  1. Co-signed. @SilentOne rocks
  2. Leave @mirkwood out of this please.
  3. Speaking of Trump, I’m placing bets that he’ll suddenly turn pro choice or moderate on the issue because of recent elections. He flipped on the issue 45 times before, so what’s one more flip? Anyone want to take me up on it?
  4. Back in their day (Joesph F Smith) I think most men wore a beard. @Just_A_Guy, you were around back then. Any truth to that? 😜
  5. If you said you understood God correctly I’d be a little nervous. I’m not sure our human minds can comprehend what God truly is. Intellectually I agree with you. Most of my friends who are agnostic and deal with the problem of evil have usually struggled with great loss. It’s more a problem with emotions rather than intellect, which is totally understandable.
  6. Just to be clear, if a liberal, electable “Trump” came on the field (assaulting women, bullying, juvenile behavior, abrasive) liberals would embrace him with open arms. They won’t admit it, but they would. And they would have before 2016 too.
  7. I totally agree, and I think all of us, including @LDSGator and @Grunt, are guilty of it too.
  8. I’m a late stage Gen X/very early millennial. So I remember the Clinton years very well. One of my key issues with Trump is how his zealots view him and how they viewed Slick Willie. The right hated Clinton for his womanizing and were appalled by it. I’d argue that W even won because he the right trusted him with White House interns. Now, because they agree with Trump, suddenly the moral character of presidents isn’t that important. Oh, they’ll give lip service to it being important. But it no longer matters that much.
  9. I agree with both you and @Grunt that we should try to vote for moral people. But I’m realistic. No one is perfect, even my political heroes who I agree with 95% of the time (Ron Paul, Barry Goldwater for me) are flawed men.
  10. I tried the beard no mustache look and I thought I looked Amish.
  11. It’s not always rooted in atheism. In fact, I’m part of several Christian Libertarian groups.
  12. Even though I hate myself for it I’ll probably just vote for the Libertarian and throw my vote away.
  13. Couldn’t agree more!
  14. That, and the people who say this are usually the first ones to scream in rage when presented with facts that threaten their worldview.
  15. Understand totally. I’m in your boat as well.
  16. I agree both sides are guilty of it. But there’s no doubt that the majority of pro Palestine demonstrators and activists aren’t wearing MAGA hats and listening to Fox News.
  17. https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-greeted-loud-boos-south-carolina-football-game-1846920 When Trump is booed in South Carolina you know that’s an issue.
  18. The dirty little “secret” is that it’s the left who largely hate Jews.
  19. That’s a really great idea. It shows how much the church values families.
  20. Poor little girl. Losing a pet at any age is heartbreaking (I lost my mastiff this year) but at that age it’s particularly hard.
  21. Thanks. I don’t think I ever noticed who was sitting up front.
  22. You aren’t alone my friend. A lot of us struggle with things like this.
