  1. Why even allow this lawsuit to go forward? Despite what this Judge believes these firearm makers are protected under Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. A bumpstock did not make a semi auto rifle into a full automatic long gun and gun manufacturers were not responsible for a cold murderer who shot people from his hotel room. This is like blaming the automobile manufacturers for the 38,000 that died in car wrecks in 2019.
  2. Hopefully this lawsuit fails. Suing knife, hammer, screw driver, crowbar, automobile or firearm manufacturers because someone misuses their products is ridiculous.
  3. A federal judge in Nevada has allowed a lawsuit to move forward that alleges semi-automatic AR-15 rifles should be considered machine guns because they can be converted to simulate fully automatic fire using bump stocks. The suit is being brought against several gun makers and dealers, including Colt and Daniel Defense, by the family of a woman killed in the Las Vegas massacre in 2017. The Parsons family and their attorneys asserted three causes of action, two of which were dismissed by U.S. District Judge Andrew Gordon. But Judge Gordon allowed the suit to move forward based on the plaintiff’s wrongful death claim, arguing that the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (P.L.C.A.A.) does not bar the suit from continuing. The case will next be considered by the Nevada Supreme Court. “We’re pleased that Judge Gordon certified these questions to the Nevada Supreme Court. We’re optimistic that the Supreme Court is not going to rule that the legislature intended to give immunity to companies that intentionally violate the law,” said one of the Parsons family attorneys, Rich Friedman. 4. The price is worth it in my mind. Gaining a knowledge of the reality of our Eternal Father and His Beloved Son has helped me in my life to not walk away. Many abandon their discipleship with Christ because they have not received their witness. But, when you receive knowledge be prepared to act upon it. If you do not act upon spiritual knowledge you receive it will be to your condemnation. Faith without works is dead.
  5. It's easy to pick a wrong path. As Christ said: "Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." -- Matthew Chapter 7 verses 13 and 14 I have to check myself all the time. My flesh wants to take me to wrong and selfish paths all the time. You need daily guidance from the Holy Spirit to keep you in the way the LORD wants you to walk.
  6. I went to an indoor shooting range some days ago. Shot a long gun out to the twenty-five yard maximum and also a pistol. I like long guns much more than pistols as they can be fired accurately to much longer ranges. I think my skills max out at around 220 yards with a rifle in good daylight conditions.
  7. Han Solo fired first. And there was no shame in it either in my opinion.
  8. May the 4th be with all of you.
  9. This is a tyrannical response to a person dressed and was pretending to be a police officer and who also had a car made up to be like a police car, who murdered over twenty people in many different scenarios. People would let down their guard because they thought he was law enforcement. As we all know more citizen gun laws would not have stopped this evil murderer. He died in a shoot out with Canada law enforcement. But tyrants will continue to exercise their authority over their subjects and blame Canada citizens with privately owned firearms when all the blame should be placed on who did the killing.
  10. Dubai has a hover bike they are working on. It can fly for about 30 minutes up to 60 miles per hour and fly up to 16 feet in altitude. Check it out here: https://driving.ca/auto-news/news/dubai-police-start-training-on-actual-flying-hover-bikes
  11. Medical science may possibly prolong our ages to around 120 to 130 years in the future. It is still nothing compared to the 700 to 930 years Adam and other ancients lived to.
  12. I am not a fan of the New International Version Bible. It is a watered down translation of the Bible and not as good and accurate as other English translations out there in my opinion.
  13. There is one other thought I have. It is recorded that Adam lived to 930 years of age. If his wife Eve lived with him with at least 450 years of fertility can you imagine how many children they had together?
  14. The Book of Moses was a restoration of lost portions of the book of Genesis. It does not change the years of age that are recorded that men lived to. Some examples of this can be viewed in Moses chapter 6. It is my personal belief that the bodies of men and women have become more corrupted and degenerated in this fallen world so we do not live as long. People used to live longer in the ancient days but not anymore. Perhaps God's hand is in this because it is very rare now for any person to reach 120 years of age or longer.
  15. I have read and compared a various number of English Bibles. The only Bible versions I really like in my readings are as follows: Inspired Version of the Bible King James Version Bible 21st Century King James Version Bible Anyone interested in searching the 21st Century King James Version Bible version can do so at this website: https://www.biblegateway.com/ This website gives also more information on the 21st Century King James Version: http://kj21.com/
  16. From what you posted it sounds to me your wife may have the spiritual gifts of faith, compassion and of hearing and using the still small voice of the Holy Ghost.
