  1. LMBO. Due to the restraining order @pam has to stay 501 feet away from me. I’m unsure as to where her location is at this time.
  2. Okay…so we have an extra ticket. Any takers?
  3. Uh, okay. Four Arizona Diamondbacks tickets. Suite. All food and drinks included. And, you have to invite @pam and @NeuroTypical. No @mirkwood, we have some standards. 😉
  4. Lol! When I messed up as a kid that was my big fear too. What? The death penalty? Sure, just don’t let my parents find out!
  5. All excellent points. I still cringe when people go for the “shoot first ask questions later” type posts. I get it, protect your family, but of it’s just stupid kids, then blowing them away might not be the best choice.
  6. No worries, I’m the one who believed it!!! Lol. 🤣 and you owe me a Pepsi bro!
  7. what was it like having a grandpa who was a GA?
  8. Was it just sophomoric kids or street thugs looking to break in?
  9. That’s what I always heard as well.
  10. That’s all legit. And very interesting. I’m someone who grew up so far away from mormonism that I don’t think I ever even saw a missionary in person until I was in college. I remember seeing President Hinckley on Larry King and the PR work he did (not an insult, what else can you call it?) in the 90’s. Wasn’t he trying to bring the church outside of Utah in into the rest of the world? Didn’t the Olympics help do that? And your final point is dead on. SLC had an out lesbian as mayor (they still might?) and hasn’t really been aligned with LDS values for decades now. Was that due to the olympics or just secularization?
  11. doesn't mean you were right either. If SLC is chosen for a major league team, the city will be just fine. Baseball fans who want to see major league action won’t have to go to Denver or LA. But I sort of doubt baseball is that big out there due to the snow. Is it big out there? You can’t play for like half the year!
  12. Let me write that one down. That was a net negative for the city? I’m all for expansion in any city they can get. Vegas? Sure. Charlotte? Sure. Nashville? Sure. Salt Lake City? Sure.
  13. Hope things work out for you. I met a GA years ago and he was super nice. His last name was Perkins and we laughed about a joke I made during his talk. Nice guy.
  14. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/36169718/salt-lake-city-group-joins-mlb-expansion-chase?fbclid=IwAR3t-xkC44gWbmZ82a9JzYrQaY35jXQecLsM3Gj--XqWKSVCAwYarNUwgsA&mibextid=Zxz2cZ "Salt Lake City is a major league city," said Steve Starks, CEO of the Miller Company. "We believe that as a top-30 media market in the fastest-growing state in the country with the youngest population, that's where our attention should be -- and that we could accomplish bringing a team to the Wasatch Front."

  16. Highly doubtful with my vastly over inflated sense of self worth.
  17. I’d totally have my own statue in my front yard. Doing some awesome jump turning roundhouse kick. If anyone knows any sculptors, PM me. I’ll pay with exposure-all 150 of my FB friends will see your work! 😉
  18. I’m not sure about that. The church cares deeply about it’s reputation, and they should. That’s why they have a PR staff and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, one reason the missionaries can’t dye their hair green and wear spiked nose rings is because the church cares about their image. 75% of the time the phrase “I don’t care what others think.” has a different meaning. It usually means “I’m very lonely and have alienated everyone close to me so I’ll pretend I don’t care because it makes me feel better” No, seriously. I’ve never seen a happy, friendly person who has a great life say that. It’s usually abrasive, angry people who say that.
  19. I’m always amazed by this. Even in 2023 so many people down here just give you a blank stare if you tell them you are LDS.
  20. Lol. Just different tastes.
  21. I knew you liked Dune. Very cool my friend!
