Del Parson's Painting of Christ question
Hemidakota replied to TrueNightingale's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Read the last post Suzie. Both ways. It really doesn't matter but the pattern of seeing such a person is always the same discription. How about you? They do and so do all of us receive revelatory moments the same way by the means of the Holy Ghost most of the time. Yet, GOD is not a respecter of persons. It is up to the FATHER in determining how, why, and when it is done. Some people think, President Snow, leading Apostle, while leaving the Celestial Room after ponderous prayer and waiting for an answer after the death of the prophet, encountered the Lord for the first time in the hallway in the temple. It simply wasn't the first time President Snow witnessed the Savior but confirming his calling as a prophet of the church. What is the difference how they receive it than you or me? There is no different. What is a truism, He will appear when you least not expected. Regards to further revelations, it is up to the Lord in giving any member a personal witness in a way He feels it is better conveyed to the member. Never expect your vision or dream, will always be the same way others receive a personal witness. But again, never assume, if you have not receive it, others have not receive it. That is pure nonsense and lacking of faith in the Savior to make His appearance known among His flock. -

In asking, why not, I did. I would even approach a child, who purity and faith is greater than what I am seeing here, would testify of meeting the Savior in person; even GOD the FATHER. Now, that is coming from a child. We have High Priests, Elders, and even Sisters, who yet, to accomplish such an event. Why not? A child can do it, why can they? Is that foolish? Not likely. Regards to Apostleship, be assured, it will be done prior or after the calling is given. What a person will see, a sweet tender moment in a talk given by one of the brethren, pay close attention to the closure when the brethren testify of the Savior. If one is attuned to the Spirit, you will feel the emotion and impact of his witness of the divine Son of GOD. They will testify by assertion. Wingnut, it is not foolish at all. -

Ask them! If not, read their journals when it becomes available. However, I am cautious to add, there are members who are not the brethren, even on this forum, have also witness the Savior. Collected information does help. Suzie, do you believe, any apostle can be an apostle without being a witness of the Master? -
Using my own experience, being a prodigal son of FATHER, I am glad that my home teacher, who would make unannounced visitation on a weekend, he just be there. I will always remember those encounters and his smiling face and some helpful moments together. There was no need to be with the whole family, since visiting teacher covered the family. How was this done? We had communality, it was on automobiles. He worked for the Nissan Corporation and my passion for the ‘need for speed’. So, I would never give up but find his passions and worked with that agenda instead. In other words, be his friend and not his minister.

Not likely...why is that, what was the descriptor that Nephi gave in the Book of Mormon for Mary? Not only that, let us stop wasting so much energy with the speculation and seek real truths versus fables of men. If you truly want to know what the Lord really look like, ask Him. [being harsh for the Savior] Seeking information from Snow or even the Discovery Channel, you will not find it. -

Clinton: The rich aren't paying their fair share

It has nothing to do with partism but follow the same Joseph Smith statement, less government involvement. Talking about the oil rig, you might to investigate the failure of the government inspection program for off shore rigs. The owner of the oil rig is responsible for the rig maintenance. However, this reminds me of the cheaply built government levees in New Orleans. No different. But we blame everyone else but who really was the cause of it. -
Would Jesus feel welcome in our ward/church?
Hemidakota replied to prisonchaplain's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Let me share something valuable as a teaching tool for others who have not experience this yet. Talking with a teenage sister of the church, through conversation, she asked a question concerning her unique vision/dream she had concerning the time to come of great calamities. Appearing next to her was a ministering spirit, who was instructing her concerning events to come to this land and her role in it. When she was taken to this very lofty building to view what was coming of the world [America] by this ministering spirit, she stated, this Nephite appeared in the doorway that leads to a building top. His status was bigger than the door width and height standing next to it. I quizzed her for a description. She described him as wearing a two piece suite and cleanly shaven with groomed dark hair. As the Nephite walked through the doorway, he had to turn and duck under the top jam. She went to explain what was shown to her by this Nephite. I asked her, how do you know it was a Nephite, she told me, it was a prompting from the ministering spirit gave her. I won’t give the rest of the event since it was between the Nephite and her, but what was unique experience she happen to look back to see who was the ministering spirit. This is rarely done for most people to see who it is. But she recognizes the person and the rest is history. Here is a glorified being; [white robe, glory that surpasses our own written language, no shoes, standing in the air, with long white hair] same caliber of being that was sent to minister to Joseph Smith. She now knows who her ministering spirit or angel is. This again, is a rarity and not usual known. The Nephite who came to reveal the future was not wearing any white robe but a normal two piece suite. Not strange at all the way I look at it. :) -

