I don't believe it refers to an actual spirit, but more of a descriptive term. Without looking at the chapter, I believe the woman had had a physical infirmity, and Jesus healed her. I don't remember Him casting any spirits out of her.

If you are in a place in your life where you think you may need assistance, make an appointment with your bishop who will help you determine your needs. Remember, it is better to go before things spin so far out of control that you become a burden on him or the system in place, or so late that he cannot help you. Sometimes if things are brought up soon enough, employment or education specialists may be asked to help you find better options before food or money assistance is needed.

The obvious answer is: your own. when you start picking other peoples' seats, trouble may be brewing.

Is it possible to be sealed to my deceased fiance?
john doe replied to PANDA1972's topic in Marriage and Relationship Advice
I have never heard of it happening. As painful as it may be to hear now, you may receive advice to try to move on with your life and find another worthy woman suitable to be sealed to in this earth life. The problem is, a lot can happen to a live couple who are in love between engagement and marriage, that can end those plans. Who is to say for certain that an engagement that ended when one party died was destined or ordained to end at the alter? I know that sounds harsh, but many engagements do end before they are consummated, for a variety of reasons. -
Nope. Although I will admit that as I get older, John Denver's music does get less irritating.

Seeing as how the earthquake occurred on Friday, it's not like you were out of the loop very long.

I have to say, both my watch and my clock that get signals from the Atomic Clock worked perfectly last night. That's two less for me to have to adjust manually.

You want a list? That would take too long and likely would include most of your posts on this thread. Again, you will get a more fulfilling discussion if you would stop telling LDS what you think we believe, and instead ask us what we believe. You might think you have been doing that, but a quick re-read of the thread indicates differently to me.

Now you're just being silly. Before replying again, I highly suggest you read the site rules, a link to which can be found at the top of this page. Please pay extra attention to rules #1 and #6, which you are pushing the limits on already. And if a warning to keep your posts within the rules really upsets you that much, you probably should seek the help of a professional in the mental health field. You may just be too emotionally fragile to interact with us, or anyone on the internet for that matter. -

Yes, but Christian IS a stand-alone option in the profile settings. Unless the OP didn't bother to read the other options, it is curious that he would choose the one that included LDS as his religion. -
Our ward sent a missionary to the MTC called to Tokyo this week. I don't know if this disaster will affect when or where he will be going in-country.

I've watched Outsourced occasionally, but I don't think that's a very good representation of Bollywood, so I would have to say no, it hasn't caught on with me.

So..... you're not LDS, yet you put that down as your religion? Why, may I ask, did you choose to do that? Did you think you would gain legitimacy in discussion by putting that in there? Also as a warning, I gotta say, your last line there signals to me and others a lot about what your agenda here might be. It sends up all kinds of red flags to moderators when someone comes in and starts talking about bombs and flames and bashing and debating right from the start. Generally their time here does not end well or last long. I hope you prove me wrong, and you will get your chance to do so, but so far I am not impressed. -
Okay boys and girls, let's try to keep this civil. And Steve, you are not going to gain points with moderators or members of the LDS Church by coming here as a catholic trying to tell us what we believe. We probably have a better understanding of that than you think you do. It would behoove you to ask more questions and pontificate less when it comes to our beliefs.

I'm pretty sure neither of them are over 60.

How come mine doesn't say 'Satan's Censor'? I specifically asked for that designation.

Quit whining about chat. Constant complaints about the same thing could be violations of rule #6.

3 that popped into my mind: 1- Love Stinks-- J. Geils band 2- Love Hurts--- Nazareth 3- Whiskey Drinkin' Woman--- also by Nazareth You're welcome, I took a whole 30 seconds out of my day to compile this list exclusively for you two.
-
So what exactly are you implying?
-
My, aren't we just a big complainer?
-
Both. There is no need to choose between them.

Tell them it's volcanic ash from Krakatoa.

Yeah, but was he folding his arms or grabbing the pulpit at the time? That would have put it over the top if his arms weren't folded.
