As a child (early 1960's), when I was misbehaving in public, I got sent to the car. Admittedly back then windows were manual and you could have them all down. While I am sure my parents watched out the window, I never knew it and always felt safe. Other than your husband letting them know their behavior is inappropriate your only option would be to limit their access to you and your family. And yes, they are going to think that you corrupted your husband, but that's better than them corrupting your child. My job changed from being in town all the time to being on the road 60-75% of the time. I asked for a release and was given one and shortly after called to something I could handle long distance. Then after a couple years a really major health problem ended my being on the road permanently (but did cause other issues that affected some of my physical abilities too) so I let the Bishop know that also. Any time your life situation changes, you should examine whether you can not only magnify your calling but also whether you can even meet the minimum requirements and discuss it with the Bishop if you feel you can not.

I don't see anything in your letter that would elicit a response. I also don't see why since you have a testimony, you are allowing anyone keep you away from Church. Especially a 'leader' who was in the wrong from the beginning of this. Sounds to me like he is trying to cover his butt and he may be worried that you will blow the whistle on him.
