I think its wonderful that u desided to be a missionary and serve the Lord and others. You will be a instrument in bring others much happiness by sharing the most important messages of all (the Gospel). PLus we need more sister missionaries in the field. Sister Missionarys rock!! Sorry brothers Im a little prejustist here. Sisters just seem to be able to show love more imho and so forth But Elders are awesome too.

Volley Ball seems to be a favorite, how about Ysa fhe, Pot luck dinner, movie night @ the chapel, or even at a movie house, going bowling. Ysa need to socialize if they dont find it in the church they will go looking for it in all the wrong places. firesites, ask them what they would like to do...??? service projects...and so on and so on.....good luck, you can do it, dont get discourage if not many show up, it might take time to build it, but it will be worth it....!! -

JUst make it a homey room, a quiet room, were you feel peace, love, kindness and the spirit, no yelling allowed, no negitive things in that room, a happy room, a happy home. If you want u can put a picture Of the Savior up. A picture of the temple.Thats the way our homes should be. Have fun now, enjoy!!

keep trying jeff dont give up on the Lord dont give up on you!! Many of us feel that there are people in the church who are so much better then ourself. This is wrong. we are no better then anyone alse, no ones better then you as well. We just might be in the church longer. my advice is to strive to keep going to church on sundays, get active go to church functions, get to know the people in your ward. believe it or not they need you just as much as you need them.Dont be afraid to smile at others, shake their hands, and talk with them. were all on different levels spirutually and thats ok. I use to be shy more a intervert then extravert, but being a member of the church has helped me over come this. You have felt the spirit when u read the bom thats great. Strive to push yourself to go to church, join in the activites, smile and shake peoples hand, get to know the people in your ward. And continue to learn and grow. Do u have hometeachers, if not tell the bishop, or if u want to talk with the bishop his door is always welcome. Theresalways themissionarys too. When u joined the church you were adopted into this wonderful church you have many brothers and sisters too, they need u, just like u need them. Prayer is very important so strive to pray daily, scripture reading is important. Get involved with your ward not just on SundAys, but at other activites as well. Mingle even if its hard, soon it will become easier

After Divorce Burnout...
Roseslipper replied to jassygirl's topic in Marriage and Relationship Advice
First I like to say hello and welcome, I know how hard it must be on you, divorce is not easy, the church is very family orientated and your kids are leaving the nest. It might be getting hard cause the kids are starting to leave that empty nest thing is going on. You see yourself getting older and being alone. It might be scarey.I dont think any of us want to be alone. It sucks. My gf married but her kids are leaving as well, which is a good thing its good to see them become adults. She went to a couselor to just have some one to talk with it did help her, she didnt go for that long, but it was nice to just talk to some1 and know she wasnt being judged. As far as maybe not feeling in at church. It can be hard to be single or divorced in a married or family church, but know that you are wanted and needed. Please keep going, reAd the scriptures, go to activities, maybe get active make friends, service others. Prayer for the Lords help. Mingle, go to single activities, Do all u can do, stay close to God. strive to keep the commandments. If you want another man pray for a good one and who knows u might be blessed with one. If your not keep on growing spiritually, your most important relationship is with GOd.dont let Satan get you cause he wants u to be out of the church he wants u to be miserable, unhappy, sad, down, dont let him win. Hold on to GOd, build that testamony, learn a new hobby. Be happy. -
My advice is to just prepare yourself do the things you need to do, talking with the bishop is great. Get yourself ready for a temple marriage, at this time in your life just date this guy, have clean cut fun, its ok to date others as well, just let him know u r and he should let u know. Dating can be alot of fun, dating teaches us alot about ourselves, it also helps us to realize what things we are willing to put up with and what things were not in a future spouce. First love is fun, exciting but some times its just puppy love, thou sometimes its real love. when it comes down to knowing if hes the one weight out the pros and cons make a dession Oh i wish i could spell haha, But most important sincerely pray about it and listen and keep praying, the person we choice to marry could make our lives wonderful, but theres always struggles, hardships to work out. On the other hand the person we chose can make our lives a living hell. You dont want that no one does. I too dont believe someone should get married til 24, I think we need the chance to grow up to know ourselves more. inmo. but It does happen and some of them are wonderful marriage and others are not. So trust in the Lord. is the best way.
