  1. And because you need to be more obedient.
  2. How old are you? What you're saying makes no sense. Your statement that our priesthood holders may lose the spirit of the sacrament over an "exposed breast" shows a total lack of maturity over the NATURAL act of breastfeeding. I said is ridiculous because in your mind, the lady is not feeding her baby but simply pulling out a boob when clearly the person who opened the thread said she covers herself when she feeds her child. I hope you was bottle fed as a child because clearly you're either too young to understand the concept of what breastfeeding is about or there are some other issues. I don't pretend that the "concept" does not exist, what I am saying is if anyone gets turn on by seeing a woman breastfeeding a baby, the issue is not with the woman but with the person. They need some therapy.
  3. Hi Mormonmusic. Are you and your wife in the same page with regards to discipline? I ask because most times, kids are masters at manipulation and if they see both of you are not in the same page they will pull whatever strings in order to get attention. However, yes I think they are bored and they are quite young. Does your wife work from home as well? If she stays home, it would be nice if she can plan daily activities for them, including serving oriented ones so the burden won't be so much on your shoulders. I think activities that TEACH kids the importance of being grateful (service) to someone in need and where their hearts can be soften by seeing someone being happy about a service THEY render, can help mitigate the problems with fighting.
  4. Tackle the problem by attacking the employers. They won't be here unless someone is willing to hire them. Having said that, I am against illegal immigration.
  5. Elgama, a few music videos that really, really help me to go trough the day. Let me know if they help: Pay attention to the words of these songs. I hope it helps you. LOTS of love! Suzie
  6. Hi Elgama. I'm sorry that you are going through some hard times, not sure how to help without knowing what's happening to you but sometimes all I need when I am going through really hard times is to cry, pour out my heart to Heavenly Father and talk about it with a loved one.
  7. Sure, we may take it through PM. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
  8. Actually I agree with you and your position on steady dating for young people. However, are you suggesting that all the statements from General Authorities are commandments from Heavenly Father?
  9. Wow. Are the General Authorities better than him? Ummm...he is a member just like you and me. He (like anyone else) can question anything he wants. Last time I checked, we are not slaves in a cult called Mormonism. Geez. For the person who opened the thread: Do what you think is right by receiving guidance from Heavenly Father and your desire to serve a mission. Listen to the words of counsel given to you and take everything into consideration. :)
  10. Oh I see. Well, let me be honest and express what I think. Of course, it is mainly my OPINION. I don't know you or your mother. It seems to me that she knows how you feel about her issues with modesty and the clothes she buys for you and your sister as well as her thoughts about money. So here the issue is for her to want to change. You cannot change her, you may be able to influence her by expressing how you feel without causing a fight however, keep in mind that she may never do. I know it may be hurtful, but you're now an adult. For me, it was a mistake to move back to your home because at least when you was away you did not have to deal with these issues firsthand. However, it was noble of you to want to help her and your family, it shows great love and concern for them. The deal is that she is married, a big woman and will take her own decisions and won't allow anyone else to interfere so please do not stay thinking that all of the sudden she will change dramatically, most of the time it does not happen that way. If I was in your shoes, I would move out and your sister will have to wait until she is legally an adult to do the same IF your mother chooses not to respect your values. It's really not about disagreeing with them but RESPECTING them. God bless.
  11. So because a few people have complained about it, she has to heed to his council in how and where she should feed her own child? Priesthood holders losing the spirit of the sacrament because a MOTHER IS FEEDING her child? Ridiculous.
  12. Come on guys...policy on breastfeeding??? BREAST MILK is the FOOD for the baby! Do we need a policy whether it states if is right or not to feed a baby? My goodness, I think here in the US we are ridiculously prude about breastfeeding...it is funny considering we are in a society OBSESSED with BREASTS. In my opinion, the Bishop has no right to ask you to STOP FEEDING your child in sacrament meeting. I can tell you one thing, if he tells me that (or anyone for that matter) I would say that those who are bothered about breastfeeding in public, they are probably STARING TOO MUCH.
  13. Some questions before I share my opinion: 1. How old are you and your sister? 2. Are you financially independent or does your mom pay for everything?
  14. I read the book already and again I don't recall talking about it but maybe my memory is failing me so please expand if you can, thanks. Who? Hmmmmm I think you are confusing me with someone else?
  15. I read the link but I did not see anything about flavored coffee ice cream unless you think is ungodly? I read the Miracle of Forgiveness many years ago, I don't recall what it says about coffee flavored ice cream. Would you mind to expand? Thanks.
  16. Ahhh but I asked your personal opinion. :)
  17. Not sure who is Elphaba but I hope it's a good thing. And if is not, is all good. :)
  18. Do you think that's the case with flavored coffee ice cream?
  19. As Mormons we can really focus on small things at times when missing the HUGE ones eh.

    World cup

Poor Donovan it was probably his last world cup? He is almost 30.
  21. I see what you are saying. Well, I hope you did not take my answer as trying to think your question is stupid because I truly don't think it is and yes, I agree that some of the replies you got were a little defensive (in my opinion) AND I also agree with your last comments, if you check some of my replies here you will see we think alike in that aspect. However, I am curious as to what would be the ideal solution? What is your proposal? Would you like the Church to offer all these items for free, etc? Thanks for answering in advance.
  22. The only issue I see are those who use church directories for example that was given to them because of their calling (and for CHURCH PURPOSES ONLY) to promote their own business/pyramid scheme. That's plain wrong.
  23. Touché. I was referring to medical attention for this child that seem to have a mental illness. I believe it's a decision of the mother and the father.