  17. I'm not saying that the Federal Aviation Administration is not a faceless bureau that is overly strict and sometimes tyrannical because they are. I am saying the technology for autonomous flying cars is not there yet. A flying car is also going to need to be easier to control than an airplane or a helicopter. They will not be common in my opinion for a long time either if they are invented because flying vehicles presently are very expensive.
  18. I disagree with this thought. There are no quiet autonomous flying cars out there right now. The technology is not there yet. All we have presently are different designs of cars that are just modified airplanes or helicopters and these are not easy to fly, very expensive and helicopters make a lot of noise. Any future flying car is going to be very expensive for a while and the biggest problem is the flying experience one needs to control a helicopter or airplane. You make mistakes with a helicopter or airplane and you die or other people die. Flying is more more difficult than driving presently.
  19. I have been following the Jack Phillip's court case for some time and I am grateful the courts have sided with his first amendment religious rights. The Bill of Rights lists out many of our liberties and rights and they are every American citizen's rights. A win for Jack is a win for all Americans.
  20. I doubt I will ever see this in my life again. The price of oil per barrel went negative yesterday. They are paying people to take barrels of oil because no one wants it! It is a huge oversupply of oil in the markets right now. That is unbelievable to me.Back in 2008 the price of oil soared to about $145 per barrel and now they are paying people to take barrels of oil off their hands. Edit: And the cheapest I can find gasoline for around me is $2.06 per gallon.
  21. By Jonathan Garber-- FOXBusiness -- April 21st 2020 U.S. equity markets fell sharply Tuesday as sliding oil prices weighed on investor sentiment and the Senate prepared to extend more relief for small businesses after a stalemate that left some owners facing ruin. The Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 387 points, or 1.6 percent, in the opening minutes of trading. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite each dropped by the same percentage. The early selling comes as West Texas Intermediate crude oil remained under pressure after a historic selloff pushed prices into negative territory for the May contract, which expires on Tuesday. The June contract, the most active, plunged 28 percent to $14.66 a barrel on Tuesday after falling as much as 42 percent in overnight trading. The epic selloff in oil continues to weigh on oil majors Exxon Mobil and Chevron, which were two of the three biggest Dow decliners on Monday. Other oil companies such as Hess Corp. and Phillips 66 were also in the crosshairs. Read more at: https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/us-stocks-april-21-2020
  22. That song does not bother me, but I do not like the Happy Birthday song. I like the old Disney Alice in Wonderland A Very Merry Unbirthday song much more.
  23. I do not know how many people on these forums believe in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. These cases of coronavirus quarantine with people having their rights violated should be watched but this is small potatoes thus far compared to what I have seen in recent years regarding violations of the 2nd, 5th and 6th Amendments of the United States Constitution in some states of this country. Thomas Jefferson said: "I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution." The 6th Amendment gives the accused the following rights: Speedy and public trial Trial by an impartial jury To be informed of criminal charges To confront witnesses To compel witnesses to appear in court To assistance of legal counsel All of these rights are being denied in some states with red flag gun confiscation laws. In some states the accused does not face the accuser, but instead their privately owned guns can be taken at the whim of a Judge who only hears one side of witnesses. If the Judge agrees with the witnesses the privately owned firearms (and any weapons) are seized from homes by police without due process under the 6th Amendment. The accused then gets to plead with a Judge and prove they are innocent. (Innocent until proven guilty is gone and they are also denied trial by an impartial jury.) From what I have read more than 80 percent of citizens are denied their property by Judges. In my research these awful laws have been used to strip firearms from more than 5,800 people across the United States without due process. I could not find how many times these laws were used in California but this state has their own police squads which are used mostly to confiscate private guns from citizens. Thankfully the majority of States do not have these laws on their books.
  24. The cost of food has been going up in our area recently. There are no more or very few sale prices now. I think food costs for us have increased about 10 to 20%.
  25. James E. Talmage taught the following in the book Jesus The Christ: "At the ninth hour, or about three in the afternoon, a loud voice, surpassing the most anguished cry of physical suffering issued from the central cross, rending the dreadful darkness. It was the voice of the Christ: "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" What mind of man can fathom the significance of that awful cry? It seems, that in addition to the fearful suffering incident to crucifixion, the agony of Gethsemane had recurred, intensified beyond human power to endure. In that bitterest hour the dying Christ was alone, alone in most terrible reality. That the supreme sacrifice of the Son might be consummated in all its fulness, the Father seems to have withdrawn the support of His immediate Presence, leaving to the Savior of men the glory of complete victory over the forces of sin and death."
