N260D Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Hey folks! New to the site, making my introduction as instructed!! I'm 28 y/o, live in Central Virginia. and have started going back to the LDS church after having been, "gone" for a while. (On and off for the past 10 years) I'm hoping to meet a lot of great people here that are supportive and can answer questions I might have along the way! (Hopefully this is that type of site!?) I'm a convert to the LDS Church, as well as my parents - who have been actively practicing since before I was baptized. They are a large inspiration to me in my life. My interests include motorcycles, boats, anything aviation and of course building my testimony in the Lord. I'm excited to be a member of this forum and hope to meet some really awesome people through here! -Rich Quote

(IT'S NOTHING BAD, don't worry!!) Thanks for the warm welcome's thus far!! Oh sorry for misleading you. My bad. I'm not former military. I was a civilian working for the military. But at one point I did supervise 50 Navy guys...so had a couple of things against me..one being a female and the other being one of those civilians. Isn't N260D some kind of Aero sport model ? Quote

N260D Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 Isn't N260D some kind of Aero sport model ?Not quite... I'll explain it. (I'm dying too, can't you tell!! LOL!)All US registered aircraft (other than military) will start with an "N" for their "tail number." So in fact I made up a tail number that reflects something I believe in..."N" (IN) "2" (2) "6" (G) "0" (O) "D" ()INTO GOD. Guess it's just not "all that" is it?? HahahaaaSo here's where I got the idea...Greg Norman (the golfer) flew his Cessna Citation X into an airport I was working at some years back, and his tail number was "N260LF" or INTO GOLF.It's a play on having to use numbers to look like letters due to the constraints of how the registration rules are setup for the US. About two to two and a half hours depending on what part of Hampton Roads you live in.I used to live in Newport News for two years, then Hampton for a year. Worked and commuted to Norfolk those three years. Something I don't suggest doing if at all possible!! Quote
