  1. One other thought - Your skin is your largest organ and needs to breathe so look into what fabrics you cover yourself with (clothes, sheets, blankets) and make necessary changes (pun intended).
  2. You can also write notes of encouragement to people or 'you did a great job' cards. If there is someone getting married, you can offer to help address envelopes (they will love you forever!). Take up a hobby that would serve others (ie knit baby blankets for new moms, make bookmarks to give to people) Ask your RS pres to give you a vt assignment of those who just want letters (besides the message, include calendar items, em prep tips, recipes, etc).
  3. Indexing can now be done on tablets and ipads. Go to familysearch.org > hover over the indexing tab > scroll down to web and click to get started.
  4. I could be wrong but I would think you'd get rashes in more places if it really was the garments. Maybe change deodorants, soaps and/or detergents.
  5. Glad that worked for you but for others reading this - it doesn't for everyone so I'd be real careful about doing that. I know someone who did the same and it led to years of issues.
  6. @Fether - First, congrats and best wishes!! Second, run don't walk to wherever you can purchase the books by Laura M. Brotherson and check her website to glean info (strengtheningmarriage.com).
  7. The Church leadership was not a no-show. The BSA knew they wouldn't be available when they had the meeting. It was a slap in the face to the Church for them to have it anyway.
  8. I've been waiting for this! I'm sad for Pres. Monson but I'm still joining Carb's happy dance!
  9. Ignore previous post - unable to edit. Anyway, I've been waiting for this. Just in - http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/questions-answers-changes-young-men-program http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/multimedia/file/first-presidency-letter-young-men-program-changes-may-2017.pdf
  10. It's called Regional Conference and because it covers a large area, I don't think there will be 'a good talking to'.
  11. @Zarahemla - It sounds like you could benefit from some grounding techniques (among other things). Google for more info (the following is the first thing that came up) - Grounding is a technique that helps keep someone in the present. They help reorient a person to the here-and-now and in reality. Grounding skills can be helpful in managing overwhelming feelings or intense anxiety. They help someone to regain their mental focus from an often intensely emotional state.
  12. It is possible to survive an entire church block without a phone. Many generations have proven it.
  13. False. It's because of the profit motive that you don't hear about the real cures that are already out there. You made good points until the end and I just had to speak up. Now back to regular programming...
  14. While @person0 makes some good points, there are some amazing blessings that have been promised to those who do family history work (which includes indexing) that might help you as you go through the repentance process (protection from the influence of the adversary for one). So by helping others and building the kingdom, you also help yourself.
  15. Work on it anyway. The letter from the First Presidency (March 2012) didn't have stipulations. They just said how vital indexing is. Go here to learn more: https://familysearch.org/indexing/
  16. I'm not going to bother with the video but may I suggest that you counter 'research' that questions Christ/Christianity with other research that reaffirms it. There's a movie out now called "The Case for Christ" or you can read the book of the same title. My library also has a book by David Limbaugh "Jesus on Trial: A Lawyer Affirms the Truth of the Gospel". These are just a couple options and I haven't watched or read them (yet) but you may want to consider doing so yourself.
  17. I don't mind the look - as long as everything matches. A hodge-podge drives me nuts!
  18. Sorry, that doesn't ring a bell. Have you tried to ask the person who shared it in EQ?
  19. Father, Mother, may I meet you In your royal courts on high? Then, at length, when I've completed All you sent me forth to do, With your mutual approbation Let me come and dwell with you. - Oh, My Father Why: So rare to have Mother in Heaven mentioned or included
  20. Well, if she's going to use articles as her reasoning, then share some with her about teachers being under-paid and over-worked and then ask her to prevent you from starving.
