  1. Do you think that's the case with flavored coffee ice cream?
  2. As Mormons we can really focus on small things at times when missing the HUGE ones eh.

    World cup

Poor Donovan it was probably his last world cup? He is almost 30.
  4. I see what you are saying. Well, I hope you did not take my answer as trying to think your question is stupid because I truly don't think it is and yes, I agree that some of the replies you got were a little defensive (in my opinion) AND I also agree with your last comments, if you check some of my replies here you will see we think alike in that aspect. However, I am curious as to what would be the ideal solution? What is your proposal? Would you like the Church to offer all these items for free, etc? Thanks for answering in advance.
  5. The only issue I see are those who use church directories for example that was given to them because of their calling (and for CHURCH PURPOSES ONLY) to promote their own business/pyramid scheme. That's plain wrong.
  6. Touché. I was referring to medical attention for this child that seem to have a mental illness. I believe it's a decision of the mother and the father.
  7. Ummm...the child in question has a biological father.
  8. Perplexed, your step daughter truly sounds bi-polar, particularly also the fact that her father is bipolar. It is not her fault. She needs to be evaluated right away and medicated. Things CAN get better. This isn't really a issue where grandparents should be involved, this is an issue where her mother and biological father should get together and agree on this. IF the father does not want to do it, I am pretty sure there must be a legal way to get the child evaluated.
  9. Joseph F. Smith gave all the royalties of one his books to LDS Genealogical Society and LeGrand Richards didn't accept any royalties from one his famous books. The GA have the choice of giving it to charity, keep the money or simply reject it. We don't know what they do with their earnings, so it's a little unfair to speculate that the only possibility is that they are keeping it.
  10. Personally, I don't have issues with a lot of things he says (maybe a few but not even worth debating). It is his style or the way he delivers whatever he wants to say that I personally don't like and find it annoying. Add to that the tears (for the ratings or not, I don't know) and I just turn off the TV or change the channel. I don't feel his style is genuine and before anyone jumps at me for this, this is MY personal perception.
  11. You mean, you support his political views? That's great. Now from THAT to say that the Lord's hand is behind him is a long walk my friend.
  12. Thanks for saying that. The way it is written can give that impression and bring the opposite effect. I don't know now but years ago this book was a no-no for missionaries in the field.
  13. I fail to see the reasoning behind that statement.
  14. Of course being skinny does not mean being healthy but how many folks would love to eat anything they want, as much as they want and not put a pound?
  15. Thanks, I'm aware of that. My comment wasn't targeted towards his weight (because I don't believe weight really measures how healthy someone is, you can be very slim and still fill your body with junk and be unhealthy) but towards a restricted diet that diabetics must follow.
  16. If Pres. Monson is diabetic then he probably has/should have a very strict diet.
  17. It's simple. BOTH, women and men need to pay child support. NO special treatments for anyone! If they don't...throw them in jail. Kids need to eat, that isn't a choice!
  18. I think people in general (and we can put kids as examples) tend to do good when they know there is a reward there waiting at the end. Granted, it would be nice for people to do the right thing out of love for Jesus Christ and their fellowmen, that's the ideal...Unfortunately, not everyone have reached that level of both love and spirituality. I suppose we are all a work in progress.
  19. MagenEric, it seems to me that you BOTH need some counseling, psychological to help you guys deal with your past and present issues as well as medical help for BOTH for alcoholism. The Church have both programs. You should contact your Bishop right away.
  20. Not sure why is it an issue for some folks in and outside the Church to imagine Jesus not looking "white". One could argue as well that those who claim to have visions (other than Prophets) and those who had NDE for example could have been largely influenced by the paintings of Jesus they have encountered their whole life so they "see" Jesus looking pretty much like these paintings. Just some food for thought.
  21. Geez! I should have search for his posts first... So during the whole 2010 Steve gets a red and black and some yellow snake in his house, finds out he is adopted, got fired because his boss wanted him to spy his wife and now he is getting death threats in an IRC chat room for some silly characters that they supposed to represent Muhammad???? Sorry too much for me... I am gone.
  22. No..no...no! The death threats are NOT to be justified at all, it is wrong of course! (let me clarify that!). What I would like to know though is how the whole thing escalated to such point and what was the purpose of Steve's "interpretation" of Muhammad.