I will be at my friend’s ward who is currently serving in the Bishopric. I want to give my testimony and my gratitude for him, with listening to the Spirit on that 1st of July night in preserving my life through the priesthood. I felt something was wrong when I posted it in the morning in 2008, having many spiritual awakening moments from the Holy Ghost and others across the veil. When night came, I felt unusual pain in the head, the neck, and upper back. Then the pressure grew worst with the sac around the heart to the point it was choking the heart itself. It didn’t help me with blood thickening beyond normality [3.5 mlg vice .5mlg] in the veins and arteries. Aid of my son, who felt helpless as my beloved companion cried out when I began to grasp for air and knew it was a matter of time of relapsing, he ran down the street to one of my friend’s home. He came straight over immediately and gave me a blessing. No more than a couple of minutes I could breathe again. Sadly, the paramedics arrived after the fact. They felt surprise to see such fast recovery. Not only that, after talking to him, he felt the impression of the Spirit in not going to bed or getting undress. He stated, it felt weird for him to receive such impression. But, nevertheless, he complied to the promptings. Amazing member of the church/ Three days latter, left the hospital and as presiding president, was attending church again as nothing had happened. Again, I will be spending that Sunday at his ward, giving thanks to this man’s insight in listening to the Spirit. What is important to GOD, should be more important to us for any given Sunday.

What is coming first is church cleansing. However, through great calamities and penitence, I expect the church to grow more than three folds than what it is currently at. -
Boehner to Bush-Bashing Beatle: Apologize!?

I guess you haven't seen the Bio channel on Beatles history. Quite an eye opener for me... -
Listening to Coast-To-Coast radio on the way to work this morning, it was quite an 'eye opener' to what people believe with the afterlife and how souls are created. Even to the point of when they began taling about reincarnation, I had to switch channels on the radio. :)

Andrea, welcome to the forum. Curious, what did you graduate from?

I was hit head on and can attest, if you are experiencing pain now, there is something bigger here that needs attention. My mistake but then I am different and usually don't sue people for their careless mistakes, I did not go after the insurance company and the other driver. As Ben stated, seek an attorney. You may need it later as things develop for the worst.

Adding clarity here, even in the highest kingdom, there is but one state that truly offers eternal progression. Not all in the church will receive it unless they receive it by the same methods that Joseph receives it. As there is no temple sealing guarantee anyone of us unless who heard it from the Godhead or their assigned servant directly. Even the 144,000 chosen, they were already High Priest ordained but require the final heavenly seal by the Lord servants before going out into the world doing the world wide calamities. They are called because of their purity and humility before GOD. This measurement is not an outward appearance but follows the same internal measurement we seen in [King] David’s day when called to be the King over Israel.

Would Jesus feel welcome in our ward/church?
Hemidakota replied to prisonchaplain's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
He does and can do it...as we can do the same before others. Even those who are translated can suppress their glory before men[women]. This is why the brethren keep telling us to live closer to the Spirit. We simply don't know who the servants of GOD are and who are not without the aid of the Spirit. -

I agree...even if Christ would come to a local ward, clean shaven and two piece suit, how many people would easily recognize Him? It would require for their eyes to be open and the living closer to the Spirit in seeing Him. The Jewish leadership, with a fake king and theological clergy knew who the Savior was. There is was no excuse for them or anyone should make an attempt to hide this open shame before GOD. They are justifiable judge even upon the cross when the true King of Judah, could not forgive them for this open shame. Asking for forgiveness was not for them but what GOD shall bring to this land ‘forty years’ later. -
Is there any human skeleton that any of these people can assimilate into a person from a previous world? Not a bone, not a skeleton. Like you, first flesh was the Adams; I rather pay attention to GOD’s servants who were first-hand witness than speculators or man-made fables.

No, it would violate the principle of ressurection. Animals and lesser lives are do not fall under the same guidelines as humanity.

I had to take amoment before replying after a tearful moment with the first young daughter in the classroom. Nothing is so grand to see children and a parent meeting after a long absent.
