pam Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Wingnut I think he is referring to the new video that just came out. Even after the one from the link you provided. Quote
Wingnut Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Oh, I didn't realize there was another new one. Is it just like there were two versions/sets of actors previously? Quote
Just_A_Guy Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Yep. Back when the new one came out last year, word was that eventually there would be three new videos in simultaneous use. Quote
Dravin Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 I wonder if the decision to make multiple videos, if JAG is correct then 3 of them, has anything to do with helping members focus through variety. Quote
Palerider Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 My wife went to the Temple and told me the she got to see the new one that just came out. She told me I would really like it. Quote
mordorbund Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 Yep. Back when the new one came out last year, word was that eventually there would be three new videos in simultaneous use.<claps hands giddily> Oh goodie, a trilogy! Quote
Wingnut Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 Did the Church hire Peter Jackson to direct the films? Quote
Jenamarie Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 Did the Church hire Peter Jackson to direct the films? No, because then it would have been one film in three parts, each talking as long to watch as the original one did. Quote
carlimac Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 I just saw the #2 new one today. Interesting. I felt like I was watching a soap opera. Adam and Eve don't really "fit" together IMO. But it was good. Better than #1 new. But frankly, I like the old ones better. They're nice and crisp and move right along. The new ones are just too up close and personal and lag over parts I'm used to moving faster. Quote
Vort Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 No, because then it would have been one film in three parts, each talking as long to watch as the original one did.Bingo. Quote
Anddenex Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 I prefer this new one to all the other videos. I especially like how they present the adversary. Some parts, again, like the other, a little melodramatic, but much better. Quote
dahlia Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 I haven't seen the new films, but the old one had rabbits. I like rabbits and hope they are in the new films. They are small and you have to look for them, but rabbits show up in surprising places - like temple films. Quote
jstnwalt Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 I just want to say that I really like both of the films and I love that the church is allowing variety in it. It is nice because it invokes new thoughts, perspectives, and ideas that I would not have had otherwise. I love talking with the temple president with any new questions I get, and so its really great in that regard. One suggestion for the future film is to take more time casting characters. Quote
dahlia Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Can your average creature of the wild do this? I think not. Only bunnies: Rabbits discover massive haul of stone age treasure buried at Land's End - Mirror Online Quote
