My wife and daughter introduced this to me the other day.  I need to point out one bit of data that I'm sure someone is going to use to criticize this position.
The Dobbs decision was NOT on June 26th.  It was June 24th.  But it should be pointed out that SCOTUS doesn't normally conduct business on weekends.  This past year, the 26th landed on a Sunday.  The 24th was the closest Friday to the 26th.
Apart from that, I couldn't find any substantive problem with anything he said.
In a weird way, this actually promotes hope.  The altars of evil are being broken.  We cannot solve our current problems simply by getting the right people into political office.  While we cannot do it without that piece of the puzzle, the majority of the puzzle is to turn our hearts towards God.
There are more with us than than there are with them.  And I ain't just talking about those beyond the veil.  There are more of us than with them in the United States.  There are more of us than there are with them in the entire world.  We just need to remember to focus on spiritual strength rather than political strength.  And that is the change in mindset we need to make.

To put it bluntly, I am at this point pretending that the Disney-era productions don't exist.
The franchise has been so badly mismanaged, and Disney in such a shambles, that it's hard for me to feel excited because there's no guarantee anything will actually survive very long.
I mean... Episode 8 collapses with the question of "Where were the B-Wings?".

Yeah. You really can't worry about things you don't understand. There's so much I don't understand. But we don't need to understand everything. We only need to know the Church is true*. The rest comes line upon line in God's time. And most of that we may not really ever understand in this life.
*This goes hand in hand with knowing Jesus is the Christ.

People responding this way to the idea of "outward appearance" strikes me as pretty short-sighted.
The Lord looks upon the heart...and how we interact with outward appearance is an indication of the state of our heart (as most things are).
Obviously if one is concerned with outward appearance in terms of pride, then it's based on a prideful heart, which the Lord looks upon unfavorably. Obviously, if one is concerned with outward appearance in terms of humility, then it's based on a humble heart, which the Lord looks upon favorably.

Aircraft have strict altitude requirements for flight, with airlanes typically thousands of feet in altitude and minimum operating altitudes around cities of something like a thousand feet above the highest point or obstacle in the area. I imagine delivery drones fly at an altitude of no more than a few hundred feet. I also assume that drones will not be allowed anywhere near airfields, so there will probably be no overlap between the airspaces where the two types of vehicles/devices operate.

Mike Pence is hardly a conservative’s conservative.  And he did have the right to not accept the results of the election that day.  His job was to make that decision, and it’s been proven since then that the election was stolen.  As for things Trump said that day, there was absolutely nothing he said that would have put Pence’s family in danger.  I watched his speech at the Capitol, and Trump specifically said to protest peacefully.  Anyone who says otherwise either didn’t watch his speech or is a liar, or both.
It proved that they worship Trump and don’t care at all about conservatism.
It proves that some people still fall for the anti-Trump rhetoric rather than think critically for themselves.

@Just_A_Guy I was going to say something similar.
Actually what I was going to say was more along the lines that protesting is STUPID!
    I hate it. It's not a fine American tradition. It's a childish hippy-inspired get-a-life activity.
I can be forgiving of those who believe it's a good idea though. Barely.
That being said...if anything ever deserved protesting, it's drag shows for kids.
But I fully agree that there are better, appropriate, and correct ways to affect change that should never involve marching in circles with signs or the like.
There's a flaw with just calling something hateful though. The plain fact is that I do, very much, hate drag shows for kids. I mean I hate drag shows for adults too. But especially for kids. But the narrative is that must mean I hate the individuals involved...or even worse, it implies I wish them harm. (That's also a relative word, because if it means going to jail for exposing sexual things to children, then I do wish that upon them...but if it means physical beatings or death, I do not. Of course calling something hateful always implies the latter).
But the greater flaw is the equation you're making. It's buying into the lefty woke-mob logic. They would like to have us believe that protesting a bunch of dudes dressed up as over sexualized women, doing crude and suggesting things in front of children, is exactly equivalent to protesting missionaries. But it's not. I expect Putin would have us all believe that his invasion of Ukraine was exactly equivalent to the Allies invading Germany at the end of WWII. Or the people who claim putting up a Satanic display next to a manger scene at Christmas is exactly equivalent.
We do not have to accept those types of claims.

It's important to note when discussing unemployment rates that the size of the willing workforce matters.   Unemployment rates will drop when people leave the workforce, but that doesn't mean that actual employment rates are up.   It's a shell game.

Agreed.  This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the show.  I enjoy it, but they often take certain liberties that I don’t think are appropriate.  One thing that bothered my wife and I is when they had an episode where Mary Magdalene relapsed to her previous lifestyle prior to getting healed by Jesus.  Now, there is nothing to suggest that Mary Magdalene did such a thing.  That’s one reason why her change was such a miracle.   The justification by the writers of the show for her relapse was to show that we all repent and fall again.  While that is often the case, I disagree with taking a historical person, who is known for her miraculous change, and making it less…miraculous.  She was a devoted follower of Jesus.

Right. I just struggle with that because of all the teaching we do have about protecting ourselves from Satan...you know...putting on the whole armor of God, etc. But it's all secretly meaningless? We're constantly taught how to protect ourselves, and the ideas you're proposing as potential via the questioning require the consideration that such teachings aren't actually meaningful. I just can't quite get on board with that, even at the level of questioning it.
I firmly believe that putting on the whole armor of God protects us. It's really that simple for me.

That sounds scarily like an actual Hollywood proposal. Among other things, I think this shows just how formulaic Hollywood ideas are. (Except the title "Gorillas in the 'Burbs" ain't gonna cut it. Maybe "Picking Fleas and Flicking Peas".)

I asked it to write a plot for a sitcom.
Jedi_Nephite: Write a sitcom about a family of gorillas living in the suburbs.

    Title: "Gorillas in the 'Burbs"
The show follows the adventures of the Silverback family, a group of gorillas who have escaped from the zoo and are now living in a suburban neighborhood. The patriarch of the family, Harold, is a strict but loving father who just wants his family to blend in with their human neighbors. His wife, Gladys, is a nurturing mother who is constantly trying to keep Harold's more wild impulses in check.
Their children include teenage daughter, Tina, who is trying to navigate the complexities of high school while also keeping her gorilla heritage a secret, and son, Louie, a mischievous young gorilla who is always getting into trouble.
Each episode finds the Silverback family facing new challenges as they try to fit in with their human neighbors while also retaining their gorilla instincts. Whether it's Harold struggling to control his temper during a neighborhood barbecue, Gladys trying to find a way to get Tina to the prom without revealing her true identity, or Louie getting into a fight with the neighborhood bullies, the Silverback family always sticks together and finds a way to make it work.
At the end of each episode, the family gathers around the dinner table to share their latest adventures and reflect on the importance of family and sticking together, no matter what.
"Gorillas in the 'Burbs" is a comedy that blends heartwarming family moments with wild, slapstick humor, and is sure to have audiences laughing and rooting for the Silverback family every step of the way.

I wouldn’t say the charges of harlotry are completely baseless.  She was obviously spiritually disturbed.  “Out of whom went seven devils” means that Jesus cast seven demons out of her.  That only happens to those who are far removed from the spirit.  That being said, because Jesus healed her, she regained the opportunity to become an “unusually virtuous person.”  Her past didn’t matter anymore, as she made a firm decision to become a disciple of Christ.

I think the idea would have been fine if they would have used a fictional character instead of a historical figure.
