, but I now know what processed sugar does to me. Can we spell - Z I N G I N G all over the place! Man, I am just too old to go on those sugar induced highs anymore. Plus sugar triggers the menopausal hot flashes! BLAH - Those side effects are enough to keep the processed sugars out of my mouth!
  16. Hi Shan, Milk has to be one of the most awful smelling things in the confines of a car. Sixpactr is "spot on" - use Pine Sol water or Lysol and wet/dry vac. It may discolor your carpet and uphostery - I would go for the discolor to get rid of the stench. Then roll down the windows to let it air out and dry out like Sixpactr says. Mold can be far worse than the smell of soured and rotted milk. I tell you Pine Sol is an underated cleaner. If it can totally get rid of skunk oil spray - it will get rid of less odious smells! Had I not experienced the results of it on skunk oil spray and on un-neutered male cat spray on sheetrock wall- I would doubt its effectiveness. But I have been there-and survived . I also use it to repel mice, rats, prairie dogs, ground squirrels, tree squirrels and chipmunks from entering my home. Place it in small plastic containers: clean empty butter containers, snack size glad/zip/store brand plastic containers, etc. straight. Fill the container about half full and set the containers around the outside peremiter of your home. At the time I lived in the woods in a single wide mobile home that was set 4 feet off the ground. I made little doors in the aluminum siding about one foot apart and put the dishes of Pine Sol just inside the skirting. I also placed dishes of Pine Sol inside my closets in the house, out of the way where I wouldn't tip them over. Under the sinks and behind the washer and dryer. This house had been abandoned and the "vermin" had taken up residence. We did not have the money to purchase or build a new home and I had to make do with it. Took me a month to rid the home of the vermin, and another two months to rid the home of their smells. Washed the interior from ceiling to the floors with 1 part Pine Sol, one part TSP and HOT Water. Then I rinsed the surfaces with 1 part TSP and HOT Water. We tore up the carpeting and tossed it because it was moldy and rotten! As long as I kept the containers filled with Pine Sol we had no more vermin trying to take up residence in the house. It also kept the racoons, bears and the coyotes away!
  17. She was something else - one night I sat and watched as many of the videos from Britain has Talent as I could find. That was when I first saw Peter, then Connie. The one with fire is awesome, just awesome. Thanks for this thread Elphaba - you are awesome too.
  18. This is a of lions attacking a water buffalo calf, who then gets attacked by a crocodile, and then the buffalo herd comes to the rescue.
  19. You are so right PC- Fact: TheSacredOne posted this topic on the 8th. He joined the 3rd of Aug. He has made 2 posts and his last time here was the 8th. Me thinks he wasn't serious, could quite possibly be a troll. Speculation: Doubt if he is ever coming back.
  20. That was great Elphaba - you could see the joy in Christian when he greeted his Men, made me cry!
  21. Here is just a snippet from BYU NewsNet: SALT LAKE CITY 10 August 2007 President James E. Faust, second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died at his home early this morning surrounded by his family. President Faust, 87, had served in the First Presidency since 1995 and as a General Authority of the Church for 35 years. A Church statement today said that President Faust had died of “causes incident to age.” the rest of the article is here .
