Still_Small_Voice Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 It took me several months, but I got to 9,999,990 points in Super Mario World. Once the score gets this high it just freezes and doesn't go any higher. Check out my screen shot:SuperMarioWorld.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image HostingYes, I must admit, I have to be careful what video games I buy because I get addicted. Quote
the_jason Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Oh yes. I have. I made it to the top level with 33 kajillion points. My life is so boring and pathetic that I have all the time in the world to play stupid video games. Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Jason, I realize that video games may not be your thing, but try and be a little sensitive. Quote

FrankJL Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Dude, you have FIVE? Can I have one? No...I use them all 1. Delorme Earthmate PN-20 (Primary hiking/backpacking/geocaching unit - displays USGS topo maps and satelite maps which are great for finding trails not on regular maps)2. Garmin Geko 301 (backup hiking/backpacking/geocaching unit - picked up for only $50 on eBay)3. Magellan Explorist 400 (First GPS unit, sister is using it for caching till she gets one of her own)4. Garmin Nuvi 670 (Car Navigation, Bluetooth Phone Connection, MP3 Player)5 Garmin Forerunner 305 (Running GPS - Basically slightly bigger then a normal watch, keeps tracks tracks of runs, tells you distance, speed, heart rate. Lets you preprogram runs, run against virtal partners. Then lets you upload the data to see progress and compare against other runs, exports tracks to google earth to see run route, ect.)Since I run at least a few miles everyday, the Forerunner gets used the most out of any of the units. You think you could squeeze me in somewhere in all of this??????Blue box/musicElphaba Quote
FrankJL Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 oh yes..doh...I haven't messed with my own profile in so long I forgot about that msg.. Will do.. PS - I could also fit you in with some those other things too if you wanna come. When wake up tomorrow will be using the Forerunner for my morning run (I have a 4.5 mile route already loaded into it, will be running at 6.5 min/mile pace..so you better keep up!!). Then after doing some family errands in the morning (read: help dad split firewood /groan), we will be going on a short 8.6 mile (one way) hike up Mt Davis (2nd highest point in PA). Its only an elevation gain of a little over 2200ft from start to summit, so you should be fine. Then after a brief lunch at the top we will come back down. Wanna come? Quote

Besides, you're too skinny anway!Just fix me up with the blue box and I'll go watch a movie while I eat a dozen donuts, a pizza, a two-liter of diet coke, take a 2-hour nap with my new boyfriend Xander, then order in Chinese. By then it will be around 9 am and I'll go online and look to see if you've sent me a message!LOVE YOU FRANK!Elphaba Quote
MorningStar Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 I had to quit Nintendo cold turkey. I would play until I beat the game, be done with it, and then my parents would get me another one. Never did beat Top Gun. I hated that game. I ruled at Rad Racer and Super Mario. How do you do the negative worlds in Super Mario 1? I would walk through the wall backwards and get stuck in this swimming world that would go on and on and on and I could never figure out how to get out of it. That still bugs me. Quote
CrimsonKairos Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 1. Delorme Earthmate PN-202. Garmin Geko 3013. Magellan Explorist 4004. Garmin Nuvi 6705 Garmin Forerunner 305Which one would you say is the best for all-around use, primarily geocaching? Quote
FrankJL Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Depends on how you cache. I do a lot of way back woods long distance hiking caches. For those the Earthmate I think is the best, because it has the most detailed maps on the unit. For more normal short hike or urban caching I would get a Garmin Vista Hcx. It has less detailed maps but they are a bit easier to use for importing geocaching data. Also the Vista Hcx can do car routing (with the right software), while the Earthmate can do routing it does a pretty poor job of it. Garmin just came out with a new handheld unit (the Colorado) but it has some major firmware issues right now, so I would hold off on that one for now. Though when it does get fixed it will be an amazing unit for Geocaching. You can export caches directly to the unit from the website. Not just the coords but the Colorado also has a section for storing and displaying cache page information right on the unit. Quote
