The question is not *what* he said, but *who* told him these things. Note that many of these predictions directly attack the confidence in its leaders and the survival of the church. Some will say, "Oh dear, we have three apostles which have been replaced, so his prophecies are coming to pass." May I suggest that this is a mixture of truth and lies. As Satan told Eve, "You will not die" after telling her that she will have knowledge. The entire purpose of these statements, as they come to pass, is to cause the saints to lose confidence in the church and its leaders. That's what I think.

That decision is left to the discretion of the individual submitter. You might not do it, but somebody can come after you and have it done (assuming the 110 year rule, etc) For me, if the couple had children, I would definitely do it, and have the entire family sealed.

You can find recipes for Salmon Cakes, also Mac and Cheese with tuna fish.

Be sure to dress the part. After all, it is Halloween. https://instagram.com/p/6a7IrgQzGc/?taken-by=mileycyrus (WARNING: this is what she looks like without makeup) -
"But according to my friend, that is exactly what they do." Apparently your friend is a trusted adviser to John "I fell off my bike and broke my leg" Kerry.

If they hear and reject the modern prophets, they won't listen to Moses either. Luke 16 [31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

I know of no prohibition against sealing a divorced couple. Indeed, if a living couple has been sealed, the sealing is still in effect after a divorce, unless they get a "temple divorce". Those must be approved by the First Presy.

The short answer is "No", The long answer is.... maybe but it would be very complicated. At best, after you died, someone would have go convince Familysearch to do a block on your name against any additional work being done. You are obviously having some serious marital issues, and I hope you can work them out. But the only real answer is what you already know -- she can't force you to have a valid sealing even if she has the work done. Just forget about it, don't worry about it, and get on with your life. I wish you all the best.

Bishop Caussé has a very impressive professional background which fits well with his role as Presiding Bishop. Think "logistics" -- moving food and supplies from one place to another.

CRITIC What proof do you have? (This is a followup on the Book of Mormon challenge Moroni 10:4-5) RESPONSE (the invitation) I can tell you that the promise was fulfilled in my life. You may find this video helpful To learn how to communicate with Heavenly Father, you may want to speak with the missionaries and they will teach you how it is done. But, again, the proof can only come from the Lord to you. We can only teach and encourage you to have that experience for yourself. You can contact the missionaries through mormon.org

Right! People don't change just because they are dead. The scenery may change but people are still people.

U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power said Friday that Iran’s recent ballistic missile test was “a clear violation” of U.N. sanctions. Power said that after reviewing available information the United States has confirmed that the medium-range ballistic missile launched on Oct. 10 was “inherently capable of delivering a nuclear weapon.” http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/10/16/u-s-ambassador-says-irans-ballistic-missile-test-was-a-clear-violation-u-n-sanctions/ ++++++++++++++++++== President Barack Obama said the United States would be “right there at the table” if North Korea made a good faith and serious effort to do away with its nuclear ambitions. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/10/16/obama-vows-to-be-right-there-at-the-table-if-north-korea-wants-to-make-serious-nuclear-deal/

CRITIC It's amazing that anyone can believe in religion. RESPONSE I think Freeman Dyson best explained religion in his description of quantum mechanics-->> "The important thing about quantum mechanics is the equations, the mathematics. If you want to understand quantum mechanics, just do the math. All the words that are spun around it don’t mean very much. It’s like playing the violin. If violinists were judged on how they spoke, it wouldn’t make much sense." --wiki For those who are deaf to spiritual things, it just doesn't make much sense.

Have not read the thread, but there is liability insurance for open carry. Sean Hannity advertises one such service that will pay the bail, and provide legal service. I would google "hannity open carry insurance" for some resources, such as https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/RadioOffers/SeanHannity.asp?id=Radio&sid=Beck_Capture

Missionaries and Serving their health needs -- Slate Article
cdowis replied to cdowis's topic in General Discussion
He justifies himself by stating that the church refused to respond to his questions. It would be interesting whom in the church he contacted, and what questions he was asking. I can find no way to commenting or giving feedback on this article on Slate itself, I sent an email to the newsroom about the article, so, hopefully, they will respond to the article as they have done with other such articles. -
Song of Solomon. How do you apply it in today's life?
cdowis replied to Uhura's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
It is a permanently sealed book, never to be opened except to those who have already read the inspired scriptures several hundred times, ponderized a thousand scriptures, raised a righteous family, done many years of humanitarian service....... Did I mention temple and missionary work? Home teaching, family history and indexing. IOW, those who have ALOT of time on their hands after doing "the basics". PS I hope that I wasn't too subtle in my response. -
Changed, Just curious. What church do you belong to. It sounds very similar to the LDS church, but has significant differences in doctrine. Perhaps Community of Christ,, etc.

An inteesting article on whether the church is taking care of the missionaries' health needs. "Mormons who fell dangerously ill on their missions say the church denied them access to medical care." What have been your experiences with this situation? http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/medical_examiner/2015/10/sick_mormon_missionaries_denied_access_to_adequate_health_care.html

I suggest viewing the press conference introducing the new apostles. Each one spoke about his calling, and it was very spiritual. https://youtu.be/aR9AbEG_Kbg
