Traveler
My impressions is not at all what most depict as Satan. I see him as very hansom, charming and witty. If you were to meet him face to face - I believe he would come across and a rather pleasant person - well dressed and with perfect manners. He would be like your best friend - until you dropped your guard. The Traveler
Saab900man
I agree!!! I doubt he looks like Charles Manson.
Hikchick
I think if you were to look in his eyes you would see him for what he is. Pure evil with a side of selfishness and hatred! I'm sure he would try to come around with honey toned speach and very tempting offers to be friends. What most people would think as harmless would be shocking when the snake bites. However, we all knew he was a snake before picking him up!
ninjahobbit8
I'd think satin to look what he was like in Ghost Rider, an adverage looking person dressed sort of dark. Maybe an old man. He'd deffinitally have some sort of dark feeling auroa when you walk by him and maybe some kind of evil gleam in his eyes. but who am i to say what he looks like for sure? Dr T
LOL Pammy. The idea of Dante's portrayal of Satan with the tail and horns idea?
pam
Well probably more along the line of a redneck with too tight jeans and a t-shirt saying I love my truck more than my wife kind of thing. But Dantes portrayal would work as well.

pushka
Here's the full song, for anyone that's interested..with a link to listen to a soundbyte!Man Of PeaceLook out your window, baby, there's a scene you'd like to catch,The band is playing "Dixie," a man got his hand outstretched.Could be the FuhrerCould be the local priest. You know sometimesSatan comes as a man of peace. He got a sweet gift of gab, he got a harmonious tongue,He knows every song of love that ever has been sung.Good intentions can be evil,Both hands can be full of grease. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.Well, first he's in the background, then he's in the front,Both eyes are looking like they're on a rabbit hunt.Nobody can see through him,No, not even the Chief of Police. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.Well, he catch you when you're hoping for a glimpse of the sun,Catch you when your troubles feel like they weigh a ton.He could be standing next to you,The person that you'd notice least.I hear that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.Well, he can be fascinating, he can be dull,He can ride down Niagara Falls in the barrels of your skull.I can smell something cooking,I can tell there's going to be a feast. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. He's a great humanitarian, he's a great philanthropist,He knows just where to touch you, honey, and how you like to be kissed. He'll put both his arms around you,You can feel the tender touch of the beast. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.Well, the howling wolf will howl tonight, the king snake will crawl,Trees that've stood for a thousand years suddenly will fall.Wanna get married? Do it now,Tomorrow all activity will cease. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.Somewhere Mama's weeping for her blue-eyed boy,She's holding them little white shoes and that little broken toyAnd he's following a star,The same one them three men followed from the East.I hear that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.Copyright © 1983 Special Rider Musichttp://www.bobdylan.com/songs/peace.html
JcDean78
Empty Darkness, the absence of light. Here is a nice little joke that fits. One bright, beautiful Sunday morning, everyone in tiny Smithville wakes up early and goes to their local church. Before the service starts, the townspeople sit in their pews and talk about their lives, their families, etc. Suddenly, at the altar, Satan appears!! Everyone starts screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in their determined efforts to get away from Evil Incarnate. Soon, everyone is evacuated from the church except for one man, who sit calmly in his pew, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy is in his presence. This confuses Satan a bit. Satan walks up to the man and says, "Hey, don't you know who I am?" The man says, "Yep, sure do." Satan says, "Well, aren't you afraid of me?" The man says, "Nope, sure ain't." Satan, perturbed, says, "And why aren't you afraid of me?" "Well, I've been married to your sister for 25 years."

Blessed
My mom said once that she had a very real dream about him and that he approached her. She said he was the best looking man she had ever seen -- could hardly take her eyes off of him. Said that his voice was the most kindest voice, but she said while his eyes were beautiful they were also hollow. That image has always stuck with me. sixpacktr
I believe that it was Brigham Young or perhaps John Taylor/Wilford Woodruff that stated that Satan was a gentlemen, good looking, silver tongued, etc. My question, though: who cares? I don't want to be anything like him anyway, so what do I care what he is like? I'm still trying to figure out what Christ is like and be like him...
