thats what i did lakumi: Just walked in the church, and all alse followed...the sister missionaries spotted me and came to talk with me. I was living at home but an adult, but from a different culture where people in my house hold werent christen..so I had the lesson's in member's homes..when my dad found out he was somewhat hurt, but not mad and didnt disown me.... You can be the pioneer in your own family and with your friends....Yes you can be happy out of the church...but to have totally happiness, lasting happiness peace and joy even in hard times and extremely hard times well God has shown us the way...It's by following His gospel....by trying and striving.

hello poetic, welcome aboard. Were glad that your here! There are many here that will help you. But the best thing to do is invite the missionaries over and or go to one of our meetinghouse's close by you. a good website to look at is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and there are places on line where u can also talk with missionaries..... Wishing you the best in your search for truth...It's a wonderful journey...

I was almost 21 when I joined I am now old enough to be your mother . You should call the missionaries up make and apt with them to come and teach u, if u still live at home u can arrange to have the lessons in a members house. And go to church services all this will help you. pray for your parents to not be upset or mad, and to understand your an adult and u can choice for yourself. If u desided to get baptisted ask ur parents to come. most of us come from different faiths, cultures, and background...its all good. Heavenly Father loves us all. U can lead your family with love and kindness and respect...I know that you willl love the Church It is His church he set up originally when he was on the earth. It has been restored it is His gospel. To have His gospel and be a member will bring you much happiness, joy, peace in this world, and forever.

Heavenly Father loves all of us, and He has this wonderful plan called the plan of salvation/the plan of happiness and in this wonderful plan all is taken care off all will hear His word and have the oppunity to join if they wish. Remember life is eternal that means we are eternal, that means we were before and are now and will be as time goes on. The gospel is all good. Take the time out to learn and study you can go to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you can talk to missionaries on line, you can be brave and walk into a Lds meeting house and take the lessons thats what I did. Search, seek, ponder and pray..and ask... now your comment on ignorant people/cultures? No one is ignorant and different cultures are wonderful God loves all.....

Hello and welcome nice to have you here.....

im not going to take the time to finish reading this. But I wish everyone happiness, theirs nothing wrong with that. you can dislike the sin but its not up to us to judge but love the person no matter what the sin or sins might be. So I would probably congradulate them...why not...there not married in the sight of God only in the land of the law..Again we are not to judge, for we dont understand all....

Ankh, Hi and welcome back to the faith(the fold)...Hope that you learn and grow in the faith and stay strong all your days. Life is a journey, and we are blessed to have the Gospel...even though we dont understand it all. Jehovah of the old testament is Jesus. If I remember right Yahweh is another word for Jahovah who is Jesus Elohim is God, Heavenly Father. I hope I didnt mess u up, for Im not sure what you are really asking....

That sounds cool pam, did u sing??? Now 50k friends knew you were popular but not that popular. Who is Kelly Clarkson a famous LDS singer?? a few of our wards in our stake had our tradional pancake breakfast the men cook, the boy scouts do the raising of the flag, we sing songs, mingle and clean up and go home...afterwards I went swimming , then went visiting some newly baptised people, and in the evening went driving towards the beach to see the fireworks got caught in bumper to bumper traffic but had fun anyway.....hope u all had a safe and happy 4th of July.

Somebody please explain seat saving in church?
Roseslipper replied to Bananikka's topic in General Discussion
this is done id asume all over the world. i think its wrong as well. once after not going to church for along time i came early enough to sit were i wnted back row last row in the pews no one was sitting there but the seats where taken. well they gave me the right excuse to just leave.so i did. it is wrong. i was told people do that if the come early for meetings to save seats for there families. @our stake conferance seats can only be saved 5min to the hr if seats r saved and still being saved u can take them. but again i dont think seats should be saved a all no one is more important then me nor am i more important then anyone alse.- 47 replies

nick40 i see u are on. polygamy started in the old testament days I believe with Abraham so yes in the early days of the gospel and continued until the land of the law made it illegal, we believe in obeying the land of the law. SOmetimes we dont understand things, doesnt make it wrong, it is good that you are asking questions, seek, keep an open mind and learn And pray about it, or anything alse but keep a open mind and listen and feel for the Spirit to testify if this is right. anyone can tell u anything this is true, So go to God in prayer and ask Him if what we are, or anyone is saying is true.
